I arrived to pick up packages that were on hold and instead of looking up my packages by my address she insisted on hearing 3 long UPS tracking numbers. "Sometimes I can look them up address, sometimes I can't. Sucks to be you today." read more

Ups technical support is almost nonexistent and awful. I cannot update my address or use my cell phone number for authentication. They have sent me activation codes by mail which also do not work. The phone representatives keep passing you along to someone else or give an excuse that you have to call someone else. My last delivery was messed up and it took ten hours to correct. Even the tracking number did not work. I have had multiple issues in the past with UPS and not isolated events. I will avoid purchasing anything from a seller in the future who uses UPS. The heartache and amount of work is just too great when something goes wrong. If I could give UP no stars I would. read more

If I could choose no stars I would. Paid for 2 day ground from Vero Beach, FL to Leesburg, VA, $65. The package contained baked goods for my daughter. Delivery was supposed to happen on a Thursday. I forgot to add the apartment number so there was a failed delivery attempt. I recognize that as totally my error. I called the 1800 UPS number (because of course they don't give out the individual center's phone numbers) and updated the apartment number. The individual I spoke to was from a call centers outside of the U.S. Trying to communicate with someone when English is not their first language can be problematic. She assured me they had the new apartment number and package would be delivered the following day, Friday. I also went on line and updated the address via the UPS website. I called 1 800 UPS again on Friday morning to make sure they had apartment number, they said yes. Lo and behold on Friday evening I get an update that the package was not delivered because they did not have the apartment number. I called the 1800 UPS number (715 pm) and went through the whole ordeal again. This time I spoke with a supervisor (in the U.S.) and he called dispatch directly who spoke to the driver, gave him the apartment number and was told the driver was going back to apartment to make delivery. After 9 pm I received another update from UPS saying package could not be delivered and would go out again for delivery on MONDAY! I called 1800 UPS , spoke to someone outside of U.S. again, and was told they would make sure Chantilly center would call me tomorrow, Saturday, to tell me wether they were going to be able to deliver package on Saturday. Let's see if I can get a refund. A 2 day ground turned into a 4 day headache. So disappointed!! And ticked off! I used UPS with the thought they would be better than the postal service, WRONG! I will never use them again. FEDEX, or USPS here I come. read more

This is the worst facility to deal with. Called the customer service number they told me to come pick up my package at this location. Only to get there and they are closed and will not be open until Monday. Don't sign up and pay for choice membership. UPS states no guarantee of services promised! SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. Possible Fraud by them going into my choice account and changing my request I was expecting 2 packages of wedding cards from overseas and given that I was going to be on vacation, I signed up for a trial of their choice program that allows for a vacation hold as well as re-delivery. One of the boxes was re-delivered to Florida and the 2 hour window that choice provides worked (except I notice UPS no longer rings the doorbell or knock to at least let you know your package was delivered. So mine sat outside in 97 degree weather until I received an e mail it had been delivered. But at least the process worked. For the second delivery I put a vacation hold so I would not have missed attempts. Then I requested a 2 hour window which was confirmed. After an hour missed deadline I went through live chat and found out that the 2 hour window, a service for which I paid to become choice is not a guarantee! UPS should state this upfront and provide a refund or credit when it misses. They also never bothered to send me an e mail or text (both were provided). I have noted the transcript of my conversation (oh even though delivery is in the US, they put you to an international desk which meant more wait time). I just received a call from Chantilly VA. The package had not even been pulled for delivery today!!!! They called back the PM driver and now I will receive before 9 PM tonight. So had I not checked, there would never have been a package delivered regardless what the reps below stated (that they checked and I would get it) The SAGA continues!!! As of last night 11:30 PM. NO package despite a UPS dispatch person at 703-263-7501 telling me it would be delivered. This morning I call UPS and give them the details and Nel at 1-800-782-7892 tells me that I should hear at 10:00 am I will get the package delivered! Can any vendor be worse than UPS? DO NOT BUT CHOICE. SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!! The Saga continues. Its after 10:00 AM and I call back. Now I find out that UPS went into my account and changed my delivery (to cover themselves)..this looks like fraud "The receiver requested this package to be held for pickup at the UPS facility". Now again they are promising to send the package out today. They don't know when. Pretty poor service UPS. Initial Question: My package has not been delivered in my 2 hour window J. Ramon D.: Hi, this is J. Ramon D.. I'll be happy to assist you. richard: XXXXXXXX (I listed my tracking number) I had a 1:45-3:45 2 hour window delivery today. Where is my package please? richard: I am a choice customer J. Ramon D.: I'm sorry if you did not receive your package yet. I specialize in US domestic shipments. In order to get the right help, I need to connect you with a representative who can track your international package. Can I connect you now? richard: yes please J. Ramon D.: For your convenience, the new representative will be able to see our transcript. This way you don't have to repeat yourself. J. Ramon D. has disconnected. Renz Mica P.: Hi, this is Renz Mica P.. I'll be happy to assist you. richard: I had a vacation hold and the package is in the area but not delived Renz Mica P.: Let me go ahead further check the status of your shipment. Please bear with me while I am checking. Renz Mica P.: Upon checking the status of your request for hold for future delivery has been completed and package is scheduled to be delivered today however you can only request one at a time. Your package will be delivered today by end of the day. richard: I received a confirmation for a 2 hour block richard: so I dont understand whay I pay for choice if it doesnt follow up with what was promised richard: i only have 1 package Renz Mica P.: Please bear with me. richard: i also gave my e mail and cell number but received no follow-up richard: Are u checking? Renz Mica P.: Upon checking there is a window time for this shipment however that is not guaranteed depending on the route of the driver and volume of packages that they need to be delivered. Renz Mica P.: In this case I can send a message to the Center to check the update of your shipment. richard: So I was correct but there is no guarantee even though I pay for choice which is supposed to provide this service? Renz Mica P.: May I please have your contact number? richard: XXXXXXX (I listed my cell number). I will be following up with a complaint. richard: There have been 3-4 UPS deliveries in my development since this morning Renz Mica P.: I am sorry I will include your complaint with your shipment. Renz Mica P.: One moment please. Renz Mica P.: I have sent a message. Renz Mica P.: Please wait for the callback within an hour. Is there anything else I can help you with? richard: OK anything else except hope for a call? richard: No thank you Renz Mica P.: You're welcome. Have a great day. Bye now. Worst customer service around, I mean I'm sure there not around to us happen. I hate ups

How can I give negative stars!! Austin- you're the location manager as you stated? Thanks for hangin up on me! The good thing is that the calls get recorded! Oh and thanks for refusing to connect me to a manager. I hope your days there are numbered!! With the great customer service you provide I'm sure you WILL be fired soon!! They dropped the ball - clearly no one seems to pay attention to detail. They continued to deliver my package to my home although I requested to have it delivered to my local UPS store. And every excuse under the sun not to take responsibility. My package is still in limbo. And I'm still not getting the service I paid for which is 3 days delivery- we are going on 7 days. Still waiting for a call back from someone. I am so surprised this location is still open- or that someone hasn't gone postal on them for such poor service. I'm sick and tired of having to go through this with this location! Mr. Abney and the rest of the board of directors will hear and see this! ‍ read more

Walked in with a package for drop-off, and two ladies who were standing behind the counter without looking at my item said, "that's USPS we don't accept that here"... I told them that the return label clearly says UPS, and they still did not believe it. The lady that walked in with me looked at the label and confirmed that it was indeed a UPS label. She took my package and gave me a receipt. The two ladies never even apologized. Poor attitudes and terrible customer service. read more

I have had 5 different packages over the last 12 months delivered to a neighbor in my apartment complex. I live in building 132 and he lives in building 144 so as you can imagine it is a slight distance between buildings. The first time I blamed Covid. The second time I thought it was odd and maybe more than just 'the right person to have handled this is out due to Covid'. The third time I: called customer service-was told that my package was delivered ( never mind the wrong address), went to the store-was told they are a subcontractor to UPS and have nothing to actually do with deliveries, went to the customer service center-was told they couldn't fix it, but they at least gave me a number to call, called said number and was told that the issue was the tag printed by UPS to help the drivers handle things ( I had already figured this out by actually reading the two different labels on my boxes) and that it would be fixed. The fourth package was still delivered to the wrong address so I called again and informed the individual again that this was happening and that this was my second time calling and that I had called a week before the fourth package was even shipped. The fifth package was just sent again to the wrong address and again I called to be told this is a simple fix and just a clerical error. I have always liked UPS and preferred to ship through them than anyone else, but there simple fixes and clerical errors have made it clear they do not care about their customers. read more

I had someone else's pkg for 2 days. Had to make 5 phone calls (someone from the local dispatch will call, yadda yadda). The local offc finally calls and doesn't bother to leave a message. Had to make yet another call! The you call the 800 742 5877 and the only way to get a live person is to say buy supplies. They'll pick up for that! I set up a my choice acct to make sure pkg are left at my door and not the mailroom (which is only open when I'm working!). About 50% of the time the pkgs go to the mailroom. Attention to detail is sorely lacking read more

I'm grateful to UPS but am concerned about warehouse workers who sort and load trucks. They are not required to wear a mask it is only recommended and they must bring their own. There is limited social distancing. UPS is an essential business. Please keep the workers and community safe. read more

I had a delivery window from 12:30-4:30 on Monday, then it was delayed to Tuesday, then I received an out for delivery notice today (Wednesday) and now it was pushed until tomorrow. I'm guessing they lost it. The package was sent from Baltimore to Ashburn on 11/23 using 2nd day Air Mail. It's been 7 days and I'm still not confident. It's been sitting in Chantilly for 5 days and I can't get a clear answer on where it is and when it will arrive. Terrible service, I will avoid having time sensitive packages sent via UPS ever again. read more

Paid extra for my package to arrive today and because the people here put the wrong information into the "hub" my package will not be delivered today.. it'll be here Monday possibly Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. I hate UPS unreliable asses.. if i could give 0 stars i would read more

The UPS hub in Chantilly in not dependable and seems to have difficulty with delivering packages. Up until about two years ago, our service was very reliable. Since then, I have had undelivered packages sitting in the Chantilly warehouse for several days. I have had packages delivered to other homes...outside my neighborhood which were kindly redelivered to me by their recipient. I have seen the descriptions of my scans changed, dates of delivery changed...and I can no longer believe the tracking information they provide. I suspect these records can be easily manipulated and do not always indicate actual activity. I have contacted their Corporate Customer Service number and promised a call back...never received a call! I request all companies I purchase from, not to ship UPS and if this is your hub, I suggest you do the same. read more

One star! I had to get my package sent to the customer center because no one was home for to sign and I knew I wasn't going to be home for the second drop off. The customer center called me saying "please make sure to be here at 8 you have a 45 min window since we close at 8:45." One didn't tell me what ups he was callin from so thank god I asked. When I got there I was not impressed staff was sitting on the conveyer belt and I drove from manassas to chantilly to get my package told me that the driver was going to be back after we close..... so I have to come back ONLY IN THE MORNING I have a job .... can't do that then the girl in the back told me I can come back whenever because they hold it for 5 days .. get your info straight ... ill make sure to call to see if they have my package before I drive all the way out there! read more

They suck. I had a package sent to a relative. Unfortunately relative wasn't there (on vacation) during the three delivery attempts. Shouldn't be a problem, because they are supposed to hold the package for 5 days after the last attempt. Relative was home on day of last attempt. Tried to go to UPS to retrieve package. They didn't wait five days to return to sender. Spent two hours with them on the phone... to not fix the problem. They wouldn't redirect the package and it looks like I am going to have to pay the vendor another $50 to ship the item once he gets it back. Thanks for nothing. UPS is making USPS look brilliant by comparison. read more

If i can leave 0 stars i so would. I have no clue how thesr employees at this ups center still have a job with those rudeness and horrible customer service. Can I give 0 star? The worst delivery crew ... unable to deliver package because they cannot see my house? Really? I've been down to the center to verify my new construction home. Ordered as a Christmas gift. When tracking order (I could not lift this gift, it had to be delivered to the house) the delivery date was changed to AN EARLIER DATE, the only day my husband was home. Spent three hours on the phone with UPS. I was assured up and down that the delivery would occur at the neighbor's house, in our shared drive. Delivery did occur to the neighbor, only half of the item. The second half was delivered into my husband's hands. I can't honestly process how big of an idiot the driver had to be, to split the package between two houses. This is the biggest gift I have ever purchased for him. Thanks for wrecking a surprise that I was so excited about. We were supposed to FaceTime Christmas morning with the other family members who contributed to the cost of the gift, so that everyone could see him open it. Yeah, UPS pretty much ruined that for us. Thanks for the huge disappointment. read more

Chantilly UPS is horrible...I have been waiting since Wednesday for a package to be delivered from them and it is now Monday and still NOTHING. I have called UPS 3 times about this issue today and all they can tell me is that the package is on the truck for delivery. It has been on the trust for delivery for 3 days now and sat in their distribution center for 36 hours before the first time. read more

I had an issue with half my delivery on a Friday being delivered, one box was mistakenly marked to not be delivered and was in one of the back tailors. They refused to deliver a package to my address claiming a unit number was missing when it was clearly not and made me drive 40 minutes away to get my package which was a major hassle I am going to avoid getting things shipped through UPS because of this because this is just ridiculous if I could rate less then this I would happily do so read more

Worst customer service. People answering the phone are rude and dismissive. Call today to ask at what time will the delivery driver will arrive because my package needed a signature, supposedly they confirm with the driver that the package will be delivered after 4PM so my wife didn't need to be there all day waiting. She went to the store to pick up something and when she came back the driver when to attempted the delivery at NOON without any notice. We call back and the same person pick up the phone saying that the driver can't go back and we will have to go to the store and pick up there or wait for tomorrow for a second attempt. I guess they don't understand that people actually choose to get there things delivered because they are busy and can't wait the whole day for the driver to show up whenever they seem appropriate. All we ask was for a 2 hour window so we can make sure someone is at the house to receive the package. read more

I wish I could leave "0" stars. UPS is a joke. You pay for Prime membership with Amazon and not only do you not receive packages in the 2-day window, UPS has no idea when it will be delivered. I contact Amazon and they offer me $5. Seriously? This was a gift for my son's birthday. And UPS, they are deceitful. It says the item was scanned in at the facility 10 miles from my house on 12/9 at 11:30 AM. It then gets updated saying a delay due to external factors. I'm guessing that means weather. Funny enough, UPS delivered packages to my neighbors. On 12/10, they update with "late trailer" status. When I ask about the scan, they say it's logistical and doesn't mean it actually arrived in Chantilly on 12/9. Deceitful practice. Apparently the item is still on a truck, waiting to be sorted. Once that is complete they can estimate delivery date. However, it "arrived" yesterday at 7:30 AM and here we are 24 hours later and it's still on the truck. They have no idea when it will arrive and based on customer service, could care less. I will never buy from a company that uses UPS for deliver, including Amazon. After all the deliveries made to my house in South Riding, I thought I would give UPS one more shot, but I was wrong in doing so. These drivers never ring the doorbell, knock, or anything to alert you of a package being delivered. They just leave it in the driveway, regardless of the weather. Between that and this recent experience, I am done with UPS. Hopefully my post helps others avoid any issues by encouraging them to use USPS and FedEx this holiday season. read more

Nightmare deliveries. UPS has lost their shine. Compared to Fedex and even USPS, UPS is a dog. Unbelievable. I spent all day waiting for a package that left for deliver at 5:40am, the distribution center is 10 miles away from my house. I am going on 3 week travel, critical delivery. at 7pm they just changed deliver from Friday to next Tuesday. package was on the truck all day. Sad, will never use UPS for anything. If you say delivery is happening, please deliver. I took the day off due to requiring a signature. Ruined my day. Called 800 number, they could not help me. They don't know where the package is now. Can't call locally, got totally screwed. They just said wait for Tuesday, won't matter anymore. read more

Never using UPS again. Never. Package originally delayed to weather, understandable since we had a big snow storm. Package goes out a few days later on truck. Package returns to the service center because of an "Emergency Scan." I call UPS to figure out what this "Emergency" is, given that its not snowing, roads are plowed. I ask to just pick the package up at this service center. UPS lady says service center will call within the hour to schedule the pick-up details for me. Of course, they never called. So, I called the UPS 800 number back, only to be disconnected because of the high call volume. I try for about 45 minutes and then realize they're never going to call. The next morning, I log in to the tracking system, only to find out that UPS says they DID call to arrange a pick up. Given that I gave them two contact numbers, neither one had a missed call or a voicemail; I think it is reasonable to assume they never called. Also, on the tracking, they retroactively changed the delay due to "Adverse weather conditions." Mr. UPS Man, if I can drive (hell--even walk) the WHOLE ENTIRE 6-miles from my house to your service station, chances are you can too; especially when all of the roads are clear. When I call back, the agent tells me that the service center had called and left a message including a pickup time from last night. And now today, Saturday, the service center is closed. Well isn't that just amazing? I told the agent that I will NEVER be using UPS again for time-critical information and her response was, "UPS is the #1 shipper in the world." I politely said "Not if they keep unnecessarily delaying packages, that I was willing to pick-up my own self." read more

If I could select zero stars I would. I had a package get rerouted for no reason to an unknown address and I decided it was easier for me to pick up my package today. Because of previous bad experiences with UPS, for the past year I have been boycotting business that use them to ship packages. Recently, I found something online that I wanted to buy. They shipped UPS. I went against my own rule and ordered the item. UPS attempted delivery when I wasn't home. I went online to request it be held for pickup. They called and said it would be ready for pickup at 7:30. Arrive at the service center at 7:30. Waited over an hour for package; they couldn't find it. Left without said package. No more UPS for me! For those who are interested, my previous bad experiences stem from UPS updating tracking information for packages, saying that they attempted delivery and no one answered the door. This happened twice. Going by the times listed on the tracking history, I was home during the supposed attempts. However, no one had knocked on my door during those times. LIARS! read more

The worst customer service. After the final notice, I was told the package would be there for 5 days. So, I went to the service center a total of 3 times to pick up a package that required a signature. First day, they didnt have it because it was back on the truck. Then I recieved another notice on my door, I immediatly went to the Service center and it was still on the truck, and they didnt know when he would be back. Finally, I went again the next morning because they said they would hold it at the location and it STILL wasnt there and they didnt even know where the package was!!!! unbelievable! seriously. read more

I had packages being shipped to my work, which is closed for an extended period over the holidays, so I had to arrange for them to be picked up from this location. Unfortunately, the packages were out for delivery on the truck so I had to call UPS and arrange a pick-up time. I saw online that the packages were ready for pick-up and I drove all the way out to UPS to be told they were still on the truck that would not be returning until around 5-7 PM. The customer service counter was scheduled to close at 5? How was I to pick up my packages?
