I came here to drop off an Amazon return item. As soon as I walked in, it was a quick, seamless process. I handed over the item and the associate packaged it and labeled it. The employees weren't necessarily overly friendly, but enough to the point where they greeted me, assisted, and said to have a great day, which is really enough. There wasn't a wait when I came in on a Sunday afternoon. I've been here on other days at different times as well. Now that I know about this location, I will continue to drop off packages here to avoid the crowded locations. read more

This place has one of the most unhappiest employees working here. I do not know her name, but she is of Indian ethnicity. Every time I have gone here to return some thing, she has given me a hard time, her attitude and customer service skills are absolutely abysmal, and it just really looks like she is unhappy to be there. Maybe that is her natural persona, I don't know, but she is definitely not an asset to this store. I've had to encounter her multiple times before I felt the need to write this review. No "who's next, how are you, how can I help you?" -Scan your package -Hand you receipt I guess it's a benefit for some but it seems pretty awkward. I do not want to give a low rating but one employee there just stands out like a sore thumb. The employee is Caucasian skin color, over weight, dark hair, has a fully grown short dark beard. He is about 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10. Unprofessional, rude, and always acting like he owns the place, acting like a douche bag. Not really sure why he is still working here. Maybe he is the son of the owner. So be careful when you have to deal with this guy. Every other employees are very friendly and approachable. read more

The team here at this UPS store is amazing, I've been coming to this UPS store for years now and they have very quick and efficient service. Recently though, the team truly went above and beyond. I had dropped off a package and then realized I had gotten scammed. So I came back to the store an hour later and told them I had gotten scammed. Ruby and Susan quickly jumped into action and even though the packages were in the middle of getting picked up by UPS, they both started looking for the package. The UPS Store is convenient way to return some Amazon items and or just ship other packages. However, the main complaint is that too few customer service reps are present to assist customers and the lines are usually long and out the door. read more

I have used this location dozens of times before, but this morning I was refused service as the Amazon return that was approved for "free package-less drop off" was not accepted. I was given the reason as "my manager will not let me accept any item that is larger than 16" long and that does not fit into a certain sized plastic bag". I have never been refused service at this UPS location for this reason ever before. I am floored by this new size rule that the management is implementing. I have sent many larger package-less items back to Amazon with this particular UPS location and this is the first time I was turned away. (My package dimensions are 22" long, 10" wide, and 5" high) read more

"PLEASE NOTE... IT IS MINUS 10 STARS NOT ONE STAR " We love to support local businesses but UPS Store #5431 " South Riding" don't deserve that. Submitting an online print order, paid, got a confirmation and completion and ready for pickup next day. At the time of pickup, and after waiting for the employee to bring my order, he came back saying the order is not completed and I need to come back NOT the Next Day BUT THE DAY AFTER because the next day the store will be close. Asking him, the order supposed to be completed and it should be somewhere in the store, he was Rude and told me the '' PRINTING SPECIALIST" is not available! "I AM NOT ASKING FOR A HEART SURGERY " I told hime to cancel the order and issue a refund, his answer was I can't do it and you have to do it online! Asking for a Manager, another Rude employee came and didn't help . When I ask them is it a lie when it said completed and it is not, he said yes it is a LIE. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience. We showed up before the store opened to ensure a timely transaction; however, the opening employee didn't show up with the keys until 10 minutes after the scheduled opening. The employee walked up with no urgency, no apology, and no explanation. To add to the frustration, I had an Amazon return for two items authorized to be dropped off at this location under one QR code, but UPS told me they wouldn't accept them together. I had to cancel the return with Amazon, then request two separate return requests. Third, one of the items I returned at UPS never showed up as being returned, and I reported it to Amazon. I tried reaching out to the manager to provide feedback before leaving a review but never heard back. Having three problems in a short visit is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. read more

I shipped an expensive ($1k+) glass item at this store back on October 1, 2021. I paid for the UPS store to pack securely and also ship the item (with insurance). This store did an amazing job packaging and taking care of the outbound shipment. Unfortunately, the package was damaged while out on delivery 250 miles from home. (So it made it that far in good shape.) Once the package was damaged it never returned home. It took the past 8 weeks to work with the store and try to navigate the UPS claims process. Very frustrating. In the end, the owner of store (once made aware) resolved the issue within a week. I recommend this store. I also encourage anyone with an insurance claim to take an active role (with appropriate patience) in getting resolution. read more

I recently submitted an on-line print order, paid for it and received confirmation to pick it up at 6 pm that evening. I arrived at 7 pm and found 3 employees working. I was told that my order was "not done" and would not be done until the next day, which as the day I needed it for work. When asked why it had not been completed I was told that "Susan" said she didn't get to it. I was also told that Susan was the only employee authorized to access the store's email address and to handle print jobs. I asked for a refund and was told that only Susan could handle that. The employee was flippant and surly. It was apparent that the employees have not been properly trained, a disservice to both them and customers. It was frustrating as I needed the documents for an important work meeting. I left my name and number for Susan to contact me. When I left, one of the employees sarcastically said "I just LOVE South Riding". Rude and unnecessary. A week has passed and I have not heard from anyone from the store. I have called twice to speak with Susan - both times, I was told that she was not there/unavailable. Today, I called the corporate UPS Store customer service line to request the refund. Hopefully, this will be resolved soon. It is disappointing because I like to support local businesses but moving forward I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Why does this UPS Store advertise they offer notary services with the ability to make an appointment even! (how convenient right?!) HAHA this is false advertising at its best! After having to take off of work to accommodate their so called "notary hours" I showed up at the store for my notary appointment only to be told "We don't have a notary on staff" and that I should "try another location" the manager SUSAN WAS A NIGHTMARE!! So long story short save yourself the trouble NEVER use this location for a notary appointment. UPDATE in response: When you say my transaction "would have been simple as that" what exactly do you mean? Simple as what? Makes no sense. The store advertises you do notaries, I'm saying that's false information because everytime I come here my appointment isn't honored, or you don't have a notary for a "walk-in". If this store offers notaries, when do you offer them? I understand "The UPS Stores" may be an upstanding franchise, this is why I'm here wondering how I get a notary done at this store, that advertises notaries, but doesn't offer them anytime I come in. What guidelines do you have to follow? You make statements but don't back it up with what you mean by it. I'm not judging you on a notary transaction, no transaction took place, I'm judging based on the advertisements saying you do notaries, but I've never been able to get one done here. That each and every visist you strive to make top quality... hasn't been that, it's been a "sorry we don't have a notary, even though you made an appointment" This isn't "top quality service" this is called " no service and a waste of my time." I would like to get my notaries done here, I will change my mind and visit you when someone can tell me you offer what you advertise. When can I come for a notary? Also, I would recommend a grammar check before responding. Ask for Andrew! Amazing, quick customer service!! I brought in 3 separate needs (packing one box, an Amazon Amazon QR code return, and a drop-off.) Not only did he quickly work thru my items. But, also, politely addressed new incoming customers, taking their simpler, ready to go packages so they didn't have to wait on my more complicated deal. I rarely see multi-tasking handled so proficiently. Such a nice young man! (Reminded me of the work ethic i admired in my husband when we first met.) Ps. Awful service. They took my money ($140 to ship an intl pkg) was supposed to arrive in 5 days. Well they said they would send me a tracking number for the pkg within the day. They outsourced it to usps. Pkg was lost, never received a tracking number. The ups store says usps is responsible, usps says they cant help without a tracking number that ups generates from their store! Its a big mess and no one taking responsibility. I cant ever reach the manager or owner of ups store (they are never there). Associates not authorized to give me refund, they keep saying they will contact owner etc... Its been almost a month now!!! I have never received anything other than friendly, courteous service in this store. Their hours make it easy to get errands taken care of after work or on Saturdays. I have shipped items several times, had a shipment of wine from France delivered here without extra charge (I had to ship to a business location), dropped off UPS prepaid shipping, had paperwork notarized and stopped in for packing supplies. Personally I am thankful to have this location close to home, saving me the inconvenience of driving to the post office and waiting in what are usually long lines especially during the holidays. My only gripe is they no longer sell packing supplies, but I am guessing it's because the store is quite small. My husband stopped by the other night on his way home from work to purchase a roll of bubble wrap only to find they no longer sell it. However, the associate working that night gave him a few sheets so we were able to get our package ready to ship. I don't understand the complaints about rude employees as I have never, in my many visits to this store, encountered anything other than friendly, accommodating service! read more

Somehow lost a usps dropoff package at this location. Went in and the girl there offered to tape my package and hold for usps. My package arrived to the destination taped up but EMPTY. Have to admit it seems too coincidental to have happened later in transit, but not impossible. End result is that someone lost or stole 8yo daughters iPod she was selling on eBay. Update- spoke with the store owner directly and they were very professional. Immediate followup and assistance. Didn't get the iPod but they paid me back for it. Changing review to 5 stars up from one for that alone. Sometimes things like this happen. Fixing the problem, as they are trying to do, is what makes a good store. read more

I've never been in a store with the kind of customer service, knowledge of everything that goes on or just all around awesomeness that I have in here! I go in there about once a week and they know me well now. So when I go in they are so sweet and cordial with me. They ask me how I am etc and know exactly what I need and how to do it. Every time I ship from this store everyone is always very helpful and pleasant. Even in the Christmas rush the store was packed but there was plenty of cheerful staffer to assist. I always thought highly of the UPS store, however this specific one had several mistakes with me 1- quoting a price in error 2- Not scanning one of the shipment I had. I had to go back so they can update my receipt with a new tracking number, everyone makes mistakes but the customer expects an admission or an apology or something to make him/her feel comfortable dealing with this business. Small and busy store, the owner needs to think outside the box. Attitudes towards the customer, please no one doing business with you deserves an attitude, at times I received negative attitude at the start. We probably go to the ups store in south riding one or twice a week. They are very friendly , courteous, polite and knowledgeable. They are taking covid very seriously and take all the proper procedures while completing all transactions in a timely manner. Will not go anywhere else read more
