I feel so bad. My mom wanted to surprise us at a family gathering with a cake and cupcakes and for just 12 cupcakes and a very small two tier cake each tier a different flavor and simple white frosting. "Congratulations Graduate". It was supposed to read "graduates", plurarl. No extra details. Nothing. $240!!!!!! Freaking asinine. It was a surprise, or had I known I would have stopped her from using this bakery / scam center. And the worst part? It tasted so mid. There was nothing special about the taste or texture. Came here before work to get a iced latte I should've also got a doughnut because they looked really good. I asked the man what he preferred between an Horchata latte and a Spanish latte and he said the Spanish latte is better so I went with that one based off the color it looked a little light, but once I tasted it, you can really taste the coffee, which was surprising. Definitely wanna go back to try their donuts but this reading is just based off their latte pretty good 8/10 I did go right when they opened so I did not have to wait long. I added Cake Among Us to my list of places to try after someone showed me one of the donuts they brought to work. I do not remember the exact donut, but it looked visually appealing and mouthwatering. I made it a mission to stop by immediately after work that same day. I went after school around 3 pm and was immediately greeted by a worker. I was surprised to see the shop empty... it was just the worker and me! I explained that it was my first time, and they kindly walked me through all the different options. There were so many to choose from that it was actually difficult to narrow down my picks. They all looked so yummy! In the end, I walked out with a Nutella donut and a Fruity Pebbles donut. I usually find that bakeries and donut shops selling these types of specialty donuts tend to upcharge or be fairly expensive. However, the donuts here were reasonably priced! Both donuts were extremely flavorful and memorable. I will definitely be back again soon! read more

The service here is amazing. I couldn't believe they remembered my coffee order from a week ago! The Cronut, which is a croissant/ donut. Um DELICIOUS! First of all, I almost never write reviews -- but after my experience at Cake Among Us, I feel absolutely compelled to speak up. I was genuinely excited to try this place for the first time. Their reviews looked amazing, and the fact that they make vegan cakes seemed perfect. I even stopped by the shop beforehand to try a vegan donut just to get a sense of their quality, and honestly, it was pretty good. So I went ahead and placed my cake order online exactly as the staff instructed. They called to confirm the details and to take the $100 payment for the custom cake -- which I was totally fine with if the cake turned out the way it was supposed to. But when I arrived to pick it up, I was shocked: the cake was the wrong color. I double-checked my confirmation email and the form I filled out, and yes, I had very clearly listed my preferred colors. I called immediately to let them know about the mistake. They told me to email a photo, which I did -- and then they proceeded to blame me for not mentioning the colors over the phone, even though the information was already written in their form, which they had right in front of them. And it gets worse: not only was the cake the wrong color, it was literally leaning over by the time I went to cut it. A $100 custom cake that looked like it was collapsing. And what did they do to make it right? Nothing. No apology, no solution -- just more blame tossed back at me for their own oversight. So here's my honest advice: go somewhere else for your cake. Their customer service desperately needs improvement, and if you do decide to risk it with this place, make sure you repeat every single detail multiple times, because apparently writing it clearly on their own form isn't enough -- and they'll still blame you for their mistakes. read more

First time here was for a jumbo donut for a birthday. I was able to easily order and pay through the phone. Had the option of choosing the icing color and personalized message. Such a fun alternative to a cake. The donut itself was very tasty! In bakery, they have drinks, breakfast sandwiches, and delicious looking donut flavors (some vegan), and other pastries like cupcakes and cake pops. Service was kind and to the point. The bakery itself doesn't have a seating area to hang out, more so just to walk up and order. read more

Have only come here for donuts and that is reason enough to come here and try it. Some of the best donuts I had had around here, huge selection including vegan donuts. The shop is small but big on flavor, I have loved trying a variety of donuts from their blueberry to their Oreo donut. Super tasty? Will be coming back! read more

Just now leaving this review but this happened in May of 2025. I came in looking to get pricing for a large cake for a party. The young chubby lady inside seemed completely disinterested in helping or answering any questions and wasn't interested in hearing about my design or providing flavors or any other options. I asked about setting up a sample tasting (was willing to pay) and was told to buy cupcakes to taste them. There were like 5 old looking cupcakes in the display and none were the flavor we wanted. I walked out and they missed out on a huge sale because we were looking to spend up to 1k for a special birthday party. Also, it was really hot and musty inside and the display was really sad looking. Major turn off. It's a shame because I used to buy donuts from here every Friday for my employees. After this, I haven't been back. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I tried this bakery for the first time thanks to Too Good To Go-- LOVE that they have this no-waste approach to their food (and that it increases access to their offerings as well), and the donuts themselves are delicious! The dozen I got stayed moist and in great condition for the two days I had them out, and were a hit with my family. They're now one of my family's favorite donut shops. read more

Beware when using another platform to order- my kids were so excited to get two boxes for teacher appreciation day tomorrow but upon arrival - I was told my order was cancelled. I checked, my app alerts were turned on, yet I received zero notifications. Wasted my gas and time driving through the rain to be told I was welcomed to purchase some end of day donuts, wtf?! I ordered a custom cake for my Christmas gender reveal and it was so beautiful! The cake was delicious as well and all of my guests loved it. Everything about the cake was beautiful and yummy. You do have to order custom cakes 2 weeks in advance so keep that in mind but it's totally worth it. read more

The Doughnuts are very tasty most importantly! The presentation of the doughnuts are very creative and colorful! I come here a few times a months to get my favorite vegan vanilla glazed (the best) donut with a cup of Joe! They also offer cakes cake pops and cupcakes. Definitely recommend trying them out. The service is always warm and welcoming. They offer a point system so I'm always getting a few dollars off which I love ! Make sure to stop by and grab a sweet treat! Damn... Ever since Scott and his amazing wife sold this joint, it's gone downhill. You can see it in the poor employee girl's face when she has to stop her toiling to grab us the donuts. Now I don't mind paying $8-$9 bucks for 2 donuts and a milk... but man... This apple fritter I got last time was just plain insulting! We came here a few days ago for the second time. Enjoyed the vegan apple fritter, cinnamon roll and strawberry mouse donut and would get them again. Also got a vegan pistachio donut, which I didn't really care for, since it was a cake style donut. Would love to see traditional yeast style vegan donuts. Was a little irritated when I noticed a 4% extra charge for using my credit card instead of cash. Did not see a sign on the counter by the payment terminal or anywhere else advising of this extra charge at the time of our visit. It was not a big amount, but I would have appreciated a sign, so I would have had the option to choose cash to avoid the surcharge. read more

I was stranded in the parking lot waiting for an Uber, my mom's vegetarian, I'm supposed to bring lunch home. Up pops up this place...like right next to where I'm standing. YOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I had the nice lady separate a blueberry donut so I could give one to the Uber driver. He called me before I got inside my place to taste mine. YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Yup. I got the Pistachio chocolate. This donut looks like a chocolate dipped old fashioned with some crushed pistachios...unassuming...Nah, this thing THICC. DENSE with pistachio flavor when you bite in. It's like a cake pop density, but old fashioned donut fluffiness. Na I can't explain it. I couldn't do it justice. My coworker's birthday was last month. On the day we were supposed to celebrate his b-day, he had to eat vegan for personal reasons. Hence, I wanted to surprise him with a vegan cake. I found Cakes Among Us in Rancho Cucamonga who makes vegan donuts and cakes. It's a cute and simple shop. I had to order the vegan cake 2 weeks ahead which was fine. I went with a vegan strawberry cake with vegan cream plus real strawberries. I didn't know vegan cakes cost that much... my vegan cake came out to be $65+, but that's okay... once in a lifetime thing LOL. It was a tall cake. Unfortunately, it was very dense and kinda dry IMHO. The cream didn't help as it was dense, too. Cake wasn't bad, but I prefer my cakes to be moist. I wanted to surprise my team with a different breed of donuts. So I got some vegan donuts, too LOL. They had strawberry, pumpkin, and vanilla based donuts. Vanilla is very bland IMHO. The other two were very good so that's what I got. I hear they have pistachio based, too, but it's seasonal. My team rated the vegan donuts from 3.5 to 4 stars which was fair. Everyone is allowed their own perspective. I welcome all perspectives... I may not agree with all of them, but I'll hear them out LOL. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Very helpful in answering my questions. Thank you so much Juan! Prices were a bit higher than what I would have liked, but we are dealing with a different breed, vegan, so perhaps the higher prices are justifiable. For vegan or non-vegan cakes and donuts, drop on by and support your neighborhood cake and donut shop. I may see you here when I'm picking up some pistachio vegan donuts. This place is amazing! I've wanted to try it for a while! First, we tried their donuts. They were so fresh and delicious! My favorite was the strawberry one (like the famous ones in Glendora). I need to try their maple bars sometime! Then I ordered my daughter's birthday cake, custom. Their website was easy to navigate and order. They then followed up with order confirmation, and payment. I don't know why Yelp is asking me to leave another review of my favorite place to get birthday cakes but I'm bored, sooo.... Yes. Simply delicious orange cake with cream cheese frosting. I mean - so good, we have never ordered anything else. Their baker was out for my bday, so we ordered from Claremont's famous Some Crust because they were the only other bakery we found with orange cake. HUGE MISTAKE. Have you ever seen 8 adults sniffing slices of cake to find out which one is the orange cake and which one is the spice cake, and everyone still be confused after taking a bite??? That was THAT. Never again. The orange cake at CAKE AMONG US is divine. Do you like lemon cake or carrot cake? Then you'll love their orange cake. It smells good. Like an orange candle with something sweet. It is moist. It is perfect. It is expensive. But you're paying for a memory of a wonderful time. So it's worth it. Tried one of their donuts for the first time recently. It was good but at end of the evening, so not fresh out of the oven taste. Maybe they can give discounts on donuts an hour or 2 before closing. Still, it was a high quality donut. read more

Went in here to price cakes. It t was like pulling teeth to get prices. The girl had a book of cake samples. I had to ask 3 times to see it. I wanted a simple cake with flowers on it. I even show her the flowers but she stared at me like she I was speaking another language. After telling her for the 4th time I wanted a 8 inch round with flowers on it and seeing her confused look. I walked out. Useless. read more

We are a family owned Bakery, Donut and Cake Shop. The family tradition started 1958 in Illinois, expanding into several communities in Illinois. Four of the McCaslin Brothers owned and operated full line bakeries at a young age. The current owners met in the baking industry. Laura McCaslin is an amazing cake decorator with over 25 years of experience and Scott McCaslin has been in different aspects of the baking industry since childhood. We got the salted caramel cold brew, a latte, a halo halo and a ube truffle. Oooh yummy everything was absolutely made to perfection. Getting these types of coffee drinks for under $5 is almost unheard of but I will for sure be back when in Rancho. The cafe is not easy to spot from the parking lot but they do have a sign to lead you there. It looks like a cool place to study or hang out, they have games and a few toys for littles. However, they abruptly canceled two days before the party, leaving us in a tough spot. It was just a simple egg-free cake due to our baby's allergies. I love the owners here, they are soooo nice and helpful! They cakes are beautiful and are always very good. I haven't tried the donuts but hopefully will get to soon. The only reason it put 4 stars instead of 5 was because the cake was a tiny bit dry, not too much to make it an issue but that would be my only negative from my experience here. I noticed what looked like a PLAIN glazed roll. I asked the cashier if it was "just glaze because I don't like cinnamon throughout a donut." He said, "We just bake it and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top." I responded, "Oh, ok, I'll try that then." Needless to say, when I left, I took a bite, released it into a napkin and pulled it apart-a whole cinnamon roll. Now, I realize clearing the shelves at a donut shop makes for a really good business day, but doing it at the expense of a positive experience is risky. Maybe he sold it to me, feeding off the fact that I couldn't tell if there was any cinnamon on top, I don't know. Some may say, it's no big deal, but to ME, it is. Simply put, if you KNOW something is the opposite of what a customer wants, just be truthful. It's okay to say no, at least I'm likely to return. Anyway, thats all. Go enjoy some donuts!

I have been seeing this big sign while driving north on Haven Ave that says The Freaky Cookie …read more.. finally decided to look them up online, as my hubby is a "Cookie Monster." They have a ton of flavors to choose from and apparently change the line up each month. I ordered a dozen for local pick up and we choose the classic chocolate chip, oatmeal, pineapple blueberry and the Nutella Butter. They were all great! They are freshly baked and a soft cookie. They are about 3 inches in diameter, so it's a good-sized cookie! They have corporate gifts and bulk gifts available for ordering, too! The process to order was easy! The service was very nice! Their walk-in area could use some work to match their yummy cookies, and wonderful service. A better sign outside would also help to get the attention of more drivers. I will definitely order more for gifts and such!

Like other reviews, I've seen the banners outside on my way home from work and have been wanting to…read moretry these cookies! Halloween was a good excuse to place an order for my office lunch. I got a couple dozen of the specialty which included Unicorn Sugar and Halloween Oreo. My coworkers and I really enjoyed them. The owners are very nice, I would recommend! FYI these are baked to order, so there isn't a counter to buy cookies.
