The bartenders at the Cumberland Mall location need in-service training from Tatum on what a stellar bartender looks like. Tatum greeted me promptly, was super engaging, and was extremely professional. This was the first time at the bar where served their "polished upscale environment" was matched with a "genuine sense of hospitality ." Tatum exceed my expectations. We made a reservation for a party of 4, during the week, for a birthday dinner. We were seated right away to a corner booth as requested. Our server was delightful and super fast. I asked for a sample of the soup before ordering it and loved it soooo much, I had to order a cup. The Lobster Bisque is fantastic and had real pieces of lobster on top. The complimentary rolls were also impressive as they were soft and flavorful with a slight sweet taste to them. I ordered the Filet Medallions with a Crab Cake and Roasted Cauliflower as my side. I was extremely impressed with the taste and texture of the Crab Cake. The Filet Medallions were about 2 oz each quantity 2. They were pretty good but not as good as my husband's Steak next to me. He ordered the Sweet Potato Casserole with it which was sweet and savory. For dessert, the birthday boy received a complimentary chocolate cake and we also ordered the Key Lime pie. I chose to have my birthday dinner at this location tonight instead of the restaurant in Atlanta. The food was good but I left there feeling some type of way. We had a female server and something was a bit off about her. My daughter felt it too. She was doing her job but here's where things got weird. So after the meal she brings out the chocolate complimentary cake and handed us some forks like Happy Birthday. Just a few minutes before she is all celebratory with the table next to us with a candle lit and the whole nine yards. The table in front of us they bring out the cake and candle and another across the room. I said why did she just bring mine out the way she did and she claimed she couldn't find any candles, lol gaslighting at its finest so professional too. Then she asks if the bill should be spilt . I've had average here and I've had amazing here. Our server last night took great care of us and made sure our dinner was amazing. I don't drink alcohol but I usually order a coke. Some Restaurants like this will serve bottles but I love that these are fountain sodas. And my server was on point. I never had an empty glass. I'll start by saying our meals were good, but we all thought the restaurant over-rated. One can take or leave my assessment -- I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant kind of person. But the other two? They loooove prime rib. Ambience is clubby, cozy and comfortable, perfect on a cold winter's day. Service is sublime. And the little rolls they start you off with are really good. We asked if two salads would be adequate for the three of us as a starter. "Oh yes!" assured our waitress. Technically, one salad is plenty. They're big. I requested my salmon be cooked medium-rare. It arrived medium-well. To their credit, the server insisted on preparing another. I realized while I was eating that the lemon glaze or whatever was noted on the menu, was undetectable. (The salmon tasted no different than what I cook at home.) The fish came with broccoli al dente -- that's good; I hate mushy -- and a big baked potato. One in my party enjoyed his prime rib. The other said it wasn't juicy. Can't comment; didn't try it. As we're prone to do, we paid the corkage fee -- $25 per bottle -- and brought our own wine. Our first time was for our 49th anniversary, may I say, this restaurant is our new favorite! I had the Pecan Crusted Trout, one of the top 3 trout dishes I've ever had. My hubby had the Prime Rib, melt in your mouth. The sides were well seasoned and the right temp. The Hostess was so accommodating, at our first table we were near 3 men who were way louder than was acceptable (it was lunch)! Father's Day Disaster -- Poor Service and Disrespectful Experience I made a reservation for seven people at 2:00 PM to celebrate my father's 80th birthday, which also happened to be Father's Day -- a very special occasion. Unfortunately, the experience we had at this restaurant was deeply disappointing and upsetting. We were seated on time, but from the beginning, the service was unprofessional. The water brought to our table was undrinkable -- it tasted off and left a bad impression. When I asked the waitress if the water was filtered, she said they offer bottled water instead. We reluctantly ordered seven bottled waters just to avoid the unpleasant tap water. We placed our appetizer orders, and the waitress took our entree orders about 25 minutes into the meal. Between 2:30 and 3:30 PM, we sat there eating bread baskets while watching other tables -- who were seated after us -- receive their meals. After about an hour with no food, I flagged down another staff member to speak with the manager. When the manager arrived, I was told they were "a little busy" and also fulfilling call-in orders. That response was shocking -- should takeout orders really take priority over guests dining in the restaurant? It showed a complete disregard for the in-house experience, especially for a special occasion like ours. Frustrated, I asked the waitress to bring us the bill so we could leave. Then the maître d' came over and insisted they were working on our food. He claimed they told the waitress to not give us the bill, even though I had explicitly asked for it. This level of miscommunication and dismissiveness was appalling. At exactly 3:30 PM, the food finally arrived -- over an hour after we ordered -- and it looked rushed and unappetizing. The presentation was sloppy, and at that point, my appetite and patience were gone. I told my family they were welcome to stay and eat if they wished, but I wouldn't be staying. The experience had already been ruined. This review isn't just about slow service or bad water -- it's about the complete lack of customer care. On a day that was supposed to be a celebration, we left feeling disrespected and deeply disappointed. I would strongly suggest the restaurant reconsider its priorities -- dine-in guests should never come second to takeout -- and invest in proper filtered water so that guests aren't forced to buy bottled water just to have a drinkable option. Mind you it's expensive so it's perfect for that special meal! Always make a reservation!!! We always make one and never have issues with seating. To start off, the beer selection is mid but the wine list is great and so are the drinks. We have tried the El Matador and the Tequila Mockingbird which are just refreshing! After drinks, grab yourself a roll with that heavenly cinnamon butter. Those rolls are dessert wow!! For an appetizer they have a great menu but we always split 2 house salads with their homemade ranch for 4 people and that salad is the bomb! If only I could make one like that. For the entree, you can't go wrong with steak but my personal favorite is the prime rib sandwich! It's basically a piece of prime rib that comes with 2 pieces of bread for half the price. The tiny rolls are sweet like a donut, very unique. Tuna stack is good but a bit tough to eat. Spinach dip is much larger than expected and warm and gooey goodness. Steak and biscuits did not disappoint. Tender and soft, buttery and different. Pecan crusted trout is covered in the honey Dijon mustard which my husband didn't care for. This place was recommended to us by our Son when we visited Alpharetta Georgia. It is a beautiful establishment. When we entered we were nicely greeted and then seated right away. The sauce gravy served with the meatloaf was lackluster but edible. The broccoli was steamed and salted perfectly. My husband suggested using the flavorful leftover onion soup broth over the potatoes. Bam! That elevated the flavor of the mashed potatoes making the dish taste so comforting and homey. Overall, we had a good memorable dinner experience that we can look back own warmly and when we share our vacation memories with family and friends. Our waitress was very friendly and professional she checked in on us but didn't over do it.
