Back in the day we use to have what were called Ice Cream Parlors. Big restaurant size places where you could go and get your fill of all kinds of ice cream concoctions. Banana Splits, Sundaes and shakes. Farrell's comes to mind for you old timers. Now that we are all so much more health conscious these places have gone the route of the travel agent. My grandkids wanted Fro Yo to which I said Fro No! We are getting real ice cream. I tracked down Nobibi in Eastvale. Lots of variety of ice cream dishes and apparently you can get milk ice cream and some other kind. I zoned out so I don't know what the other type is and I don't care to know. My granddaughter wanted the Strawberry Blush. Lucky for me she is a tiny 6 year old girl so I got to eat the majority of the Strawberry Blush. It was delicious. It had Poke sticks, strawberry slices, crunchy strawberry things and Frosted Flakes which was a nice touch. It was awesome. The staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, was no greeting, and the atmosphere almost made it feel like customers were an inconvenience. I came here on a weekday afternoon but left a bit disappointed, finding it not as good (but still enjoyable) as the locations I've tried in Fullerton and Buena Park. It's located in the spacious Cravings food hall next to 99 Ranch. There is a self-order kiosk at the counter to place your order. I guess all orders should be placed there as the woman working saw me at the counter but didn't approach me. I did my usual order - Brown Sugar Dalgona Coffee and Biscoff Ice Cream. She made my order and brought it to the counter within a couple minutes. The food hall was nearly empty so there were plenty of open tables to sit at and dig into these treats. I made a slight error in choosing soft-serve chocolate ice cream rather than vanilla. The vanilla is definitely a better flavor choice for the Biscoff Ice Cream. There was barely any caramel sauce and the little, sweet cornflakes that give it a fun crunch were all buried at the bottom. The Biscoff cookie was plunged into the top of the ice cream and a good sprinkling of crumbled cookie was also on top. I just didn't think the toppings were layered as well as I've experienced at other locations. The Brown Sugar Dalgona Coffee was not very sweet at all; in fact, it was borderline bitter. I'm not sure if it is because this was more of an Asian food court, so not as sweet, or if it was an error. Or possibly I did something wrong while ordering on the kiosk? It was "okay" but it reinforced my preference to order directly with a human rather than use a kiosk. I felt they ruined one of my favorite drinks; I'd never order this again at this location. One of my favorite ice cream shops has a location in Eastvale (where I live). This is a lot closer which is good and bad. Good because I can get some really good ice cream and bad because it's so close. It's located next to Ranch 99 marker in the Cravings food court. Ordering is easy and done at the tablet. This was a nice little treat for myself to conclude my "me time" today. There was a line of people standing here waiting to be helped, but they proceeded to pick up their orders. After a couple of minutes, I noticed that all orders were taken via an iPad kiosk at the front. I wasn't thinking to look at the screen that said "Order Here." So that was my "duh" moment for the day. Ordering and payment was a breeze on the iPad. There was only one employee working but she was hustling behind the counter knocking out orders. It only took a couple minutes for my ice cream to be ready. I opted for the S'mores with chocolate ice cream and it totally hit the spot. Busiest place in here was Nobibi. Evidently a lot of these places is place your order on the machine. Cool concept, only thing is its not very user friendly. For example, I wanted the ninja ice cream which was a black ice cream on a black cone. Looks super cool. When I placed the order it gave me the choice of ice cream (milk, chocolate, pistachio, etc.). I didnt see the option for black ice cream. So when it came out it was green cuz it was pistachio. It was still good, but it wasn't the black one like I wanted. Could've easily been fixed if someone was at the counter to take.my order. Secondly the other ice creams I ordered were already melting by the time I got them. They said it was due to the boba pearls melting the ice cream. They seemed really busy and they told us that they were out of their egg puffle and the cotton candy. It was late so we get it. We ordered ourselves from the kiosk while the one staff member took care of other people's orders. One of my friends ordered the Brown Sugar Boba Cup ($6.99) but later after payment they said they were out of something, so they replaced it with the Ninja ($6.49) which she didn't like too much at all. Also we didn't get a refund for the difference. My other friend ordered the Red Bean and Taro ($6.99) where she was able to pick what kind of soft serve she wanted and she picked mango and something swirled... but of course they called us back over to tell us they didn't have whatever soft serve flavor my friend picked and she ended up with the vanilla soft serve. My order was the only one that didn't have any problems. I got the Biscoff Ice Cream ($6.99) which all of us really enjoyed since we were sharing everything. Definitely something I would consider getting again in the future. The staff felt bad for all of the things they ran out prior to us ordering and after we paid, so they made us an egg puffle to share as compensation. It was a nice gesture that we appreciated. Avoid coming too late or they may be out of many many things. Also prepare to wait cause staffing on the weekday seems minimal. read more

If I could give less than one star I would, I came in a little earlier than 850 and there was no line. There was a girl working there dark hair shorter with a flower clip that was rude from the start. She had an attitude, and when we asked her about the menu, she replied by refusing us anything other than ice cream? Which why as a business are you refusing people your product before you're posted close time? I came with a group of three and would have spent over $30 at this establishment and they missed out on that.
