Got my dad's birthday cake here and it was a smooth experience. I called her I think 5 days before and she was able to have it ready for me Saturday morning. I went with carrot cake with vanilla frosting. As someone that doesn't like sugary deserts, I loved the cake I chose. I could go without the frosting because the cake itself was yummy. Come here if you want 100% sugar free deserts!!!! It's right across the street from upland high school. read more

Cute and nostalgic looking store. We were in the area eating at Sweet Fires and as we were walking around the complex found this place. We grabbed some cupcakes and chocolate ice cream. Everything in this store is sugar free. The desserts are actually pretty tasty. The service was really nice and the place was clean. They also have other desserts and chocolate. So I've never had this place but my mom had a dental appointment next door to it and so we decided to try it. The place is small they have a limited selection, she got the Sugar Free Apple Turnover, and I got the Cinnamon Cannoli. She likes hers but me I love the cream that is put inside being as though it was sugar free the cream had that real bitter taste. The pastry itself was flaky and good but the filling was horrible I did not eat it. It left a bad after taste. So I won't be going here again. And it was very expensive. read more

Had the no sugar added red velvet and birthday cake cookies. I don't even like red velvet or birthday cake flavor foods but that was the only no sugar added items left and I don't regret getting them. They were so soft and chewy. The perfect consistency. We loved them so much we went back the following weekend and bought more. It's so hard to find dessert places that cater to folks with dietary restrictions. I found this place on Yelp with great reviews since I am trying to watch my sugar intake so I decided to give this place a try. There is tons of parking in the plaza and it's next to one of my favorite tea spot, Tpumps. The inside looked really cute with a bunch of cute decors as well as outside on their entrance. They have decent amount of choices, but some displays are pretty empty. I decided to try the Lemon & Vanilla Mousse Tart (5 carbs), Banana & Vanilla with Chocolate Drizzle Mousse Tart (5 carbs), Apple Cheesecake Cup (11 carbs), Log Cream Horn (10-12 carbs), Dark Chocolate Truffles, Chocolate Covered Vanilla Caramel, and a box of Sugar Free Chocolate Chip cookies. They were very delicious even though it was lesser carbs, except the chocolate chip cookies tasted a little weird. The staff was very friendly, but should've at least let me know that if I paid with credit card there is a 3% processing fee. I didn't notice it till I asked for a receipt. I would definitely come again since my favorite would be the mousse tarts and pay in cash to avoid the card fee. You should give this place a try. read more

The food tastes good, and seems to be a favorite of many, but it's just difficult to find out the breakdown for diet club members and people who need to be mindful of contents- especially of a "premium item. " I think really it would be in the interest of the new owners to be diligent in the pursuit of this . Back in the day The thinnery used to be such a favorite amongst so many people with dietary needs. It seemed as though the content info was much more available- The soft serve today is not lo cal ( to me) - After checking on the website of the product itself(Newberrys), I was shocked. This place is a true diamond in Upland and the surrounding area. You can't even tell these desserts are sugar-free because they are so delicious. I say that as I have never been a fan of sugar-free anything. I tried the turnovers-- in ALL the flavors, because I couldn't choose between cherry, blueberry, strawberry, or seasonal apricot. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking to step outside of your usual dessert comfort zone or if you need to cater to a keto or sugar-free restriction. I have been going here for years. However, new owner!!! She kept the same selection of desserts BUT OMG they are soooooo much better tasting and texture!!!!! I loved it before but this is NEXT LEVEL! After my Dad became Diabetic, he gave up everything sweet, and then on a flight back home, he sat next to the original owner; if it changed hands, I don't know; she may still own it now. During the flight, my Dad's condition must have come up; she informed him that there were many different types of food he could eat, including sweets. She gave him a card, and we were off a few days after he arrived home. It was amazing to see all the things they had for him. He bought quite a few things that day, and he never had to miss out on dessert after dinner again. He always had a smile with everything he ate, so I imagine it was quite good. Our family loves this place. And we so grateful they are still in business. Sugar free low carb sweets. Every time we go we always leave with bags of treats served with laughter and smile.
