Been here so many times and I guess I had not wrote up on them yet! Usually there is a big spaced out line outside the door and a ways out. But last Saturday line was only 2 people ahead of us. I took my brother and his wife here for the 1st time before my daughter and I drove them to San Diego. What a great start to the day! I got a freshly made maple Donut, was still hot and fresh. Ate it so quick and just melted in my mouth! I also had a rich, and thick chocolate milk. I enjoyed my stuff so much that I can't even remember what everyone else ordered. Lol. My weakness...donut bars with a thick layer of chocolate glaze that drips over the side... some shops worry this may look messy but I'm always looking for this extra sweet chocolate and not the thin barely-there layers of chocolate. This place is such an upland staple. Any school or work event always involved a box of Upland donuts. The delicious taste combined with the great prices makes this place incomparable to any chain donut place. My favorite is the classic glazed donut, their recipe is perfected as they always come out light and fluffy. Their cake donuts are perfectly balanced between a crispy outside and a soft inside. How could my husband and I have been living here for 2 years and barely tried Upland Donuts?! We have been looking for a good local donut spot and I told him I'm not doing Krispy Kreme anymore, so I checked the Upland Eats page and Yelp and came across Upland Donuts. We stopped by this past Saturday morning and went around 11am. Most of the options were gone for the day since they do close at noon, but they were still baking fresh donuts and I was able to get a long maple donut and my husband got a chocolate donut. Both were so warm and fresh and tasted delicious. We also got a couple cream puffs and an additional donut my husband wanted. The inside is small, so it's more grab and go. They also sell beverages and have coffee creamers and sugars for you to add to your liking. This location is cash only, so make sure you have cash with you just in case. We didn't realize until we were about to pay. Staff was super friendly and gave suggestions. We cannot wait to come back again, hopefully earlier in the morning to try more options. read more
