Da Pan Ji （Sauteed Spicy Chicken Hand Pulled Noodles): Sauce....is ok. Chicken...is dry and old. Dish Highlights: Pulled Noodles was good, great bounce, great texture, real hand pulled noodles. Dish Improvement: Needs more Anise, a slight bit more rock sugar, cinnamon cloves, fennel, maybe velvet the chicken wings and thighs before stir frying....baking soda + starch? Needs some Ghost Pepper Powder for the kick, and probably some oyster sauce rather than just regular and dark soy sauce. Mung Bean Smoothie: perfect, made to my specs, 20% sugar. Just right. This is my second time here. I drove my rig into the plaza after coming back from my Sacramento dispatch trip. Last time I had the beef tripe noodles (B+) not bad, but worth an order. I had their lamb skewers the first time around...not on my recommend list, you'll do better at any of those skewer places in City of Industry along Gale Ave and Frank and Sons. I had there Rou Jia Mou Meat Hamburgers from what I remember, maybe because I was too full, I didn't finish it, and disregarded packing my bun togo...so that being said, the Rou Jia Mou was pretty mediocre. Nice interior though, very cafe like. Last thoughts: to be honest, for the last two times in the plaza, I was prioritizing the buffet place next door, but somehow always end up here at Changan.... probably the overall menu, vibe here feels more authentic....at least that's the vibe you get seeing a bunch of random Chinese FOBs popping in here at Ontario, CA when most of these folks predominantly live in Chino, Eastvale, Chino Hills, Maybe Rancho, and see definitely more East Los Angeles. Think I had their pot stickers last time, was pretty good from memory. Why the three stars? Because I feel I can make better 大盤雞 Da Pan Ji at home minus the hand pulled noodles and the overall quality of food is probably comparable to say Hong Kong Macau Restaurant Cafe in Rowland Heights, you get off work, you don't know what to eat, you find a place that serves local, street culture Chinese food but it's not that great, but hey, we say that about McDonalds, and we still pick up a Quarter Pounder every now and then.

Food tastes even better now that they have a new chef. Authentic chinese food, so far it's still one of the best in the inland empire (upland to SB) and I've eaten at almost all the chinese restaurants in the area. As you can tell from my photos, I come here a lot as it's close to work. Here are some of my faves: Chinese Burger Lamb / Beef Lamb Skewers Beef Noodles Soup Cumin Beef Noodles Lamb Soup Spicy Fish Soup Mapo Tofu with Beef String Beans Egg Plant with Potato General Tso Chicken I always order extra spicy for dishes that can be spicy but I wish it can be spicier. That would be perfect.
My favorite noodle texture ever. There's few places that have a really bouncy noodle texture and can maintain it and this is one of those places. We took this home and I microwaved it and it was still good. The order came out within 10 minutes and the restaurant was empty since we went 30 minutes before closing. We ordered the biang biang noodles (N1) and the hand-ripped noodles with stewed pork (N5). They tasted similar to me but I think the latter was more oily and strong in flavor.
Came in with a few coworkers for lunch and wow this place has exceeded our expectations. We were quickly sat and ordered through our phones, which was super easy and efficient. We got the hand ripped noodles with pulled pork, shrimp fried rice, and mapo tofu with braised beef brisket. Our food came out so fast! Everything was bursting with flavor and portions were huge--perfect for family style. Our fav was definitely the hand pulled/ripped noodles. We loved the bouncy chewy texture balanced with the umami flavor of the sauce and the pulled pork. Everything was so authentic and delicious. I can't wait to go back. This will be a lunch go-to for sure.
Outstanding service! We called around 7:45 to check if they were still accepting walk ins and they were extremely kind about letting us stay past their closing time to finish our food. They never rushed us and were extremely helpful. The restaurant was clean and had a QR ordering system as well as servers if you need help. There were a lot of options but we ordered the mapo tofu with braised brisket and sautéed spicy chicken noodles. The mapo tofu had a delicious tangy sauce with the szechuan spice. The brisket was a bit chewier than expected, but was wonderfully seasoned. The hand pulled noodles were nice and chewy, but the standout part of the dish was the potatoes. They were slightly crispy on the outside, but still nice and soft on the inside. I would definitely recommend this place and we look forward to coming again to try more items from the menu!

The service was lightning-fast--we barely had time to admire the elegant chopsticks before our drinks and appetizers started arriving. The handmade noodles were a true standout: perfectly chewy with just the right bite, and an ideal canvas for both the rich broth and the bold chili oil. Every dish was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. We absolutely loved the General Tso's Chicken--crispy, tangy, and generously portioned. The eggplant dish was another highlight: tender, flavorful, and satisfying without being overly heavy. By the time the dumplings arrived, we were already happily stuffed, but of course we had to try a few... and wow. So delicate, juicy, and bursting with flavor--easily some of the best we've had. Can't wait to come back and try even more of the menu. A new favorite for sure!

Based on the recommendation, we went with N9. Triple noodles with stewed pork, egg and tomatoes, potatoes and carrots. Texture of the noodles were good and I liked it with the gravy. The eggplant and string beans - tasty. Beef Tripe - but salty but good with rice. Pretty big sized portions. We enjoyed the dishes and were stuffed.

Did a little search and found this Changan Kitchen restaurant nearby, so we decided to give them a try. Upon entering the restaurant, you could feel a positive vibe. Everything looks so clean and nice. We were seated right away. Got our water and menus. Staffs were very friendly and courteous. Looking thru the menu, the selections were a little foreign to me. This is not your typical Chinese food restaurant. We really didn't know which items would be good. So we just look at items we thought might be good and just ordered blindly. We ordered the following dishes to share: - Braised Beef Brisket Noodle Soup - Shrimp Fried Rice - Black Pepper Shrimp with Broccoli - Pork Belly Slices BBQ At first, we didn't know how it would taste or if it is any good. But very pleasantly surprised all four dishes were so good and tasty! I enjoyed all the dishes. And would definitely come back again to try their other items on the menu.

Came across this restaurant browsing thru Yelp ! Reviews were great so went here for Saturday lunch! No pork belly in the menu so when I inquired our server he had the manager or chef ( I didn't ask) talk to me. There was a Chicken or Tofu Cashew and he said he will substitute it with the pork belly!! I was ecstatic that they accommodated my preference of pork belly meat!! Pork Belly meat were tender and thinly sliced cut portions that were stir fried with wood ear mushrooms and red bell peppers!!! Sauce of this dish has that deliciously tangy , sweet and salty flavor ! Braised beef noodles was seasoned and flavorful with very tender meat! I enjoyed this lunch with hubby and couple friends!! I will surely come back to try other dishes on the menu !!
First time trying this type of cuisine. The beef noodle tastes like Taiwanese beef noodle soup with a peppercorn kick, but not extraordinarily spicy. Could use some more beef slices. The cold noodles were good and refreshing with cucumber. The pork burger tastes like a Chinese carne asada.
We ordered two Chinese burger with pork (roujiamo) and took one home. When my child was eating it, we found a lot of hair on the meat. After looking closely, it appeared to be pig nipple/skin with hair still attached. This was extremely disgusting and unacceptable. Food safety and ingredient handling should be taken seriously. We will not be coming back.

The restaurant is super spacious and the menu has A LOT of options! I had a great experience ordering pickup. As soon as I submitted my order an employee called to confirm it, and I was able to give them my estimated arrival time. They had my order packed and ready right when I walked in, which made pickup super easy. The food was delicious! I ordered the liang pi and pork burger, which is one of my favorite combos. The liang pi was refreshing and paired really well with the savory pork burger. I'd highly recommend getting both if you're looking for a good combo, or just getting the liang pi if you're craving something refreshing. Overall, I really enjoyed my food and would definitely come back to try more items from their huge menu! read more

I got the cold noodles and the shrimp fried rice here and both were so good, the fried rice was perfectly cooked and wasnt too oily read more
Stumbled upon this place while looking for a spot to grab dinner with some friends. It was one of the best decisions that we have made. Plenty of parking with very friendly and helpful staff. Very cozy and spacious place to eat and catch up with friends/family. QR code/physical menus available at the tables with a wide variety of food options to select from. My friends opted for their beef noodle soup, while I opted for their Biang Biang Noodles and Chinese Beef Burger. The beef burger was slightly dry and underseasoned. The noodles, on the other hand, were mind-blowing with flavor and texture. The main star of the show was definitely their Biang Biang Noodles, which had such an amazing flavor that made me wanting more. With such a positive experience with their noodles, I would definitely like to ty their Liang Pi next time. Unfortunately, their were sold out at the time we arrived. Recommend to anyone craving noodles around the Ontario area! They, also, have a few other locations elsewhere. read more

Anytime I see braised beef noodle soup anywhere, especially with hand pulled noodles, it's something that I must try. Every place makes it different and sometimes I crave one version and sometimes I crave another. Changan has great noodles! Great bite and texture. The soup is good, more chili oil forward if you get the spicy version. I didn't think it was very spicy. read more

I loved this place and was my go to place for the #17. Stir fry pork belly. I ordered it today and had to send it back cause it was over cooked. Went back and they made me a new one and the flavor was on point but something was off and I finally realized what it was. The place is going cheap on the meat! The pork belly in the past was not to thin and not to thick. Now they are slicing it razor thin and it totally throws the dish off. It's like chewing on small bits of leather. I'm going to give it one more try but if it's like this the next, I'm done and never returning. I hate when restaurants get cheap, it ruins the whole dish! read more

I went again on a 4th of July around 2pm. One of the server approached us with water and plates right away just like my first time. The teriyaki chicken looks like orange chicken but it was still tasty because I personally like fried food. Sauteed spicy chicken noodles was extremely good. If I go again next time for this dish, i would ask for more sauce. One downside this time for the dock of star is because we did not have a refill in water, nor did we have a jug. It took us awhile to wave down someone for the bill and a box. They only had one person serving and bussing while another seem to only be doing drinks. Not disappointing for my second time visiting! Rainy days need noodles! We were heading to Arcadia but the rain was pounding pretty hard during our one rain storm a year. So we decided to find a place a little closer. Stumbled upon this restaurant I didn't even know existed. Off the 10 fwy exit Miliken. Next to luxe buffet tucked in the corner. Parking wasn't too bad but maybe on a busier day you'd have to find parking a little further. Walking in it felt modern and clean. Nice comfortable seating, the big windows brighten the whole ambiance. Very welcoming and friendly. They were attentive to our needs and made our visit enjoyable. Chili oils and sauces at the table. Menu had a lot of options that made it hard to decide. Giving it a try for the first time we were pleasantly surprised. The water has a nice delicate flavor to it. Delicious food and adding that chili oil made it bump up with smoky spice. The giant bowl of soup had so much sustenance. On the thicker side sort of like an egg drop consistency. Their cumin spicy lamb burger was excellent! The Liang Pi noodles were nice and flavorful. No boxes needed here. The hubby was on a rampage and finished what I couldn't. 5/5 for N20. Next time, I would order this along with a bowl of rice for 2 people. The lamb was very flavorful with a strong cumin taste. The handmade noodles were excellent. They had a satisfying thickness and texture, which allowed them to absorb the sauce perfectly. There was plenty of sauce, definitely enough to share with some rice. IS20 is definitely a dish meant to be shared by more than two people. It was huge and loaded with toppings and fish. The fish texture was a bit like frozen fish--too soft and slightly mushy, in my opinion. The soup tasted very flavorful. I would come back. read more

Stopped by on Saturday, 04/06/24 for the first time with my parents. We dined in and ordered the following: - 1 Fried Noodles (Beef) = $13.99 - 1 Fried Rice (Beef) = $12.99 - 1 Sweet Potato Vermicelli Soup with Seafood = $15.99 SUBTOTAL = $42.97 TAX = $3.76 TOTAL = $46.73 ** Added $10 tip in cash **, so overall total = $56.73 Minimal wait time - we were seated quickly upon entering. There were a of people dining in despite the B ranking. We personally enjoyed our meal and portions are generous. We took our leftovers to go. Very affordable and worth the try. read more

I've been here twice, and I have to say service is a little biased. I noticed that service for non-asian patrons is a little better than if you're asian. Take that however you want. The food is pretty good and has the authentic flavors I look for when I come here. It's nice to have an option for not americanized Chinese food. I got the tomato egg handpulled noodles- because I wanted some simple home cooked-type of dish and it was good but slightly too salty for me. The preserved egg tofu appetizer was super cold- almost frozen, which confused me, but it was tossed in a sauce that was very good, but probably not for everyone. Overall I would come back and try more authentic dishes from them. read more
I'll have to say that these five stars can represent the amount of times I've been here already. The location is a bit hard to find, but once inside, there's plenty of seating to choose from and the service is very attentive. The restaurant is always nice to visit whether it's night or day. I've been here multiple times in the past couple of months and I have to say my top dishes are the "Biang Biang" noodles. I've gotten this three times and each time is as good as the first. The hand-tossed chewy noodles do not compare to other Chinese noodle places because these have my favorite texture and flavor with all of the spices. As for the other delicious dishes, the burger was interesting, the pan fried buns are a classic must order, and the slow braised beef noodle soup delicious and are pretty well portioned. The price is very generous for the meal you receive. I can say that I will be looking for this place when I crave a noodle soup in the future. read more

Most of the food here is spicy but I liked everything. I had their hand ripped noodles with stewed pork. It was delicious. Their mapo tofu was not bad, very oily that it leaked through the to-go bag. The non spicy item I had that was also good is their jing dong meat pie. They forgot to give me some sauce for it! read more
