We chose the toffee cake with salted caramel icing. The cake was delivered as expected on time and looked like the picture. The cake was a bit difficult to slice but we were deliberate in selecting a cake to feed 64 people and didn't want to pay extra for a 2nd layer cake. Unfortunately, in situations like this--especially when it involves custom orders and time-sensitive events--some sort of confirmation system or follow-up would go a long way in preventing exactly this kind of issue.
