Finally able to check this place out. Been seeing it on social media and finally made my way out here with the kiddos. Wanted to see what it was all about. The parking is a decent size. Two tables outside to dine on if you want to eat there & a few bar stool seating inside as well. The vibes inside were cute and matched their theme. Kind of dark since majority of the place is painted black so pictures inside didn't turn out so nice unless you had it at a good angle near the window but I wasn't really here to take pictures, I was really here to try what they're offering. Donuts: The donuts are pretty, that's for sure. Plenty of options and donuts I think ranged in pricing depending on the specialty level. The ones we got range from $4-$7. We got half a dozen donuts along with breakfast items & coffee to try. We got the ube mochi, hello kitty character, unicorn, Banana Pudding, Oreo and Nutella donuts to try. The design are very eye catching for sure. Donuts are nice and fluffy and packed with flavors. Kids really enjoyed them. They're a bit pricey and not something you can regularly buy in this type of economy on a daily basis. To me, they're fun to buy for special occasions and that's probably what we'll do for birthdays or events. For the food, we got a PD breakfast burrito. They offered to cut it in half. The burrito itself is already $16. They asked if we wanted to add cheese or avocado. I was curious and did it. We added cheese and avocado at an extra cost to it. Cheese was $1 and Avocado was $2.50. Extra salsa was 51 cents. It's the size of my hand and a hefty looking burrito. At that point, it's really a questionable choice of why am I spending almost $20 on a burrito.. Haha but it was a decent burrito but in the end, everything was an extra cost after the initial order of the item. Would I buy it again? No. Was it worth it? Not really. But definitely good to try if you are craving a breakfast burrito and don't mind the price. Drinks: We ordered the Ube Vietnamese coffee and Sea Salt Cold Brew. We added an extra shot to the cold brew. The cold brew was good. The Ube Vietnamese coffee was good too. It's a premade coffee drink and not customizable. It's more on the sweeter end than a traditional Vietnamese coffee. I usually like it not as sweet but it was the combo that I was curious about and went with it. Good flavors. Wished the coffee was a bit more bolder for the Vietnamese coffee part but it's not bad. Service was nice and friendly. Everyone was very approachable and I appreciated the explanations and recommendations while deciding.
Fancy donuts. Lots of selection. Good service. Dark atmosphere (black walls). Each fancy donut is 550 and the normal ones are 350 I don't love the location but the kids had a good experience
Since I was in the area, I decided to stop by here and pick up some donuts to enjoy at home with my daughters. It's pretty hard to miss their building, it stands out for sure! There's ample parking and even a drive thru! I was tempted to use the drive thru, but I wanted to see all these donuts! They are truly works of art! I walked in and was a little worried because it was packed! But I noticed everyone was already enjoying their orders and I was greeted by the employees and made my way to the front where there was no line! I opted for a pack of 6 fancy donuts. I got churro, strawberry funnel cake, Dubai chocolate, strawberry cheesecake, s'mores, and Creme brûlée. Our favorites were the Dubai chocolate, s'mores, and strawberry cheesecake! Everything was fabulous! The prices are pretty high, but these donuts are gorgeous and very tasty. Definitely worth it if you want to treat yourself!

Here's what we tried: mochi donuts in Vietnamese coffee, ube, matcha, and churro, plus the Strawberry Hello Kitty and strawberry funnel cake. Everything was delicious. For drinks, we got the Vietnamese iced coffee and the Ube Vietnamese coffee--both were great!

Upon coming in for my first pickup order, one of the workers gave me a complimentary donut for me to try since the donuts I bought were a gift to someone! The donut was very delicious and I ended up getting a coffee which was amazing as well. I love ordering the Vietnamese Iced Coffee from here because it hits every time. Love this place!
I tried the Minecraft and the Crème Brûlée donuts. I expected the Crème Brûlée donut to capture that classic flavor, but the cream filling was quite bland. On the positive side, the hard-torched sugar topping was excellent, and the donut itself was a satisfying size. However, it just didn't feel worth the $6.50 price tag. The Minecraft donut was decent, though the icing lacked any distinct flavor beyond being sweet. Overall, these donuts feel a bit overpriced for the quality.
To be fair, that was a decent breakfast burrito but it had so many ways it could've been a bit better. I liked the scrambled eggs, but it seemed the ratio was off. There seemed to be more eggs than anything else. Me not paying for cheese threw the balance way off. I just couldn't do it. Of a lot of things, paying $16 for a breakfast burrito and not getting cheese with it, is the biggest red flag here. The meats were fine though. The bacon could've used a bit more breaking, but otherwise they were good. The same with the hash browns. They were okay but not great. I recently had another $16 breakfast burrito and I know what of that burrito made it worth it. Painted Dough does none of that for me. At most to me this is like $11 or $12 burrito, had it had cheese. Without the cheese this is like a $10 burrito. The space was okay as a place to order. No tables inside makes it a place I would never eat inside of. Only offering standing counters insides sends a clear message you don't like your customers to congregate inside your establishment. Even the smallest donut shop that's successful has some indoor tables. That's another weird thing about this place. Saying you have to take your food outside to sit down to eat it is a bit like saying you don't care about the eating experience being ideal. To me, enjoying a good meal is all about being able to eat it at the food joint at a table as soon as I get it--inside. About the only great thing here is that the service. The counter folks were helpful and fast. But without the other points I mentioned as being the minimum of a good place to eat it--value for your money, a place to relish your meal at your own pace, and the food being something you crave--this place is only decent but not memorable.
Had the best experience here! First timer but not our last. We ordered donuts, coffee, and a breakfast burrito. They have everything! From cold brew, coffee (hot/iced), tea, breakfast, donuts, etc. they have specialty donuts even one with a hot wheels car on it!!!! Ugh, the best place ever! Can't wait to come again
It was our first time inside and Mia was helped us out. She was so patience with my indecisiveness. She was able to answer all my questions regarding flavors. They have a ton to select from. Mochi donut texture is spot on but not sure how long they have been sitting for there isn't that fresh crisp outside I'm use to. It was just soft with perfect amount of chew. Homer Simpson -donut itself was just as expected. Surprisingly the glaze paired well with the donut, I expected it to be too sweet but it wasn't. Just a hint of strawberry flavor. Taro Mochi -my favorite out of the few I had. Heavy taro flavor which I prefer. Ube Mochi -very very similar to Taro but much more sweeter. It was way too sweet in my opinion. Raspberry Pistachio Mochi -quite aesthetic pleasing but glaze is only raspberry flavor and sprinkled over top a few pistachios. On the sweeter side as well. Glazed Mochi -glaze was crispy and quite sweet.
So glad we stopped to get something sweet and this place came up. Right around the corner from our place. The ambience was cool they have stools near the window where we enjoyed the most moist delicate donuts. The Dubai was incredible, it was smothered with the pistachio cream and knafeh. Honestly over board with flavor in a good way. This place is dangerous. The staff were very helpful and don't get me wrong the mochi was just as good we had the matcha and the strawberry shortcake. 10/10
Every thing I have tried is good. My kids love it and the flavors are so good. The service has always been top notch and the inside is so cool looking. A bit pricey but worth it. I definitely recommend getting the bacon maple. The bacon is magic
There is some high top seating inside to eat, but the place is pretty small. We got a dozen different donuts and the staff were very patient with us. Firstly, the mochi donuts here are unlike any other. They are much more mochi like, than other places like mochi hut, and are so satisfying to eat. The flavors also taste exactly like what is being advertised; taro was my favorite. The normal donuts were also great, soft and had a great yeasty structure to them. My favorite was the banana pudding, filled with real, non jello mix, pudding lol. This is a great place with lots of variety. I highly recommend.

Painted Dough is where the cool kids go. Seriously, the logo & artwork are awesome. My darling girls brought me here for the store's 10-year anniversary celebration. Congrats! In addition to 10 years in business, Painted Dough has been voted as having the Best Fancy Donuts, Mochi Donuts, & Vegan Donuts in California. Danny (owner) is obviously doing something right. (Breakfast burritos & Vietnamese Iced Coffee are also a hit.) The staff here are all friendly and most days Danny is here to greet his customers. We got a variety of donuts to share: Matcha Mochi, Vietnamese Ice Coffee Mochi, Vegan Chocolate Sprinkles, Strawberry Funnel Cake, and Hello Kitty (of course). The base of the Strawberry Funnel Cake tasted like a funnel cake. Topped with strawberry pie filling and whipped cream, it brought back childhood memories. The Vietnamese Ice Coffee Mochi had a nice consistency - soft & chewy and the glaze had a subtle coffee flavor. The Vegan Chocolate Sprinkles was a moist cake donut covered with a chocolate glaze & sprinkles. I would have never guessed it was Vegan. It was good. The Hello Kitty was a yeast donut. Fluffy & soft with a pink glaze. I liked that it was garnished with a wearable Hello Kitty ring and a keepsake figurine. I'm happy to report that these fun, creative donuts taste as good as they look. I can understand why people travel here to get their sugar fix. Homer Simpson would approve. read more

Painted Dough is such a gem! They have an amazing variety of donuts, drinks, and burritos that really hit the spot. We were lucky enough to meet the owner during our visit, and he was so kind--he even surprised us with free mochi donuts alongside our order! I'm definitely coming back for those mochi donuts--they're the real deal: soft, chewy, and perfectly authentic, not the "hipster" imitation kind where there's no actual chewiness. We tried the PD Burrito and the chorizo egg burrito--both were hearty, piping hot, and packed with flavor. The crème brûlée donut was absolutely incredible, with a crisp sugar shell and soft, fluffy dough that truly tasted just like a proper crème brûlée. I'm a sucker for crème brûlée, and this one really delivered! The banana pudding was smooth and not overly sweet, and the strawberry funnel cake added a fun fruity touch. We also got their Thai tea and strawberry lychee drinks--both were light, refreshing, and balanced in sweetness. Everything together came to around $60-70 for three donuts, two burritos, and two drinks, which can add up! Parking was easy and abundant. I also enjoyed their dark branding design with some touch of neon lights. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu. read more
I've been wanting to try this place because their iced coffee drinks look so good! I finally bit the bullet today and ordered for delivery. I decided to go with the a breakfast burrito and an iced Ube Vietnamese coffee. The breakfast burrito was huge. It came with eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and bacon. This is definitely enough to share, or in my case, save for tomorrow's breakfast! The burrito was good, just your standard breakfast burrito, but the salsa took it to the next level. The salsa was very tasty and had a nice kick to it! Next time I will ask for an extra one. The Ube Vietnamese coffee is a Vietnamese iced coffee topped with Ube sweet cream cold foam. The flavors went really well together! This is definitely a sweet drink, but the bold flavor of the coffee shines through. Would definitely pick up good and drinks from here again. read more

We made a quick stop for some doughnuts. Their menu was extensive with too many options for drinks, doughnuts, and savory sandwiches. It was a bit overwhelming trying to understand their menu. They have 3 different types of doughnuts (cake doughnuts, mochi doughnuts, and specialty donuts). I wanted to do mix and match but she informed me that theyre going to be charged individually and wont be able to get a deal on the dozen price. I eventually just got a 1/2 dozen of their mochi doughnut. I got the ube, taro, raspberry, pistachio, biscoff, and Vietnamese coffee flavors. The mochi doughnut was way too sweet. It was overwhelming with sugar and the texture of the dough was a bit too soft for my liking. I do like my doughnuts a bit crispier with a crunchy outside and soft on the inside. The mochi was too soft and chewy and was difficult to tear apart. None of the flavors stuck out to me and didnt leave me wanting more. Also, pay attention to what they're charging you!! The cashier tried to charge me $33 for a dozen doughnuts when i only got half dozen. When i pointed out to her, she was like "oh, your total is now $18"....no apology or seemed unapologetic. read more

This place is so cute and trendy. Donuts are fluffy and not too doughy. The mochi do aura are also good. The service was quick and good. They are a bit pricey which is expected since they have specialty donuts. The prices are similar to specialty donut shops. read more

Tried Painted Dough for the 1st time. I ordered Ube doughnut, strawberry funnel cake doughnut and Dubai chocolate doughnut. Also ordered Thai tea to drink. Ube was nice and soft very tasty. Funnel cake doughnut had powder on it like a funnel cake and the doughnut had the taste and consistency of a funnel cake. Did taste like a strawberry funnel cake but in doughnut form. The dubai chocolate is a chocolate doughnut with Dubai chocolate in the middle. First time have Dubai chocolate and it was magnificent, crunch delicious chocolate. Service was outstanding and welcoming. Cool interior. Doughnuts are a bit pricey so be prepared if you visit. The Dubai was 8.50. read more
I have visited twice now and both times have been pleasant. Service is friendly and food is delicious! I ordered a half dozen of the mochi donuts and a sausage egg and cheese sandwich. The donuts tasted fresh and the sandwich was made to order. There was an issue with my sandwich missing the cheese but once I let them know it was quickly corrected! The inside of the establishment is clean and tidy and the ambiance is welcoming. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you are in the area, although it is pricey I think the service and quality of product warrants the price. read more

I came in here the other day with my friend Ana to get some donuts for a treat for my nurses as well as for my daughter to bring to her boyfriends place for a family dinner. Ordered a dozen to split between us all. At work we all enjoyed dividing them up and trying all the flavors. The Dubai chocolate was a hit as was the churro. I got the hello kitty one and hot wheels for my daughter and her boyfriend and the little prize on top was fun. The pricing is confusing and ridiculous LOL but they were probably still the best donuts I'd ever had in my life. read more

Came for the gluten free mochi donuts and was NOT disappointed - WOW!! And not just a flavor or two - like 10??? Just an incredible texture and not too sweet either (I know how crazy that sounds). Probably going back today before I leave town - ALSO very nice people read more

My kids have been DYING to try this place. So I finally caved and took them in for a donut to share. They have many different varieties of donut, including Mochi donuts and various other filled donuts and specialty donuts. I opted for the crème brûlée donut, while the kiddos shared and special blue glazed donut with rainbow candy and whipped frosting clouds. It was cute I will say. For 2 donuts it ran us $12. Great service and a fun experience for my kids. read more

I was having a bad day and wanted a small treat, the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the tray with their hot-wheels donuts, and that by itself made my day a lot better, the donut was freshly amassing and very soft, their mochi donuts are a must and the service girl was simply lovely. And I would be back for more tasty and fresh treats! read more
I haven't been to the location but got these when they were vendors at the Loma Linda Sunday market. The donuts were good. We got 2 that were mochi donuts. We thought one of the reg donuts had fills in it but it's just toppings. We also ordered drinks too. If you have a real sweet tooth and you are wanting to try them out, go for it! read more

Wow the donuts were delicious. They are definitely on the more expensive side but I think for special occasions they're totally worth it. Some people wrote how bad their customer service was but I had a pleasant experience with them. The only thing that was not tasty was the matcha latte, probably the worst matcha latte I've ever had. But the donuts were delicious, they look super sweet but they actually weren't at all. One thing I would suggest they change is the frosting color on their hot wheels donut, I think slime green looks pretty unappealing, maybe go with a red, orange, or even bright blue. Overrated and a bit overpriced, not gonna lie. I came to Painted Dough after my husband got a recommendation from a coworker. The place is small inside, and it's not meant for you to stay and enjoy your coffee and donuts. The inside is pretty cool--very vibrant and different. I can see how it might be attractive to some. Donuts are displayed neatly and categorized by classic (cheap), mochi (expensive), and then their specialty donuts (MORE expensive), which is appreciated. For our visit, we ordered one dozen mochi donuts. I've had mochi donuts before, so I knew what to expect in terms of texture and all that. On the side, we ordered one of those pricerrr Oreo donuts, five drinks, and a chorizo burrito. That total was hella pricey, tbh, and not everyone in my party enjoyed their drinks. I ordered their Vietnamese coffee, and it was super nutty--I couldn't finish it. The donuts were also kind of sad because they were super oily. The oil seeped through the box by the time we got home, and even the next day, they were still oily. The taste wasn't terrible, but the texture wasn't great for a mochi donut, in my opinion. The only good thing we ordered was the chorizo burrito. BUT--you have to pay extra for hashbrowns and cheese, so that adds up real quick. I only come here once in a blue moon because of how expensive it is. OH and the service isn't the most welcoming. They were almost bothered that we were trying to figure out their menu and took a bit to order. They should def work on being a bit more personable and warm mostly with those prices. read more
