I specifically went for conchas and I'm so glad I found this place. Very small unassuming spot but once you enter you'll realize quickly that you're in the presence of some good Mexican bread! Freshly out-of-the-oven pastries that are cooling down in multiple racks in the center of the small bakery will greet you as you enter. The aroma of fresh bread and sugar had my mouth watering for some pan dulce and I instantly wanted coffee. Many of the patrons were purchasing multiple boxes worth of bread. I picked out a dozen and paid cash. Quick staff. There was a kind man who helped me out with some bread I wasn't familiar with and he told me "this is the best place for pan dulce" lol. Walked in here and you can just smell the fresh breads baking . I never knew this was here until someone from work told me about it. It's a small panaderia and the breads here are fresh to death. You might miss it if you're driving down on Mission blvd , it's literally in the corner of the strip mall. The Conchas are , I'm guessing the money maker here. When I was in the store trays of hot Conchas were being placed on the rack for you to grab. And the Concha's were so good, fluffy , moist and warm. They also have Tamales, they're good but I've had better , and I wouldn't mind buying them again. I would definitely be back for some fresh Mexican sweet breads. They do take other payments other than cash which is a plus . I didn't take any pics because I ate those warm breads fast haha nextime. read more

Tried this place out as I'm looking for a bolillo spot that's local. Inside the place looked clean, you have to use a disposable glove they provide to grab your bread selections. Apart from that it's a pretty standard panadería. Bolillo mexicano -taste 4/5 -size medium to large -crunchy crust level 2/5 -warm= no -price= .50 cents Pan dulce (various types) -taste 5/5 -size medium/average -warm= no -price= $$ not sure if I was overcharged by accident but I calculated that each piece was around $2 I will be returning as their pastries are delicious and better than local markets. Just wish the bolillo could have had a bit more crunch on the outside, hopefully I get lucky next time and catch them warm when they're fresh out. read more

OK, so we rarely eat bread or cakes but got cravings reading a FB post and went to Camacho's. They are literally down the street from us. The bread and cakes we tried were delicious but the tamales were only so so. I haven't been able to find Mexico City style pan francés, the hard rolls that make great tortas or just go well with butter. Their pan francés were the right size and shape, but were as soft as bolillos. read more

We're here for the bollios and conchitas, first time! The bakery's kinda tucked away; we walked in and the lady was putting bread away. It's different here - you grab a plastic bag and gloves. Then I asked where to get them at ? she said they were 2$ and turned away again. I feel if they would just greet their customers as they're walking in , they would have so many more customers. Moved out here. My favorite spot was in Wilmington CA but when in the Ontario area this place is so good. Concha bread is soft and I need to stop going there because I'm slowly trying each item and it's all been so soft and fresh! Love the vibe. The place has decent bread. The problem is they claim to sell out of their tamales very early. I've been in there at 5:30, 7 or 8am and they're gone. I doubt they're making enough. Never catch them and the staff doesn't offer to preorder either. But yet they have dozens and dozens of bread out on cooling racks as late as 10am. read more

I used to love going to buy Mexican sweet bread at this bakery. Unfortunately since June 2024, but I no longer care to go for my bread there. They have a cashier there that is the most horrible person with zero customer service manners. I reported an incident with the owner and again today October 23 , I went to pick up some bread. Same horrible cashier was there. I walked in and saw there were no plastic bags to place the bread in. There were no trays and no boxes. I took a clean cardboard drink tray and placed the bread in it. The cashier was in the back avoiding to see me. All of a sudden she came out and saw I had the bread on the cardboard tray and started raiding her voice and scolding me saying " that's not what those trays are for!!, I then said, "well what do you want me to use?" , she then pointed to where the bags usually are, but the long piece of metal was empty. I said "it's empty and several of us are here with no bags, should we bring bags from home? ". She then slammed the roll of bags into the metal dispenser . I then went to pay and she wouldn't even look at me and was so angry that she charged me a total of $69.20 for 7 pieces of bread. I saw from the beginning that she was charging wrong amounts, but said nothing to her. She got even more irritated and had to start charging for the bread all over again. I called the bakery manager but she did not answer. I left a voice mail asking for a call back, to discuss this individual's bad attitude. If I don't get an answer, I will be going into the bakery in person tomorrow. read more
