I ordered one chicken red tamale. It was good. Also got some pan dulce/sweet bread. I picked several different types I don't know the names of the breads. Each bread had a different flavor. They were really good - like the baker knows what they're doing -good quality ingredients. As far as the service a- hello would be nice. But i didn't feel unwelcome like other reviewers . Mixed feelings about this bakery.. sweet bread is one of the best to be quite honest, their menudo however is not. I ordered their menudo for the first time let me just say it was the most revolting foul smelling menudo I've ever come across. Did the taste test and it failed miserably the disgustful smell overpowered their menudo! Save yourself the headache, you're better off with canned at this point. read more

One of the best breakfast spots, The Tortas de bistec are fire, and the Menudo is Good, they also have good tamales.

Great little spot, stopped in for some tamales and they were huge and tasty. Bakery itself everything looked fresh. Clean, good prices.

To me, a family bakery is something to cherish. they are beautiful, desserts, and everything you can ask for, the service is so family, friendly, and so sweet. You just have to be patient because these times people don't have any way to work with them but they are very nice family and what me and my boyfriend enjoy especially is there tamales . The lady in the front is rude !! She makes you never want to come buy bread here.. she asked what tamales I wanted I said green and she said there is only red I'm like why ask then?? They have bread in the front that's not for sale on decoration and they take cash only!! So be prepared to have her to tell you rudely to walk your ass to the donut shop. I've been twice and each time, flies around landing on the baked items. The door is left wide open each visit which is understandable I suppose, it's a small family owned place. I visit this place for tamales and my second visit will be my last. Basically the tamales I bought were trash, no flavor and minimal filling, literally trash. Very true the lady behind the counter in the mornings is not very polite or friendly. But the owner and his wife are super friendly people. Also every time I have ordered a Carne asada or Chille Relleno burrito, they are always awesome each and every time. The Vitamin Drinks made fresh are super healthy and delicious. Food prices are very reasonable, especially considering the size. I tried a pork tamale the other day, pretty good:-) Also the ladies behind the counter in the evenings are very friendly and helpful. Bakery Del Bajio hands down has the best tamales! Not a fan of the cheese but all the others; chicken, beef, pork yummm! I've learned that tamales do not hold well so, eat them hot if you can. I didn't ask this time but I should've, not sure if they still have salsa for the tamales. I am dissatisfied with the quality of bread they provide. That bakery has been there at least in 15 years and some bread displayed in the dispensers is days old. I asked for bolillos and the man brought it out from the back already in a bag. He asked how many I wanted but made sure I don't see them first. When I asked why he didn't keep that bread out in the front, he said because "people thought it a lot". I responded: well it's terrible when you get home and the bread is hard! His reply: "my bread lasts three days" I thought, okay then they keep bread out dispensed up to three days and we take it home, lasting only 1 more day, because it been out for three already‍ Not going back. My husband tried the Menudo a few weeks ago. Said the lady Cashier was a bit rude but he bought his food anyway. I went back again to get some menudo and tamales. As I walked in being the 4th person in the bakery the cashier starts yelling only 4 customers at a time. No politeness at all. I notice a couple came in after me but the cashier was charging 2 other customers so they figured they would leave soon. I asked if they had menudo and noticed a sign that said cash only. The tamales are amazing To those complaining about the tamales not being y'all keep buying the pocho tamales then but these are definitely it. This place was recommended to have delicious tamales. I ate two pork tamales and unfortunately most of the sauce was missing on both. What sauce there was, was all lumped in one corner but it was missing so much sauce as you can see from the pictures it almost looked and tasted like chicken instead of pork. More like Carnitas tamales just not roasted and toasty. I really wanted to like these and tasted them before I even added crema con sal but unfortunately these missed the mark. The masa was dry, hard and not very flavorful. Perhaps it was just a bad day. I'm not rushing all the way to Ontario for these again any time soon.
