I needed something picked up in a jiffy from Silver Spring and delivered to me in DC. Even without traffic, that roundtrip could easily have taken me close to two hours, so it was such a time saver to use Best Messenger. They're super easy to book online, provide instructions, pick-up info, time etc but if you'd prefer to chat with someone on the phone, they're accessible and bookable that way as well. While I'm not sure what would be considered competitive pricing, I was fine spending $30 on an immediate delivery so that I could avoid traffic and secure my package in time. I emailed the customer service rep. in the middle of the night about a simple pick-up and drop-off of a money order. He promptly responded at 7/8AM with a quote.
