This might be the absolute worst bakery I have ever seen. An absolute scam. Nothing fresh! Nothing is actually made at their store, everything is outsourced from other bakery's. I ordered a red velvet cake from here in advance before pickup. 1st issue was they didn't give me a price because they "didn't know". Fine. I call the day of to confirm cake pickup time, they say "cake isn't ready yet, 30-40mins" I get to the shop and the cake isn't ready, they say another 20-30 mins. I leave and come back an hour later and they tell me they forgot the cake, then another employee comes out and tells me that the "driver" is there with the cake. Employee comes back after checking with "driver" and tells me they forgot to bring the cake. Didn't offer any solution to fix the issue or even attempt to possibly make me a cake by the end of the day. Upon complaining, they offered me $10 off any cake :/ Needless to say. Now I have no cake for my New Year's party and will never be recommending or visiting this bakery ever again. Went to Mr.Baker instead! Cake was ready in 20 mins! read more

I'm always on the lookout for new dessert places to try in the Ontario area. Came across Caesar's Pastry, which had fairly good reviews, and decided to stop by since we were pretty close to the store. Caesar's is located in a fairly large plaza - lots of parking spots in the private lot. When I walked in, there was one worker who was pretty friendly and immediately helped me with my selections. Dessert displays of cookies, baklava, cakes, tarts, cheesecakes. Prices are not too expensive either. Chose several items and dug into them once we got into the car. Unfortunately everything was a pretty big letdown. We had gotten the pistachio slice ($3.25), which was recommended by the worker. The cake was so incredibly dry, it felt like it had been made weeks ago and had been sitting out. The cream in the middle had already almost solidified and was no longer soft. Taste was no good either, ended up tossing it after several bites. Tried the hazelnut cheesecake ($3.25) which was also incredibly dry. Per my friend, if it didn't say hazelnut on the sign, he wouldn't have even known it was supposed to be a hazelnut cheesecake. Also ordered a piece of their pistachio baklava. These run for $17.50 a pound; my small piece was about $1. The baklava was okay, taste was not bad. But it didn't taste fresh; the filo pastry wasn't crispy and light, but had soaked through and was super soft and doughy. Overall, this was a big miss. They charge extra if you pay with card. I DM'd Caesar's Pastry on instagram because I kept seeing the viral Dubai chocolate strawberries on TikTok. I'm home sick and there's no way I can make them. Because their middle eastern desserts are so good and they're always so kind when I go in, I knew they would be able to help me out! In just a few messages I was able to order them and have my mom pick them up on Super Bowl Sunday, just a few minutes after kick off!!! I love their hours of operation, I feel like everywhere closes so early now. I appreciate them accommodating my request and I appreciate how these strawberry cups taste even more!!! We though it was going to be a Spanish bakery but it is actually a Mediterranean bakery with very authentic deserts from Jordan and European countries. Everything look and smell super fresh and Naim herself the owner helped us, she was very professional and answered all the questions we had. Their pistachio cream was different, not in the best way & they had barely any of the kataifi which was not crunchy at all and lead me to believe either it's not fresh or they didn't cook it long enough? Not sure. I also saw they had pistachio cream for sale, so I bought a jar bc I'm obsessed w/ this stuff. The freaking jar seal was broken and open.
