In 1990, Best Messenger brought quailty service to a business sector in which it had apparently not yet been tried. Before, courier companies provided 'take it or leave it' service, and dissatisfied customers endured poor service with little recourse.
Best Messenger began with a simple, yet unique strategy of concentrating clients in and near the Washington DC business community, including Northern Virginia and Maryland. This was in direct contrast to the rest of the industry, which worked to build widely scattered client bases, in order to decrease 'deadhead' trips.
By focusing on the DC business community and surrounding areas, Best Messenger ensured that couriers would always be nearby, even during rush hour. Meet the Manager: Martin S.
Martin Smith was the last full-time motorcycle courier in the Washington DC metro area. He now works in the office.
He and Cory Floyd were the fastest, most efficient motorcycle couriers in the 1990's and 2000's. Cory now manages and dispatches in the same office.
