I've been here twice, the food is okay. It's not amazing. The garlic noodles definitely don't compare to Vox. The garlic rice had a hint of garlic flavor and that's it, but the green sauce saved it. I've been coming here consistently for quite a while. The customer service is generally spot on. And they pretty often hit the Asian comfort food if I crave occasionally. I think they're Pho is the best in the neighborhood short of going to Westminster or Garden Grove. And I have tried quite a few pho places within about a 10-block radius and urban cup has one of the best pho soup base. I think their pho is their best entree dish. Their next best entree dish may be there yellow curry. Their Pad Thai and fried rice is pretty decent. And most of their appetizers or side dishes are amazing, although for nostalgic reasons they're fried BBQ pork baked buns don't quite hit the spot for me. But definitely everything is pretty tasty. Also, prior to covid-19 when guests could sit inside, there were plenty of outlets for people to use the laptops or cell phones. There is free Wi-Fi. There are a few small appetizer options, customizable main plates and specialized beverages. Since I wasn't too hungry I ordered the popcorn chicken and cajun garlic fries which were both enough to share with 2-3 people. The popcorn chicken was pretty standard - lightly battered and seasoned- but the garlic fries were very tasty! My friend ordered a plate with garlic noodles with shrimp and the other with garlic noodles with rotisserie chicken. Both came with a small side of kale salad. I took a bite of the shrimp and it was good but the noodles-although cooked well weren't as garlicky as I expected. There were a few booths and central stool seating. Also the service was very friendly. Our cashier even let us know a free drink came with a check-in. Pretty good food at a decent price. I came here once and it was good. I ordered the top sirloin with garlic rice- the cashier tried to warn me about the garlic rice saying it's very garlicy but I love garlic and it was delicious. The seasoning with onions were tender and juicy. My bf got the tiger shrimp with the garlic noodles- it was good but the noodles were a little too oily. Shrimp was big and good. I specifically asked for my meat to be cooked well done. I also requested a side salad with my meal. The meat showed up completely raw. And there was no side salad. After paying $50, and receiving a very mediocre meal, I called the restaurant and the person working informed me that there was nothing he could do because only his manager could make decisions. So I'm out of $50 and dinner. I used to frequent this place regularly. Unfortunately, I will not return because the quality of their food and service has gone down tremendously. I am astonished by the fact that they don't understand uncooked food can make people extremely sick, and when I brought it to their attention they didn't seem to care at all. I will also be calling the local health department to let them know that this is the kind of food and service people are receiving from this restaurant. You guys need to do better! To start off, I'm always down for Asian-fusion and I saw the great reviews, so I need I had to swing by, and today I went here for the first time and it exceeded my expectations. First thing that caught my eye is the simplicity of the menu. Basically there is one "entree" to choose from and you simply customize your choice of "carb" and "protein" as well as extra toppings if you're into that. I ordered the Baby Back Ribs (Gochujang) + Roasted Garlic Rice along with a Vietnamese Coffee. Note: It doesn't say this on the menu but I believe all orders come with a simple mixed green salad which comes with a pretty tasty salad dressing. As for the meat, it was perfectly prepared. The meat was extremely easy to eat off the bone (didn't even need to use my hands) and had a subtle kick to them from the gochujang. Or, in fewer words, it was bomb.com. I would definitely get this again. Meanwhile, the Garlic Rice was good, although the garlic flavor was not very strong. I like garlic, so I would've preferred a more pronounced flavor, but if you don't like garlic..... well, actually I don't know why you would this order (lol). Lastly, the Vietnamese Coffee was quite good. They make it a little bit differently here than most other places. Specifically, the coffee is lighter than most other places they also add hazelnut, which you can definitely taste. I liked it, but it definitely wasn't your normal "Cafe Sua Da". Overall, I'm planning to come back soon and try the other things on the menu. I'll add my thoughts about everything next time. PS: if you check in on yelp, you get a free fountain drink which is of the Stubborn brand. Their menu consisted of dishes from different regions of Asia. The food is good if you are looking to get a quick casual bite. I usually have their pad thai, pho, or curry, which hits the spot when I'm having craving for that dish. My girlfriend loves their salmon dish, and orders it almost every time. We also get their gyoza, which is pretty good. All in all, I like this place and am satisfied with their offerings, and I like that they have a variety of different dishes. Well, we don't k ow what happened to this place. We loved this place at first but then they changed. Their Bao Buns were delicious! They changed the ingredients and entire recipe. Did a search on Yelp for lunch recommendations close by our hotel and Urban Cup popped up. Asian fusion dishes and all the Yelp pictures of their food lured us in. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the cashier who was anxiously ready to take our order. A quick look at the menu and we quickly ordered the ribeye Pho soup, an order of popcorn chicken, soy garlic wings, salmon rice plate, and the filet mignon plate. We were not seated longer than 2 minutes when the Pho was delivered to our table. The bowl of Pho was big enough for our party of 4 to share. My two daughters gave it a thumbs up and devoured it. My salmon plate was tasty, although I could have done without the mushroom sauce that was drizzled on top. The husband enjoyed his filet mignon plate which he requested be served with garlic noodles. The popcorn chicken and the wings were nice and crunchy on the outside but still tender on the inside. All pretty good, but I did notice that all their dishes, at least the ones we tried with the exception of the Pho was heavy on the garlic and soy sauce. After halfway through eating I got a bit of an after taste in my mouth from all the garlic and soy. I'm a fan of the broth, however I couldn't tell if the broth was oily/fatty as is, or if it was because the meat came in the same broth container (I ordered take out), so during and after I ate, my lips and mouth felt greasy and the food just sat different in my stomach, similar to when I eat greasy/fatty foods. So so good! This is my favorite find of the summer. My aunt changed the plan last minute and told us to meet her here.
