I wanted to write an update to my review from a few weeks ago, the customer service has been exceptional. I ended up going back today and let the employees know about what happened during my last visit. They ended up remaking my previous order (Lychee green tea with boba and lychee jelly) and made it 0% sweet which was perfect. The employees were extremely accommodating and even let me taste it before leaving. FYI: the tea was still sweet because the toppings have sweetness already added to them. I also ordered a few other drinks for my family: matcha milk tea, taro milk tea, strawberry lemon slush, and plain green tea. I ordered mostly all of them with less sweetness and my family really liked them and thought the sweetness levels were perfect. read more

After a long day we decided to order via app and pick up our dinner. Our drinks and food are as following: strawberry slush x 2 are good, oolong milk tea with boba x 2 are good tea, bobas are a bit hard, Taiwanese sausage rice is better than average, popcorn chicken rice is very average, the fried udon is good. Service is friendly, but they are very busy. Chat Tea has a welcoming vibe and modern cafe decor, plus plenty of seats for small parties. Everything looks well thought of and warm. They have couple order kiosks, a restroom. Food is okay to me, drinks are good. I can see most patron are here for the drinks. read more

I was looking for a boba tea place I haven't tried and this is one that came up. I tried the classic milk tea with boba and I would say that it is good, but not the best. It was refreshing and the boba is chewy and consistent. I also got the popcorn chicken non-spicy and was okay. It looks like a good place to study with free WiFi. The decor is that of a cozy cafe. I didn't get to stay too long but I think seating is abundant. I went around early afternoon and wasn't too busy, I think after I got my drink and food it started getting really busy. There is the main register and they also have two self serve kiosks that makes it easy to order. They have a wide range of drinks and food. First time coming to Chat Tea after driving past it a few times, and I'm so glad I finally stopped in. It's such a charming little hole-in-the-wall spot with beautiful decor and a really fun vibe. I can definitely see it being a favorite for anime lovers. The staff was very friendly and made the experience even better. If I'm being totally honest, one of the reasons I really like this place is because of how cheap it is. I payed a little less then $14 for 3 drinks, now a days, you could hardly ever find that. The coffees were a little basic but the milk tea was good. I don't think they are known for their coffee, I didn't try any teas or food but I'm sure it's very good. I love the milk tea here. Well, I really love all the teas here. It has such great flavors and the best part is that the sugar and sweetness is never overwhelming. It doesn't feel like you're drinking just sugar but you can taste the tea as well. The bobas always fresh and chewy which I love. Their chicken katsu curry is good as well. First time reviewing this place, but not my first time here. Been coming here since 2019 on and off. Management has changed but everything still tastes as good as before, if not better cause there's also more options. My friend and I came in around noon and today I ordered the almond milk tea with roasted oolong tea and green tea jelly (regular ice/regular sugar) very almond heavy and sweet so next time I'll probably request 50% sugar. After 2 hours of studying I ordered the spam & egg rice ball and takoyaki. The spam & egg rice ball was good just kept falling apart at the end. The takoyaki was good too, nice outside crunch and gooey center, I just wished there was more sauce on top. My friend got their strawberry matcha and it was good, but just a bit sweet as it was her first time getting it she got regular ice/regular sugar. The overall ambience of the place is nice and cozy with the anime decorations along the wall and also the plants along the front. There's a fair number of outlets along the wall and free WiFi--you'll just have to ask for the password. A pretty good spot to get some work/studying in (: There are 2 reasons I am docking it from being a five star review. Firstly, there are only 2 tables with relatively comfortable seats, all the other chairs aside from the high bar are like the ones in my picture. And the second and more important reason I'm marking it down from a 5-star review is because the two girls at the front were very noisily talking about customers/coworkers and bad-mouthing them. It was really distracting and if it weren't for my noise cancelling headphones we probably would have left within the hour. I decided to re-do the review since I was able to try more options. The spot is quaint, cute, and a great place to grab a drink, snacks, and do some work or chat with a friendo. The place is clean, plenty of seating and tons of parking. I am a basic milk tea drinker and I am not a fan of fruity drinks so anywhere I go, I just usually go for the milk tea with boba as that is something that is not hard to mess up, but when crafted well, it is super delicious and hearty to me. I initially went here and ordered their black tea with pudding and boba, not knowing that they also had milk teas. The black tea and boba were delicious, especially the boba, but I felt that the pudding was lacking in both sweetness and amount. Now that I know they serve milk tea, I got their brown sugar milk black tea with boba and my goodness, it was fantastic and delicious. Perfect blend of milk, tea, brown sugar, and boba and it was very sweet (brown sugar is naturally sweeter than regular sugar) which I totally like, it was perfect for me and with this drink alone, I would rate it 5/5. I feel like their meals here are lacking. I have tried their Taiwanese sausage and popcorn chicken. Both were just lacking in their natural recipe flavor and i wouldn't recommend getting either of these. I will say their kastu with curry and rice was tasty, and I would order again despite wishing they gave more curry. Their spam rice ball was hefty with rice, but was severely lacking in the spam piece department, but tasty overall. Keep in mind that these snacks or entrées are just something to snack on, don't expect anything super quality tasty and you're not missing out if you don't order any of the food. I love coming to this place, and usually try to come here to eat while working when I can. The cafe ambience is very cozy, with multiple tables available to enjoy company with friends, study, or get some work done. That's what my friend and I were hoping to do when we sat down, but sadly we kept overhearing some very disturbing things from the workers here. You can usually always count on Chat Tea at Ontario to have amazing food and great customer service, but something happened today that was pretty disappointing. Most of the time, the workers are nice and their conversations are nothing but wholesome but the conversation of the ladies who were working here today were anything but! It was very unprofessional, talking badly about customers and coworkers loudly as they went through training. Names were dropped and laughed about, and I consumed more drama tea from this store than actual tea during my stay here. Other than that, the food and drinks were great as usual. If you like your drinks on the sweeter side, then you'll love their drinks as-is here. I ordered the strawberry matcha while my friend got an almond milk tea. Both drinks were okay but we'll be ordering them as less sweet for the future. I lost my appetite listening to those girls be so nice to customers face to face, but then talk badly about others when it got less busy (and you had no choice but to listen to them with how loudly they spoke), but my friend ordered some food a couple hours into our stay. The spam and egg onigiri was very flavorful according to her. I would recommend having a spoon and a couple of napkins handy while eating it. The takoyaki smelled amazing and was nice and crispy on the outside. I love this place, but please work on the professionalism while working. We've been regular customers of this tea shop since it opened at the shopping center at the corner of Archibald & Riverside over 3 years ago. I think we've been here at least a dozen times since it's the nearest tea shop to our home. The service is always great and the staff is always friendly. My go-to drink in the summer time has been their Strawberry Lemon Delight. It tastes like a blended strawberry lemonade and it's absolutely splendid! When we're in the winter time, my go-to would be the hot almond milk tea. Another great thing about this tea shop is their food. I've always had great experiences with their popcorn chicken. The chicken is crunchy and a little spicy. It's great as either a snack or a full blown meal if you get the rice plate. Overall, I highly recommend this tea shop as one of the best Ontario has to offer. I actually like it more than the chains like Kung Fu Tea or Sunright Tea Studio. read more

High quality teas and yummy food!! I've visited this cafe a few times now and service and quality both exceed expectations. A kind cashier/barista named Joseph always makes sure I like the taste of my drink and offers to remake it if it's too sweet, lacking flavor (which is almost never), etc. I like how this cafe serves more than just the typical snacks (popcorn chicken, fries, etc.). This cafe has rice balls, mapo tofu, pork katsu, curry, and more! The interior of this cafe is very cozy and has anime vibes (it also has anime decorations). There is a good amount of seating in the cafe and it is a good spot to study or get any work done. One time I also started making bead bracelets and none of the workers seemed to judge nor care so I felt comfortable doing other activities! I love this cafe so much that I wish they opened up a location in Orange County !! Everyone support this cafe so they can expand! Chat tea is a nice little boba spot, that has a good amount of seating. During the weekdays, you can catch a couple of kids here coming from the jr. high near by hanging out. At night it is a quiet little cafe where people are studying for having a dinner break. I got the lavender milk tea with no adjustments and it was perfect. Love this place! Great tea and I love the onigiri (rice balls) they sell. It's a perfect snack to go with a milk tea. Their coffee is also very good. The atmosphere is very quaint and the staff is so friendly. The only thing I can say I don't like is I'm a bigger person and the chairs scare me like they will break if I sit on them. Literally my favorite spot any time I am in the inland empire. I always get the oolong milk tea or the black milk tea with boba. Every time I go, it's a 100% hit. The quality is consistent. I also really like the rice balls. They're such a treat and go really well with their special garlic sauce. The place is super cute with classic Miyazaki films. Staff are prompt and are always busting out a ton of orders. I'm glad that not too many people know about this spot (unlike Omomo where the line wraps around the block). I happened to find this location on Yelp and I'm so glad I came to try this place. I used the self serve kiosk to order I was the first customer of the day so they had fast service and they were pretty friendly. I ordered a Thai iced tea, Diablo rice ball and a spam and egg rice ball. This was my first time trying to rice ball and I was not disappointed. It was very good very flavorful and just the right amount of spiciness. The Thai ice was also very good. This location is very big and has a pretty good amount of seating areas. They also have a seating area where people could read a book or study. My favorite thing about this place was not only the food, but also the decorations. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into how they decorated this establishment. From the entrance to the wall by the restroom, everything was decorated with artwork, puzzles, plants, and drawings. Thank you for opening up an awesome boba place around this area :) My siblings and I went here most of the time whenever I'm visiting my parents. As you can tell, Ontario does not have good boba place around, so I'm super stoke to see one that is superb :) The ambiance from the outside looks like a boba market cause of its gigantic sign and location, but the inside is the opposite. It is quite cozy and relaxing inside. They have anime memorabilia on their walls. It's simply a chill place to be while drinking your boba milk tea :) I always ordered their Finland Delight because not a lot of boba place serve this drink. It's basically an orange smoothie, which is not common, but damn good and refreshing. The flavor is a little funky at first, but when you keep ordering it like I do; it is one of their best smoothies in my opinion. Overall, I really like this place.. Have drove by here like hundred times and finally set foot inside. It's located in an older shopping plaza near New Haven. Another hidden gem in the middle of Ontario. First impress, great decor! I took a lot photos, and seemed like whoever set up the interior is a Miyazaki fan. I didn't order any drink because I just had one at another place. I ordered popcorn chicken rice. The order was made within timely manner. It was priced very reasonable during this era of inflation. The popcorn chicken tasted fresh, it had sides such as white rice, pickled vege, a soy sauce simmered egg, and a piece of simmered tofu. The portion was just perfect. I have been here many times as my daughter comes for meets up after school. She enjoys coming and getting Boba however the staff here is so rude to these kids. Every Friday kids come and support and buy from this tea place and the staff will literally come out and put up tables and fold chairs while they are still sitting. Not every kid is bad I have never seen any kids damage any property and yet they come out and harass them. I let my daughter come here and I sit in my car and watch. I always support local businesses but not if your rude to my teen. Update: well Mr. Yang we can beg to differ on your rudeness to these kids. You are not security for the property as these kids are paying customers to your neighboring businesses and your shop. As a business owner I know you are well aware that cheap lawn furniture is not going to last. Your opinion on customer service is far out of reach. I appreciate your response to each any everyone of my points. Making excuses for your poor customer service isn't going to fix the judgment you have on the jr high kids and the high-school kids that come here. Maybe asking nicely would work.
