Kape Republik is a very charming and delicious little bakery located right next to the food hall! It's Filipino owner and provides great cultural desserts that remind my fiancé of home. There is parking all around, but do be careful about delivery trucks coming in and out. When we visited this time around, we bought a dozen of their crinkly cookies in every flavor for a friend's birthday party. It costed us $30 - we received ube, biscoff, fruit pebbles, pumpkin spice, pandan, chocolate, guava, calamansi, and more. My favorite is their ube and chocolate! We had also ordered their turon pastry and this was to die for. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. The center was also a whole banana. That is definitely a must from us. Our main reason for visiting was to order a custom cake and their wedding package - for $890, we could order 500 mini dessert items. I won't specify because I won't receive it for a few months, but it's a fantastic deal. The young ladies who work here are phenomenal! Very helpful and sweet. I was in Ontario for my daughter soccer game and my daughter told me about a fantastic Filipino dessert spot where they have empanadas and delicious cookies and cupcakes. Their purple ube white chocolate chip cookies are very popular, but I the s'mores cookie. It was so delicious and not over the sweet. The store is very cute and cozy and even has a little small table chairs for kids to sit at. It's a Filipino bakery located at New Haven Market Place in Ontario. What a simply pretty lavender bakery shop! My eyes lit up like a little kid in a candy shop. Colorful crinkles, beautiful cakes, warm savory baked goods, and so much more. Condiment and utensil station available. Limited inside stool seating. One all gender restroom for customer use only. There is even a space for business cards to be shared. Cool! Kid you not, I spent about an hour here mesmerized by the goodies and taking photos. At the time, I did not know I was speaking with the owner, Karla. She was super nice and friendly. The latter was my favorite and the best of the three Finally I tried the Ube Flan Cupcake (flan ) and Calamansi and Ube Cookies. I enjoyed the Ube cookie and the Calamansi was pretty good. Thanks to Yelp, I came across this cute little Filipino café, Kape Republik, in Ontario Ranch, and I'm so glad I did!!! They have such a great variety of pastries, desserts, empanadas, drinks, coffees, matchas, and all the sweet treats you could crave... I also tried three of their crinkle cookies: birthday cake, s'mores, and ube, and all three were amazing!!!! They also have ube flan, which I'll definitely be trying on my next visit because Filipino desserts are my weakness and ube flan is one of my favorites... This cute cafe/bakery is a nice stop for those who want to get into Filipino desserts. The food here is a little on the sweeter side. I ordered the Island Girl latte, a box of 12 assorted crinkle cookies (originally priced at $30, but I got them at a discount--I think they were a day old), guava cheese rolls, and a chocolate cigar. The crinkle cookies were great. They're lightly sweetened with a sugary coating on the outside. I had the strawberry, calamansi, and guava flavors, and they each had a distinctive taste, which I appreciated. I didn't get to try the cheese rolls since I was gifting those. I did try the chocolate cigar, which was like a brownie rolled up in a croissant. That texture wasn't my preference. All in all, I would definitely buy the crinkle cookies again, and I'd try a different drink next time. read more

Came in a large cup with all the good mixings and layers of shaved ice, milk (your choice of 2% or oat), various sweetened beans, jellys, tapioca pearls, fruits and topped off with a scoop of ube ice cream. Chicken adobo bomb has a flaky crust similar to a croissant on the outside filled with shredded chicken seasoned as adobo. It wasn't bad. I enjoyed this flavored bomb better than the corned beef bomb. Corned beef bomb is the same crust as above. The inside is just corn beef and potatoes. I found the corned beef to be lacking flavor and it just tasted plain overall. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either? It was just meh. I really enjoyed their crinkle cookies. I order strawberry and lemon. It was bigger than I thought they would be. I loved how the cookie was crispy on the outside and very fluffy in the middle. It was super good coated with powdered sugar. I was excited to try their guava strudel as I love the guava rolls from Portos. These ones from Kape were amazing. I love that they sprinkle sugar on top of the crust to give it a bit more crunch. Ube cupcake with the flan on top wasn't quite hitting for me. The cupcake itself was really dry and the flan is not flan without the caramel sauce. These crinkle cookies are no joke. I got the calamansi, fruity pebbles, ube, and guava and they were all so good I had to come leave a review. The outside has this perfect little crunch and then the inside is just super soft, exactly how a crinkle should be. I hate when cookies are dry or taste like they've been sitting out forever but these always taste fresh every time, which is saying a lot. Flavor-wise they all go crazy. The calamansi is a little tangy which I loved, fruity pebbles is just fun and tastes exactly like you'd expect, ube is rich without being too sweet, and the guava one is lowkey my favorite. Honestly some of the best cookies I've had in a while. Already thinking about my next order. If you haven't tried these yet just do it, you won't regret it. I'm a trucker and I've ordered from them through DoorDash twice in two weeks. I love ube and they offer a lot of ube flavored delights. My favorites are Ube Flan cupcakes and the ube brownie because they are not too sweet just perfect balance. The ube cheesecake is kinda good too the "crust" is a nice surprise and contrast to the soft ube part. Don't care for the tres leches- it just doesn't taste ube enough for me. Wow!!! I purchased their Ube Drink & Crinkle Cookies and I am beyond amazed at how fluffy/soft the cookies are (at least the fruity pebbles one, since I haven't tried the ube one yet). But man.... It's incredible! It's like a dream every-time I bite into it. Also, side note: I am quite a picky dessert person and when I experience a dessert that blows my mind ... which is incredibly hard to do, so I love to give praise when that happens.
