Time for an update on my local Glam India. I've been to them all and each is as phenomenal as the last, but this location is my home base and therefore is most-deserving of an update. I'm ever-impressed with the insanely talented, beautiful women who run this stellar queendom of spas (4 locations across Arlington and Bedford) and the reliable, quality, satisfaction-guaranteed-service they provide. I've never left Glam India unhappy.. I always leave looking and feeling and even smelling better because their products smell so good. I've done a few things here: brow tinting, brow threading, henna, eyelash extensions, an eyelash lift. At this very moment in time I'm au naturel so I'm jealous of my perfectly browed and extra-long-lashed past-self. I need to make an appointment! And I also want to try some new things. Besides what I already listed, Glam India offers a variety of facials, microneedling, dermaplaning, microblading, hair treatments, eyebrow extensions, waxing, and likely more things I'm forgetting.. They happily take walk-ins if there is availability and enough time for whatever service you want, but I recommend booking an appointment online (or you can call). I love every single staff member I've ever met here. These women are kind, skilled, efficient, and professional. The owner, Saleema, has really built an exceptional business and put together the most talented team. If you couldn't tell, I'm a big, big fan. I got the opportunity to visit this amazing spa for the Yelp Elite event for a complimentary eyebrow threading and henna. The spa was so cute and the employees were very friendly and helpful. I like my brows full and they shaped and cleaned them up beautifully without thinning them out too much. Literally perfection!! I love glam India, it's a female, run business, and it is done amazingly well... They are so loving and generous and compassionate. They do a great job just normally for everybody... But I had a friend who had a brain tumor. They removed it. I had to put a breast implants in where part of her brain had been, and she had this nasty scar on her head, and was bald like a kickball, and we went to climb in the air because she wanted to get her eyebrows done, and they did the most amazing rose henna wreath on her head, and it made her feel like a princess, and the best was they didn't even charger. They said her money was no good there. It made her feel amazing for weeks... I will be forever grateful for that... Which is why I always go get my hair done at glam, India. read more

I went to the location off 360 in GP to get my individual lashes I told her I wanted something natural and not extra she made them look so extra and they were placed uneven somewhere up and some were down. I was very un-happy that I asked her to take them off which she did she put some lashes remove which burn my eye and still ended having to pay $100 for a horrible job. read more

They do a great job threading my eyebrows. With my nationality they grow back in pretty quick but with threading it's just strays and I can pluck them out in between visits. Def glad I started threading. Less painful then wax and it lasts longer. read more

This is the only place I go to get my eyebrows threaded. I have gone to many places and trust me when I say this is the best! This business has another location south of I 20 but the one near uta campus is my favorite. Staff great you when walking through the door. They are quick at threading but if you go on a weekend or busy peak time you will wait around 20 minutes to get seated. I love the way my eyebrows look after getting them done here. I get so many compliments when I get my eyebrows done. One time i tried the eyebrow tint and I got soo many compliments the whole week of how awesome they looked. read more

Do not go here for lashes! I went for my first time on a Saturday, service was quick (a bit too quick) and they were nice. My regular lash lady was booked so I went to get some quick lashes. I paid $40 for some super synthetic clusters, which, per the tech, would last atleast 2 weeks which I was fine with, long enough to get a appointment at my usual place. She did them super fast, which should've been a tip off, but I didn't think much of it. Fast forward 4 days and my lashes lol atrocious, crispy and falling off. I was at least expecting to get a good 7 days out of them, she said if I had issues she would fix them. Let me be clear, I've always had lash extensions and I say that to say, I know how to care for them, I don't get any water on them or rub them etc. I came back to the shop on day 6 which by then they were embarrassing and unwearable, where the atmosphere went to nice and calm to combative and rude. The "manager" of the store, after having me wait 30 minutes proceeded to ask me if I put heat on my lashes...HEAT. There was no apology, no solution, just blame. I will never go there again of course but I wanted to make a review so my ladies that value the look of their lashes don't go here, girl go buy some store lashes instead of coming here. read more

While I did not try the tinting again since my brows are micro blades already, the threading job is on point. I was feeling adventurous and also got a back of the neck henna done. I have been to this location at least 3x times and have been fairly satisfied until tonight! I made an appointment at 5:58 pm for 6:45 pm. I arrived at about 6:35 and at 6:45 (my appt time) was advised that "Bobby" was running a little behind and if I wouldn't mind waiting 10 minutes. FIFTEEN minutes went by and I then asked for a manager to assist. What I believe to be the Mgr came up and advised the appts for Bobby had ran behind. I inquired why that wasn't mentioned to me when I first call as likely she was behind then too. She could only offer I continue to wait and offered no resolution for the inconvenience nor waste of my time, but said can you wait 10 mins. No ma'am that would be a total of 25 plus minutes and no consideration for our time either. This drive is 35 mins from my house. I do not plan to ever make this ride again for such mediocre customer service! UPDATE: I have received a favorable response from the business and will update my review accordingly. I originally seen this place on a Groupon. I went to their website and at that time they had an even better special at the location. For $59 you could get eyebrow threading, eyebrow tinting, and cluster/tab lashes. I was able to even get a same day appointment. Upon arriving, I was promptly greeted and asked if I had an appointment. I was introduced to Asha (I think that was her name) who was amazing! The threading was painless to me. This was my first time trying eyebrow tinting. I LOVE IT!!!!! She asked how dark I wanted my eyebrows to be and after conversing she mixed the dark brown and medium brown to make the perfect color. I didn't have to fill in my eyebrows for at least 3 weeks. It was amazing. I have had tab/cluster lashes before. Most places just grab what is available put them on you. This place actually shows you the different lengths to choose from and what kind of look you're going for. Wow! Thanks to Yelp Elite Event Squad, I discovered this absolute gem! Glam India has a group of fabulous ladies who are so sweet, thorough, and great at their work. The event was pretty crowded, but it was organized in a way that no one waited too long and it seemed like everyone got at least 2 treatments. Offered up were lash extensions, threading, brow tinting, and henna, which was what I was pretty hyped for. Brow threading can be a little painful, but I decided to go hard, so I had my whole face done. Ok, I should have had some champagne first because it was pretty intense! The girl who took up this mission was sweet and very thorough. My skin feels really good all over now and I think I'm going to try and get this done once a month. Next, I chatted with some nice gals while waiting for the henna treatment. Another very nice girl followed a picture pattern I had chosen from their option sheets and man was she fast! I couldn't believe how precise and easy she made it look. I am very happy with the design and will definitely treat myself to another henna application again. It's so pretty. This was my second time visiting the Glam India Threading establishments, my first time was the Bedford location and it was not the most pleasant experience the threading was uneven and the tent was way too light and did not look good ( paid $35). This time I went to the 1725 Cooper location and my experience was amazing. I only got my eyebrows and upper lip done this time (paid $10 plus tip) The lady that did my eyebrows and upper lip was amazing. She took her time, talked with me and made sure they were even and thick like I wanted to leave them. They still have to grow back from the last time I got them done but they are getting there. Bobbi is an excellent lash technician. The. Only reason that they got a 3 star instead of a 5 , is because the prices on their website does not reflect the salon prices. A Lash mink refill on the website states $35.00 once I got to the salon it is $ 50.00. Bobbi ( lash technician) spoke with Management and Management did not want to acknowledge the price on their website, even though I showed it to them. Management needs to stand by their advertising or make sure their advertisement is up to date. read more

Asmita is amazing, she SAVED my brows. I had them done in Dallas and they were completely lopsided, my face looked totally unsymmetrical. I was devastated. My first visit and first time getting lashes done! I was coming in to look fab for my birthday. It was a predetermined plan to get my eyebrows threading ( I had been growing them out for a few weeks unintentionally). I yelped an eyebrow threading place and Glam India popped up! After reading the reviews I decided to drop by. I called ahead to see if I could come in at about 3 and they had some availability so off to Arlington I went. The shop itself is in a little plaza. They have their own designated parking in the lot which is great. I walked in everyone greeted me! The teal haired woman who I believe is one of the managers or owners helped me pick out lashes since it was my first time. She even placed some on between the short and medium so I can get a better idea before get the set. I was there for about an hour but it was totally worth it! The threading was super quick and not bad pain wise. They wipe your eyebrows with alone gel after the threading to help cool the skin. My eyebrows usually get red and dry from waxing for 2 days but even leaving the shop I had no redness!! I am very happy about my lashes and with proper care should last about 2 weeks. I wanted to wait to write this review until lashes fell out or eyebrows erased. More than a week later I can FINALLY review this awesome event our fab leader, Kendall, put together for her Elite Yelpers. So.... no one who knows me would say I'm a salon gal. I don't get my nails done, my toes-rarely, and my brows? NEVER! I once had a panic attack getting hi-lights! This salon has totally changed me! I took my grown daughter with me to this AMAZING YELP ELITE EVENT! When we entered just after 7pm, the place was wall-to-wall women plus two dudes and I never thought we would be able to enjoy any of the services offered that night. So much activity, and such a popular event, my heart sank upon entering. Ten minutes late, I thought, probably NO chance of getting services. Oh poo! I figured we'd be so far down the list, seemed impossible these lovely ladies could make every gal present leave with a smile. Boy oh boy was I wrong! The techs at the salon were so fantastic, so fast, so gentle, so knowledgeable, and each and every one so beautiful!!!! Sipping champagne, a lovely dark eyed beauty with the most killer eyebrows discussed available treatments and promotions for our Yelp Glam nite.I was down for henna but that was about it. My daughter(my plus 1 ) was signing up for everything! I barely finished my first glass of champagne when I heard them call for her! Eyebrows threaded and tinted and omg what a freakin difference good eyebrows make. SERIOUSLY! EYEBROWS CAN CHANGE YOUR WHOLE FACE! Next, she had lashes put on. I felt like I was watching skilled surgeons! So quick but every movement so purposeful! How can they do such amazingly delicate work, all while thanking you for attending event, explaining additional beauty tweaks offered, or just chattin it up?? I have NEVER felt so comfortable, so cared for, the attention to their clients is just over the top fab! Ok, kid done, in like minutes- I swear! Could not believe my luck when the tech invited me to be next! I DID get threading done and it was kinda cool, didn't hurt and took mere minutes! Next she offered to fill in my brows(we tweezed ALOT a decade or two back). My daughter jumped in to answer a hearty Heck Ya! These beautiful, skilled women made me a total believer in this primping stuff! Who knew? Well everyone probably- except me! But now that I have seen the difference I intend to visit on the regular! You have to go in and see for yourself! Admittedly I have very little experience to compare the salon to another. But my daughter was just as blown away as I was. And she has tons of experience in getting pampered! My daughter's lashes lasted a full 9 days and she put them to the test for sure. Shoot the henna I had done still looks pretty good! This place, these lovely ladies with skill, technique, quickness and charm made a lasting impression on both of us for sure. Affordable?wholly cow YES!! Skilled techs who calm you while transforming you in what seemed like the blink of an eye? Oh totally YES!! Pretense: The last time I allowed anyone to touch my eyebrows was nearly 10 years ago and they ended up waxing off 1/2 of one of my eyebrows. So I was nervous to give threading a try to say the least. The ladies, and Ashanti, the one who actually worked on me, were all amazing and super helpful. I watched them do a few other women first, and after seeing how artfully their tinting was, decided to give that a try too. I told them how I usually do my eyebrows, which I have down to an art form, and they replicated my preferred arch better than I actually do! For the most part, the threading process was nearly painless with only a few tugs that made me twinge. For the tinting process, the first time they handed me the mirror I was shocked by how dark it was; but they quickly explained they would be wiping the product off within a few minutes and the contrast wouldn't be as startling. They did offer other services while I was there but were not pushy which I appreciated. The only reason for not giving them a 5 star review is due to my phone interaction with someone two days later. I'm not sure who I was speaking to but unfortunately it turns out I'm allergic to their tinting color. I needed to know the brand / product name and the girl was very rude about providing it. It wasn't until I told her I was literally on my way to the hospital and the doctors would need to know before she would go check. I had to ask her multiple times how to spell it since I was having difficulty understanding her accent. I ended up having to google for the product using only the first 3 letters - it's Refectocil, in case you need to know. Despite the nerve racking phone call, while I was physically there for services they were amazing and I did love the shape & tint (once the swelling, redness and boils went away.) Side Note: I am allergic to nearly everything, including actual hair dye which I knew prior to trying the tinting and spoke to them about beforehand as well. The product they use does not contain PPD, which is the coloring substance I know I'm allergic to so if you have ANY allergies that are a little out there aside from hay fever, I'd recommend doing an allergy test spot before using. This wasn't offered verbally but I believe they have a notice in their brochure referencing it's availability. read more

Love this place! Everyone I've used here has been great. I do a variety of treatments here- lash lift and tint, brow threading and tint, lip waxing, eyelash extensions, and facials. All of the treatments I've gotten are high quality, and you can't beat the price. I frequently go to both locations in Arlington, and I love that they frequently run specials on multiple services in case you're looking to really treat yourself. The waxers do not have their license to be waxing!! This was by far the worst waxing experience I have ever had! I was scheduled to have a Brazillian Wax at 10:30 am, and I did not leave until 12:00 pm. Asmi (my waxer) left me on the table by myself (with hot wax on me) after just a few minutes into the wax. I called out a couple of times, but no one came back to the room. After twenty minutes of waiting on the table (still have hot wax on me, but its hardened) I used my phone to call the front desk. The front desk told me they would let Asmi know. I waited another ten minutes on the table by myself before calling a second time. Asmi came back to the room five minutes later. I had spent a total time of THIRTY FIVE MINUTES on the table by myself. Asmi finally came back, and told me the reason she had been gone for so long was because the inspector was visiting, and HER LICENSE HAD EXPIRED. She then started pulling the hardened wax off, which was extremely painful. She put more hot wax on me, and then LEFT AGAIN. She was gone for ten minutes this time, and the wax had once again hardened on me. At the end of my wax, she asked my not to say anything about her license expiring. I was never formally apologized to, and was only offered a ten dollar discount. I will never be stepping foot back in this place, I am shocked they are allowing their waxers to wax without a valid license. read more

Original post: They do great eyebrows, but the haircut my mom got was not satisfactory. First of all my mom has straight to wavy hair. She wanted a short hairstyle. The lady cutting hair told her she doesn't have a shaver. She only uses scissors. I watched her cut hair, and to be honest I can't tell if she even has a license. I like their eyebrow service and hair removal service but go somewhere else to get a haircut. I was going to get one after my mom, but I changed my mind. I have curly hair, so if she can't cut straighter hair... no way can she cut curly hair. read more

I got eyebrows threaded and eyelash extensions for the first time here, I have always had the fear to do it but I finally got the nerve to do it and I loved it so much. At first I was skeptical because of the prices but I decided to try it out because of all the good reviews, and thank goodness I did, I don't regret it.
