Zac was our server and honestly it was just a bad experience all around. Food was cold and over cooked and he kept wanting to talk our ear off. Needs to work on more professional customer service. read more

Little disappointing to be honest. I ordered the steak frites and it comes sliced. This must be new because previous times it was not sliced. The steak was cold too. It tasted ok but, wish it wasnt already sliced. service was good read more

The bartenders at the Cumberland Mall location need in-service training from Tatum on what a stellar bartender looks like. Tatum greeted me promptly, was super engaging, and was extremely professional. This was the first time at the bar where served their "polished upscale environment" was matched with a "genuine sense of hospitality ." Tatum exceed my expectations. As per usual, the food was delicious. It was the first time I had the salmon and it was wonderful. Thank Tatum and everyone else who made this a great dining experience. read more

We made a reservation for a party of 4, during the week, for a birthday dinner. We were seated right away to a corner booth as requested. Our server was delightful and super fast. I asked for a sample of the soup before ordering it and loved it soooo much, I had to order a cup. The Lobster Bisque is fantastic and had real pieces of lobster on top. The complimentary rolls were also impressive as they were soft and flavorful with a slight sweet taste to them. I ordered the Filet Medallions with a Crab Cake and Roasted Cauliflower as my side. I was extremely impressed with the taste and texture of the Crab Cake. The Filet Medallions were about 2 oz each quantity 2. They were pretty good but not as good as my husband's Steak next to me. He ordered the Sweet Potato Casserole with it which was sweet and savory. For dessert, the birthday boy received a complimentary chocolate cake and we also ordered the Key Lime pie. I must say the Key Lime pie was exceptional!! The portion was shareable and the taste was perfection on a plate. We are looking forward to coming back here and highly recommend this restaurant!! read more

I was Dining one day at Roswell Location and it is an Open Kitchen, where you can see who's cooking. I saw the Grill Cook scratch his back underneath his shirt with the Tongs he cooks meat with! He was also touching food and not wearing any Gloves! Eewww!! Nasty This was enough to make me not come back. read more

Great place to dine, went for dinner and drinks. First time I went I sat at the bar, great service even though it was crowded. Customer service was still great. So for my stater I had the spinach & artichoke dip a nice beverage. The rolls i can't tell you how many I ate but they were goooooood. For my main course I had the steak with caramelized onion whipped potatoes with sautéed asparagus. Let's just say I went back again, this time I sat at the table,I'm a repeated customer now. read more

The service was great but the food was not as good as I remembered. My salad had way too much dressing on it. The server took it back and had it remade and although it was a lot better, I was already full off the bread and appetizers since I had to eat something while waiting for my new salad. This was my first time visiting this location and I probably won't be back. I prefer the Cumberland location. read more

Arrived 6:20. Maybe 4 other parties in the restaurant. Nobody waiting. Walked in and asked for a table for 2. Was told they need to clear a table and to give them a minute. Sat down. A party of 5 was seated. And 3 other couples were seated. We got up to leave and asked what the issue was. Was told the other people had reservations. Called the restaurant to ask for a manager. Spoke to Olivia and she apologized. The two hostesses were Sofia and Hillary. Horrible service and snotty attitudes. read more

The ambience was great, the food was delicious, the only issue was that they do not make cocktails or flavored lemonades and me being a nun alcoholic drinker. I wanted something, sweet other than just regular tea and lemonade. I talked to the waiter. He went to the bartender to see if she could just add some type of flavor mango or blueberry. She refused and said she only does that for alcoholic drinks other than that, it was great. read more

I enjoyed Stoney river but unfortunately no photos as it was a business dinner. Cocktail of choice was a straight up Martini and the bartender did it right. Lobster Bisque - 3/5 it was just ok Coffee crusted sirloin - 5/5 absolutely well prepared and very flavorful. Great cut of meat and a top choice if visiting The interior isn't pretentious or fancy so just right if you're looking for a nice dinner. read more

Ladies (and gents!), there are days when self-care looks like fried shrimp and French fries. Today was one of those days and I chose Stoney River for my outing. Here's why... It's quiet. There are lots of window seats. My servers are always kind. This time I had Naomi and she was a literal ray of sunshine. The platter checks all the boxes for crispy indulgence. See my picture! It's a convenient location - you'll find it at the intersection of Alpharetta Hwy and E Crossville Rd. Parking is super easy - there's a gigantic lot adjacent to the restaurant. read more

An absolutely perfect celebration setting for our dear friend/family. Zane was THE BEST server; attentive, professional, and on top of assuring we paid for dinner (the famous credit card "who can pay first game"). Lol! The ribeyes (Medium Rare) we ordered were perfect! Along with the NY strip, and fresh salads- everything was top notch! The fireplace was perfect for making the environment warm and inviting. The complimentary birthday dessert made the night; will definitely recommend to visit, but request Zane for an amazing experience!!!' read more

I chose to have my birthday dinner at this location tonight instead of the restaurant in Atlanta. The food was good but I left there feeling some type of way. We had a female server and something was a bit off about her. My daughter felt it too. She was doing her job but here's where things got weird. So after the meal she brings out the chocolate complimentary cake and handed us some forks like Happy Birthday. Just a few minutes before she is all celebratory with the table next to us with a candle lit and the whole nine yards. The table in front of us they bring out the cake and candle and another across the room. I said why did she just bring mine out the way she did and she claimed she couldn't find any candles, lol gaslighting at its finest so professional too. Then she asks if the bill should be spilt . It's my birthday so I guess either I am paying on my tab or my daughter who's 11 is paying her own while my husband is sitting next to me. That was the last straw. I will be contacting the manager in the morning. read more

Everything I've had to eat here tastes made from scratch. These biscuits are the best "restaurant" biscuits I've ever eaten. Taste like ones from my Grandma's kitchen! I'll start by saying our meals were good, but we all thought the restaurant over-rated. One can take or leave my assessment -- I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant kind of person. But the other two? They loooove prime rib. Ambience is clubby, cozy and comfortable, perfect on a cold winter's day. Service is sublime. And the little rolls they start you off with are really good. We asked if two salads would be adequate for the three of us as a starter. "Oh yes!" assured our waitress. Technically, one salad is plenty. They're big. I requested my salmon be cooked medium-rare. It arrived medium-well. To their credit, the server insisted on preparing another. I realized while I was eating that the lemon glaze or whatever was noted on the menu, was undetectable. (The salmon tasted no different than what I cook at home.) The fish came with broccoli al dente -- that's good; I hate mushy -- and a big baked potato. One in my party enjoyed his prime rib. The other said it wasn't juicy. Can't comment; didn't try it. As we're prone to do, we paid the corkage fee -- $25 per bottle -- and brought our own wine. On Saturday afternoon, it was a pleasant, unhurried meal. But will I return? Probably not. read more

Wonder food. Had steaks that was delicious. Wife also had crab cakes that were awesome. Service was fantastic.

I've had average here and I've had amazing here. Our server last night took great care of us and made sure our dinner was amazing. I don't drink alcohol but I usually order a coke. Some Restaurants like this will serve bottles but I love that these are fountain sodas. And my server was on point. I never had an empty glass. And he recognized when we were done with each course and boxed it for us. He was there to answer questions without coming across as a salesman. Last night was definitely five stars. Already looking forward to our next visit. read more

We frequent the place and have usually been satisfied. However, on January 29, we went in for lunch and were very disappointed. The service was fine, but the food quality was poor. My wife's crab cake was not thoroughly cooked. The steak on the steak salad was dry and very tough. It made me think the filet was a left-over and had been warmed up for me. I didn't complain immediately because I didn't want to involve the server. Their clue should have been that we ate so little of the meals we ordered. read more

Stoney River is a classic! We started coming here because all of our special occasion restaurants started to fail us Stoney River saved the day! Mind you it's expensive so it's perfect for that special meal! Always make a reservation!!! We always make one and never have issues with seating. To start off, the beer selection is mid but the wine list is great and so are the drinks. We have tried the El Matador and the Tequila Mockingbird which are just refreshing! After drinks, grab yourself a roll with that heavenly cinnamon butter. Those rolls are dessert wow!! For an appetizer they have a great menu but we always split 2 house salads with their homemade ranch for 4 people and that salad is the bomb! If only I could make one like that. For the entree, you can't go wrong with steak but my personal favorite is the prime rib sandwich! It's basically a piece of prime rib that comes with 2 pieces of bread for half the price. My favorite thing on earth and it's so good!! Some other fan favorites are the fried shrimp, ribeye, steak and biscuits, cheeseburger and the chicken tenders!! For the sides the Parmesan fries kill and the mac and cheese is to die for. Gotta love Stoney river' read more

Our first time was for our 49th anniversary, may I say, this restaurant is our new favorite! I had the Pecan Crusted Trout, one of the top 3 trout dishes I've ever had. My hubby had the Prime Rib, melt in your mouth. The sides were well seasoned and the right temp. The Hostess was so accommodating, at our first table we were near 3 men who were way louder than was acceptable (it was lunch)! She moved us to an area that was private and we felt much more comfortable. Needless, to say, we will be back often. Prices are well worth it. Service was very good. They had a Happy Anniversary card signed by the manager, chef and our server for us. Attention to detail was excellent. Lovely Ambience, you won't be disappointed!! read more

Father's Day Disaster -- Poor Service and Disrespectful Experience I made a reservation for seven people at 2:00 PM to celebrate my father's 80th birthday, which also happened to be Father's Day -- a very special occasion. Unfortunately, the experience we had at this restaurant was deeply disappointing and upsetting. We were seated on time, but from the beginning, the service was unprofessional. The water brought to our table was undrinkable -- it tasted off and left a bad impression. When I asked the waitress if the water was filtered, she said they offer bottled water instead. We reluctantly ordered seven bottled waters just to avoid the unpleasant tap water. We placed our appetizer orders, and the waitress took our entree orders about 25 minutes into the meal. Between 2:30 and 3:30 PM, we sat there eating bread baskets while watching other tables -- who were seated after us -- receive their meals. After about an hour with no food, I flagged down another staff member to speak with the manager. When the manager arrived, I was told they were "a little busy" and also fulfilling call-in orders. That response was shocking -- should takeout orders really take priority over guests dining in the restaurant? It showed a complete disregard for the in-house experience, especially for a special occasion like ours. Frustrated, I asked the waitress to bring us the bill so we could leave. Then the maître d' came over and insisted they were working on our food. He claimed they told the waitress to not give us the bill, even though I had explicitly asked for it. This level of miscommunication and dismissiveness was appalling. At exactly 3:30 PM, the food finally arrived -- over an hour after we ordered -- and it looked rushed and unappetizing. The presentation was sloppy, and at that point, my appetite and patience were gone. I told my family they were welcome to stay and eat if they wished, but I wouldn't be staying. The experience had already been ruined. This review isn't just about slow service or bad water -- it's about the complete lack of customer care. On a day that was supposed to be a celebration, we left feeling disrespected and deeply disappointed. I would strongly suggest the restaurant reconsider its priorities -- dine-in guests should never come second to takeout -- and invest in proper filtered water so that guests aren't forced to buy bottled water just to have a drinkable option. Service and food are consistently good. Setting is lovely with good non harsh lighting. The brunch menu is diverse and cocktails offer high quality liquor. The tiny rolls are sweet like a donut, very unique. Tuna stack is good but a bit tough to eat. Spinach dip is much larger than expected and warm and gooey goodness. Steak and biscuits did not disappoint. Tender and soft, buttery and different. Pecan crusted trout is covered in the honey Dijon mustard which my husband didn't care for. Sides such as garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli are excellent. Filet medallions are wonderful and a huge amount of food. Go here for brunch, you won't be sorry. read more

Pretty overrated for a steak house wasn't the best and the service was terrible but had a good experience.

As usual, Stoney River provided a great dinner with perfect service. What more can I say?

This place was recommended to us by our Son when we visited Alpharetta Georgia. It is a beautiful establishment. When we entered we were nicely greeted and then seated right away. Our waitress came to the table, welcomed us, and took our drink orders. We like to drink draft beer and sadly they had limited options. Like who doesn't have Blue Moon and Guinness on draft? Really, like who doesn't? We ordered the aforementioned beers that was poured in nicely chilled glasses. We started with soup and opted out having appetizers. Beautiful Husband got the Lobster Bisque and I had the French Onion Soup. The bisque was a bit bit bland but colorful. Oh boy, but the onion soup was savory, flavorful and didn't disappoint. I noticed the bisque was blatantly ignored by my husband who was crooning while helping himself to my soup. For the entrée we agreed to order the Meatloaf dinner and split the entrée. Boy oh boy the thyme and rosemary aromatic, meatloaf was juicy and moist deliciousness. The fluffy mash potatoes was seasoned just right. The sauce gravy served with the meatloaf was lackluster but edible. The broccoli was steamed and salted perfectly. My husband suggested using the flavorful leftover onion soup broth over the potatoes. Bam! That elevated the flavor of the mashed potatoes making the dish taste so comforting and homey. Overall, we had a good memorable dinner experience that we can look back own warmly and when we share our vacation memories with family and friends. Our waitress was very friendly and professional she checked in on us but didn't over do it. If I would make one suggestion to improve the drinking experience that would be to up their draft beer list. Do I recommend this place if you're visiting Alpharetta like us? Yep. I encourage you to give it a try and then make your own decision about your food experience. read more
