I'm so thankful this place popped up in my Yelp feed! I was looking for a new bakery closer to home and the reviews made me decide to give this place a try. It did not disappoint! I contacted them by phone with my request for a cake for my youngest's birthday party. My daughter had a very specific cake in mind. Alebrijes was very accommodating! I was able to send them photos of the cake she wanted and we picked a vanilla cake with fresh strawberry filling. I made a deposit via Zelle and paid the remaining balance upon pickup. Upon arrival, the cake was ready to go. The place was busy with customers picking up some pan dulce and they also have breakfast burritos. It's a cute little shop and it looks like they're doing well! Happy to see it! The cake was PERFECT! Decorated perfectly and it tasted incredible! I can't believe I haven't yet left a review! I've loved Alebrijes bread since before it was Alebrijes (back when it was a home kitchen and delivery service). I was so happy to be able to buy bread locally at a panadería vs the grocery store nearby. It makes a huge difference when you get to enjoy warm, freshly baked bread. I love the variety of breads that are offered - my favorites are still the mini conchas, the puerquitos, and the polvorones. I'm especially grateful that they added a food menu - it's saved me from starvation, and people around me from my hanger. I also really appreciate that they've allowed me to try tamales I have never had the chance to try before (I love the oaxaqueños made with mole). Not only is this a great place to get delicious pan and food, but it's also helping to serve as a community space where everyone is safe and welcomed. It's a place where you won't just see Latinos rushing in to buy and have a quick chat, but it welcomed anyone who has an interest in eating Mexican pan and food. There have been countless times when I see people coming in wanting to try something even if they don't yet know what they'll like. Everyone from owners, to owners' family, and staff are incredibly nice and informative. They patiently answer questions and often have some yummy treats to sample. It feels like you're going home to visit the Tia that spoils you with food. I really loved when the family was tending the shop, because I enjoyed hearing the stories of how recipes were obtained and how a certain kind of technique worked best. I find it fascinating because it wasn't just about food, but the history and stories behind it. It's a beautiful way to showcase our culture. Customer Service is always with a smile, everyone there is so friendly and so patient and even when you're undecided, they can make an amazing recommendation. My family and I love, this bakery, the quality of everything we've had (mostly sweetbreads) is on point! However, management is missing the mark when it comes to current events especially being so close to L.A. County!!! Last year we requested BLUE conchitas/Conchas during Dodgers playoffs and World Series season , they declined... ok no problem stayed loyal ... this weekend I came in, and to my surprise they had blue mini Conchas, AWESOME but we aren't in baseball "playoff" mode. Right now, the Latin community is in soccer world cup mode ... This Sunday they had these Conchas with the MX flag colors AMAZING, I purchased 1 and thought this will be perfect for the office on Tuesday when Mexico plays Ecuador so yesterday I called to pre order a dozen MX flag conchas only to be told sorry we won't have themwth ‍ ‍ ‍ As I said, we love what this bakery is producing but they are continually missing the mark when it counts, management needs to do better on current events, especially in this economy! To sum up my review , I would give them 4 stars if they were more in tune with current events, lastly, they could step up their coffee game maybe offering some authentic Cafe de olla, at least on the weekends, that would be awesome! read more

Alebrijes Bakery on Baseline in Rancho Cucamonga is hands down my favorite panaderia in the area. Everything I've tried tastes fresh, soft, and genuinely delicious, and I've never once walked out disappointed. The small conchas are especially beautiful, with vibrant colors that almost look like tiny galaxies sitting in the display case. It's one of those bakeries where you go in planning to grab one or two things and leave with a box that's mysteriously full. I can't speak highly enough of this bakery! I work for a university where we host a major event at the start of Hispanic Heritage Month each year. Alebrijes Bakery was recommended to me 2 years ago and they are now the only place I'll order conchas from. I order 1500+ every September and I'll keep ordering that many as long as they'll keep taking my order. The staff is kind, professional, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. I can't say enough positive things about this organization. Beyond the significant order I place annually, I visit the bakery for some treats from time to time. Alebrijes is one of my favorite local spots for fresh Mexican sweet bread. Their pan dulce is always fresh, and the conchas are my go-to every time. I haven't tried their cakes yet, but they always look tempting. The champurrado is really delicious and perfect on a cooler day. I'm personally not a fan of their tamales, but a few of my family members enjoy them--my preference is chicken verde, so that's likely just a personal bias. This was a cultural experience for us, and the ladies working there were kind and friendly and guided us through their recommendations and the prices. I do wish prices were posted on everything, but it was easy enough to figure out once she explained it. We got several different recommended cookies and things, and also tried a champurrado for the first time (like a super thick hot chocolate). Honestly, we weren't super impressed by anything... We're more fans of gooey cookies, but these were all a crispy crunchy style. I liked that there are many cookies for just 50 cents or $1 each, but because they're not our thing, we won't be coming back. Lovely employees, though! read more

This does not taste like the generic horchata most fast places provide. Had to make sure my husband didn't drink both of them without sharing. I work at Staters down the street from Alebrijes Bakery and have always wanted to stop by. I finally decided I was gonna try them out and get my Rosca from them. I got the Rosca with guava & cream cheese. My family loved it. It was very delicious. The customer service was great as well. Most likely will make this our traditional Rosca. This place is so cute and yummy. I was drawn to their bright colors - and I love how they make the mini conchas in rainbow colors. Alebrijes Panadería is by far THE best bakery in Rancho Cucamonga! I'm from Santa Ana where there are panaderías on almost every block and this place has the authenticity most places in Rancho lack. You are instantly greeted by warm bolillo smell and incredibly welcoming and kind employees. The pan de dulce, tamales, champurrado, bolillos, cakes all remind me of home with the delicious flavors and soft buttery textures. It's hard to not overindulge because all the pan de dulce is authentic and delightful.
