I went to this nail salon a little over a week and a half ago. The guy who did my nails was nice but my nail beds were red and bleeding long after because he was kind of rough. The nails turned out really nice, I got dip powder with fake tips for $50. However, when I got back from my vacation I noticed that the polish and tips were lifting off of my real nail after only a week and a half. Most dip I've had done before lasts 3 weeks. I had to find some fake nail glue to try and help keep them down for a couple of days so my nails wouldn't rip. I was definitely overcharged. The upscale pedicure on their menu showed $52. My receipt shows I paid $67. They charged me $10 for a nail repair. I had no nails to repair. I went in for a full set w/gel which i was charged $50 for. Overall I was charged $127 and I'm not happy. Then they had the nerve to ask if I wanted to tip them lol hell no. Very overpriced. A new nail salon in Arlington (opened February 2017). Based on my experience with nail salons near me...this was much needed!! I have been to this salon twice now. I was their very first customer on opening day and then I went back a few weeks later. Customer service is top notch. They really want to take care of you and get the services you desire. I've had pedicures and manicures. There are hundreds of colors to choose from. Gel colors typically have a matching non gel color, but look before committing because it doesn't always match 100%. It's very relaxing and clean. The "bar" portion of their name means just that...enjoy wine, margarita, and other beverages as a complimentary feature to your experience. I've had different techs at the salon and they have all been very good. If you find a tech you really like, then you can request an appointment with them. I have just been a walk in customer. The last time I've gotten them done THREE of MY nails have cracked. I went back in there as a fairly busy time (my mistake) and asked for them to be fixed. She then expected me to wait for 3 people in front of me because "first come first serve" I then asked her why I have to wait if they messed up my nails and I already paid AND waited for this set? This place was ok. I am VERY picky when it comes to nail salons though. In a rush so I only had time to stop and get acrylic nails removed and a manicure. First issue, it was not a comfortable temperature, they had window open to enjoy the 83 degree humidity. Second, the chairs were a little uncomfortable, they are more like a bar chair, so if your short your feet will hang. Third, which is my biggest pet peeve, the cleanliness!!! The guy didn't wear gloves and I didn't see him wash hands. I did ask if they use new tools for pedicures and a different plastic bag in water and he said yes. Fourth issue, the price.. way too overpriced for the quality. I normally tip really well, I only gave a $5 tip (because he was a nice guy) but I will not be back unfortunately. read more

This new nail salon is really pretty and well decorated. I had a full set done and regular polish. The nail salon has a standard "wine bar" located in the shop. My nails came out nice however the only thing I had issues with is the fact the technician does not moisturize/oil your cuticles once you have had all of those chemical added to you nails. I also don't like the gap between my mail and the tip not being filled in with nail glue I have all types of things getting in between my nails and it makes my nails look gross. I don't think I will be back to this location. This salon really only caters to women getting no chip or dip nails. read more

I have been here a few times but I've never had as great an experience as I had today. The woman named Bapsy who did my pedicure was amazing. She was so sweet and took her time resulting in perfectly polished toenails. She also spent a lot of time massaging my feet and legs. I felt so relaxed afterwards. I will definitely be back to see her. Eric did my manicure. I wanted short white tips and he recommended doing the powder dip because it strengthens your nails. He was extremely friendly as well. Wow! I am from out of town and decided to go and get a pedicure at the last minute to relax for a bit. I got the herbal pedicure with the mango scent and the entire experience was fantastic, I wish I lived close to here so I could come back! The best part was the woman named Bapsy who did my pedicure, if you can request her, DO! I feel so lucky that I got such an awesome pedi even though I just walked in....she was beyond amazing and very nice! It was as good or better than a high end spa!! I feel like if I'm spending over $150 in services, I should be able To have two half-pours if box wine. To be fair, I have been going here for 2 years. Other than the sometimesy pricing, it's USUALLY great. But my last experience has not been the best and has me considering finding a new nail spot. For some back story, I usually get my nails dipped. They are my natural nails that they do the dip overlay on. They usually last roughly 3 weeks, but I have gone much longer than that with no problems. IF I break a nail, it is because I've done something totally stupid like pry something open with my nails. I can own up to that. No harm no foul on the part of the nail salon. But this last set was quite different. I have broken 3 nails and 3 more are lifting. The first nail I broke grabbing the tail of my 14 lb dog. This wasn't even a full week after me having them done. But ok, whatever. I went back and paid for them to fix it. 2 days later, I broke another nail taking clothes out of the washing machine. I was really upset with that one. I went back and told them what happened.They fixed it without me having to pay for it, but I asked what could I do to keep this from happening again. He said you must have hit it on something. But I didn't though......Remember, I've been getting my nails done at this salon for 2 years, but getting dipped nails for YEARS! Trust me, I've picked up my dog and washed clothes plenty of time over the past 5 or 6 years. Then today I went to open the refrigerator and the entire nail broke off!! I also realized that I have to be careful about doing certain things like changing clothes or picking up my laptop bag because 3 other nails are lifting from the bottom and they feel like they are about to pop off as well. To be honest, I feel like they may have changed to a cheaper dipping powder. They usually use SNS, but this powder is a brand I had never heard of. I'm trying to decide if I am going to give them another try or just find a new place to go. read more

Great nail salons can be hard to find but I am glad I have the option of Upscale Nail Bar. They are reasonably priced ($35) for dip nails and they have a full bar. I came here on a Saturday morning around 11 scared it would be packed but was pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't. They have around 20 pedicure seats and multiple paces for manicures. I have noticed a lot of the nail salons in the area seem to focus on pedicures and only have 4 or so manicure stations. They had triple that and each was clean. I had Tony do my nails and he was great! Quick, professional and fun to talk to. I got a light pink color and he did a great job of making sure it wasn't too thick.
