Get your fingerprints done at another location.  Fingerprinting is a necessary step before your job, but you do have choices, choose to not come to Hanmi Post. Try the FieldPrint Sterling* location. The tech is put-off every step of the way.   She lacks the skillset to guide and assist in obtaining good prints, but rather replaces that with repeated scolding and annoyance.   The equipment is unable to capture images accurately and efficiently and require multiple, multiple takes to render useable image. Be prepared to be frustrated. The manager is unprofessional with a mercurial temper, shouting insults in attempts to gas light individuals that objects to being treated in his bizarrely volatile fashion.  He problem solves by pointing fingers and belligerently belittling the very people that he is contracted to serve.   The outfit takes advantage of the fact that the people receiving their service are not the party that pays them.  They abuse their privileges to serve a clientele who is about to enter government work force.   This is a text book case of bad business practices.  They openly flaunt the fact that there is a layer of bad performance insulation between stake holders as a 2nd tier sub-contractor of the US government.   This is a text book case of how reduced direct accountability can go wrong in small insular operations. Report their misconduct to your case officer, HR and FieldPrint through the FP phone tree. *After nightmare experience here I went to the Sterling FieldPrint location and all I can say is I was blown away! The owner/tech was professional, knowledgeable and hands-on in obtaining good prints. Got in and out in under 10 min and smiled all the way home. read more

Fingerprinting: Come on time for your appointment, but not too early. I had a colleague who came 30 mins early and couldn't get fingerprints done til her appointment time. The next day, I came in with a group of 4. My two colleagues had to wait until their appointment time, 10 mins apart. The lady knew we had 2 colleagues waiting and didn't let us know that she would come back for them. It would've been courteous to let us know. This is terrible! They're sitting and talking to each other and when I asked if they can take care of us now, they said it's not their appointment time. What. The. Heck? I remembered when I went to a different location about 2 years ago, they just took care of me, even though I was 15 mins early. So it just depends on each location and their preferences. I should've looked at Yelp reviews before booking my appointment here. It sounds like fingerprinting is not their forte. Hanmi's main business is international shipping - If you are shipping to Korea or China, this is the service you want to use as they can load your packages to Korean Air which departs everyday from Dulles, and it will only take 3-5 days at a reasonable price. It's faster and cheaper than USPS, DHL, etc. read more

Was sent here to get my finger prints done for work. I came a few minutes early, signed in and took a seat. I waited 15 minutes before anyone even said anything to me and it was only because another customer walked in. Not only was this customer late for their appointment, which already passed and now is running past my time, but the person working took her in front of me even after I'd been waiting 20+ minutes and she walked in the door late to her time. Very unimpressed by the service and will schedule fingerprints elsewhere for future needs. read more

Terrible customer service for fingerprints. Signage before you walk in the door is very unfriendly. The man who was supposed to take my fingerprints was rude and very unprofessional. Went back the next day and they would not even come to door which us locked due to Covid?I had to call and talk to them in the phone... still no service provided. read more

My husband and I are adopting internationally and really needed our fingerprints done quickly because we had a date for picking up our child. Guess what? The employee was very late for our appointment and then the place LOST my fingerprints and never told me!! I had to go elsewhere to get refingerprinted! Do NOT go to this place. read more

Stay away from this place to get fingerprints. I showed up on time and the guy starts ordering me around. I told him he did not have to be so rude and he should treat customers better and he went ballistic! He even said he wasn't going to do my prints even though I had already paid online. The man that worked here was horribly unprofessional and acted as though he was sick of his job. This is a business, you need to act more professionally if you want to keep your customers. It is clear that this is not uncommon behavior as you can see multiple have commented the exact same thing. Avoid this place and find somewhere that will treat you more respectfully. read more

I was sent by a employer to be finger printed, when you walk in, no one recognize your presence, I stood there for then minutes,, No one explain the process to you , they pointed to a sign posted out front for me to read, and when I finally express my dissatisfaction they told me, you can cancel and go some where else. And threatened to tell the emloyer, as I was not his customer, and I was a applicant who was there to go through a process. Please go to another location, if you do not want want to be disrespected! Not good... The shipping quote I received from them double once it became too late for me to back out. They don't accept credit cards, And once I paid them they stopped responding to my emails and stopped answering calls. I'm still trying to get my shipment almost a month later. $30 for a package to China!!! These guy know what they are doing. I had package to send to several countries in asia as i am selling online. China, Philippine, taiwan, Korea and India. HANMIPOST doesnt use Fedex or DHL which cost 100s. They actually do deliver using their own shipping logistic system. How cool is that. Just like Small version of DHL only better in price.
