Now we ordered a variety of over 8 items. We ordered the S'mores cookie, total waste of money. It was so dry and not the good kind of dry you enjoy with your favorite beverage. It was a dry like a crouton. Their brookie, peanut butter and chocolate was really good. It wasn't dry and had great flavor. We ordered all of their "pop tarts" and would see they were all equally dry too. The purple/pinkish (sorry don't know the name) berry flavored cookie was really good. So safe bet is their brownies and berry flavored cookie. The rest eat at your own risk. Also wanted to add that despite ordering plenty of items we asked if we could have a sticker (you know you build business when customers sport your stickers) but the girl wanted to charge us for it still. Stopped by Cosmic Bakery in Upland and had a great experience--so good I came back the next day. First visit, I think I was helped by the owner, who was super helpful, took the time to explain the menu, the concept, and answered every question I had. Even helped with the self-service kiosk, which made the experience that much better. Came back on March 18th (Tuesday) around 11-12 PM, bringing someone along to share the place with them. Unfortunately, the staff that day was a different story. The person behind the counter barely engaged, just pointed at the menu and walked away. Every little question felt like I was wrestling for answers. Some items weren't on the iPad, others had different images, and instead of clarifying, the employee gave the quickest answer possible before disappearing. The setup is cool, but there's no real written menu anywhere--just an iPad and a display case of goodies. If there were actual descriptions, ingredients, or signage, there'd be fewer questions, making the self-service approach easier. But as it stands, if the staff isn't interested in helping, it makes the experience frustrating for new customers. As for the food? Pretty solid. That Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut? Stale. Everything else? Great. Still giving this place 5 stars because I get it--as a former manager, I know that business owners treat their spots like their babies, and unfortunately, the people they hire don't always represent it the way it deserves. Love love love the Cosmic Bakery! The galactic murals, the quirky vibes, the pop tarts! Every time I'm in Upland, this place is a must. Had the new cherry pastry recently and holy smokes, so tasty! The fact they can replicate the frosting of their non-vegan counterparts is wonderful. Seems that their hours of operation are consistently an issue. Called ahead, went down this afternoon. Small handwritten sign on the door said they were closed. A huge sign out front says open. Even went to check instagram (@astrotarts and @dazeddonuts and even @radcoffee for good measure) and there was zero communication of the change in hours. Bummer. I didn't get to taste all the items that we bought but everyone enjoyed all that they did. I had the lemon pop-tart type dessert and it was delicious. I also had a bite of a cookie with marshmallows in it and that was tasty too. My sister loves the donuts and them being vegan is a huge bonus. It's self serve so it's great and quick. The assembly of your pastries may take a few minutes or so. The sound level is low and the music was mellow. Plus it's a super cute shop. read more

Such a great hidden gems for anyone looking for vegan desserts in upland! Rice krispy - so delish! The closest thing I've had to the non-vegan rice krispy treats by Kellogg Chocolate chip cookie - super dense! Crispy sides and soft middle. Definitely a great pair to a glass of milk or scoop of ice cream. S'mores brownie - was my least favorite. The brownie was dry and crumbly but the toasted marshmallows on top were delicious Pumpkin tart - delish! I love pumpkin pie and this is a genius way to eat it on the go. Friends..when I say I was not a believer, nothing could convince me that vegan could beat non vegan...until this. Walked in, Skeptical ...and ended buying the whole menu!!! My family and I have made the trip from Eastvale to *attempt* to try this bakery so many times. It always says they're open when we go, but they never are which is such a bummer. We got there at 4:15 yesterday, the shop info said it closed at 5. I called, went to the shop and it's closed early. Luckily I guess, we still wanted a snack and saw Rad Coffee next door so went in. I figured they'd have some vegan options and lo and behold they sell some of Astrotarts/Cosmic Bakery's pop tarts. There were only 3 flavors available to try, some peanut butter brownies, one with all kinds of things in it and purple icing, and a Rice Krispie with berries which didn't really interest us. We tried the brown sugar and cookies and cream one. They're really cute, aesthetically pleasing, but tbh I was underwhelmed with the flavor after waiting so long to try them. The pastry itself is good, reminds me of a pie crust. The icing is like a hard shell and it just tastes very sweet, very crumbly I don't recommend snacking in the car lol. I got about halfway through it and just felt it tasted wayy too sweet and couldn't get that taste out of my mouth. My husband got the cookies and cream and said he liked it. I'm not sure I'll be going out of my way anymore to attempt to try the other flavors offered in the actual shop, but if I'm in the area maybe I'll try again and not get such a sweet flavor. read more

We were getting rad coffee next door and saw they were selling Cosmic Bakery items. The employee told us they were next door with additional items if we wanted to see more. Walked in and the bakery is indeed, *~cosmic*~. All items are vegan and gluten free. Freshly baked goodies with a fun look to them. We got their donuts and cookie dough sandwich. We got the blue velvet, chocolate, and vanilla donut. The donuts aren't huge and are on the smaller size. Their donuts were not dry and we were all shocked how (...wait for it) *moist* they were. Such a pleasant surprise! The employee introduced us to the cookie dough sandwich which was two cookies with cookie dough in the middle. We got the cotton candy and chocolate (not pictured). This is an item you can share with other people because it's pretty sweet. One bite satisfied by craving. I stopped by to order a dozen tarts for a special event. They had a good selection to pick from but I wish they came individually wrapped like they do when you buy them at Rad Coffee. The tarts definitely didn't stay as fresh in the box versus the little cellophane bags they normally use. I did ask the staff for shelf life on the product and while she wears friendly, her response was vague. I was told they can hold 1-2 weeks in the fridge but when I asked via their instagram page, they told me the self-life varied. I DMd them to inquire about the specifics for the ones I bought but they never replied to me (it's been 3 days). I hope they start to publish their shelf-life a little more especially when you buy multiple tarts. The shop is really cute, I'll probably stop by again when I'm in the area. read more

For being a little bakery, they really have a good variety of vegan treats to choose from. I ordered the Mini Cookies n Cream, Mini Cookie Dough donuts and a Double Chocolate Cookie w/Buttercream. The dark chocolate was strong and tasted delicious. Treats were moist, light and not over sugary like usual dairy donuts. The girl who took my order was very kind and friendly as well.
