Great Local Bakery With Fresh Bread & Friendly Service I was visiting my mom in Upland and was looking for a bakery when I came across this spot. The reviews were great, and now I see why. I went on a Friday, apparently their busiest day so a lot of items were already sold out, which is always a good sign. I picked up some Hawaiian rolls and a sourdough loaf, and they even sliced the bread for me right there. When we tried everything at home... wow. So fresh and delicious! They also offered some sandwich rolls that I'm excited to try next time. This is a small, family-owned bakery tucked away in a quiet strip mall, and they offer a nice variety: rolls, sourdough, bagels (the jalapeño cheese bagel is on my list for next visit), and more. They even make custom orders like numbers or bread rings for parties. They accept credit cards and Zelle (no tap or Apple Pay), and parking is easy. Fantastic local bakery in Upland! No nonsense simple shop. You walk in, pick bread and leave. Service is pretty good. The cashier helped me decide on a couple loaves after I told them what I was making. Super helpful. It took a second to get their attention and it seems the bakers are fully focused on bread but can't complain when the bread is great! Service 8/10. Food: Sourdough round. Theirs is a softer crust, dense crumb sourdough. It's thick, chewy, and carries a good tang. Don't expect an airy and glutenous dough but expect a darn tasty one. 9/10. Cranberry walnut round. A weekend special apparently. It is delicious, carrying the same tang from the regular loaf, a thicker crust, and a ridiculous amount of both walnut and cranberry. It is not a shy loaf. Basically sourdough+ 9/10. Cheddar Jalapeño bagel. Duuuuuude what in the world. Okay get off your high horse once you get here from the east coast. This bagel does not have the same crust and chew. But it is a great item. It does have a great chew on the exterior, snappy and bouncy. The dough is perfectly fluffy. And the taste. The taste! I'm didn't need any spreads and didn't last the drive home. Didn't even remember to snag a picture till it was nearly gone. FULL of cheddar and jalapeño flavor. Highly recommend. read more

Wow! What a hidden gem! Who knew? I was recommended or I would have never noticed this wonderful, family owned bakery right next to Stout House on 9th in Upland. Delicious breads, bagels, & more. They bake for all the quality eating places I already frequent. Hint: go early (they open at 7:00 a.m.) They sell out fast of some of their specialty baked goods. A little bread heaven tucked in a commercial area off 9th St. You can smell the fresh baked bread all around the block in the mornings. Reminds me of the old Wonder bread factory (if you know, you know). I have been here a few times within the past couple of months and always leave with a bag of fresh bagels. The everything and jalapeño-cheese varieties are my favorites. The Hawaiian rolls are also nice and fluffy that I use to accompany my dinner with. I highly recommend coming here when they open as they sell out quick. You get high quality baked goods at great prices. They also take phone orders to ensure you get the bread you're craving. The ladies who have assisted me are friendly, always willing to answer my questions. They are also fast at packing and slicing the bread. A must try place in Upland! I was looking for loaves to make bread soup bowls and finding round ones are slim pickings at your regular markets. I had to go here where I found huge round sourdough loaves that would be perfect. The store smells so good when you walk in, and all the bread choices look immaculate. The lady at the counter was nice and she let me know that they take special orders when you call ahead (at least a day in advance). It was early Saturday morning as I waited in line. Many regular customers chatting & picking up their orders. The staff was friendly & extremely efficient. Beautiful sourdough breads were displayed & the aroma definitely made me hungry! I was looking for fresh bagels. They had different ones but I came for the sesame seed bagel. Finally tried this place out today and I am so glad I did. Finding a good bagel in the IE is a challenge and this place was recommended to me by someone who said their bagels were really good. Arrived around 7:15am. Walked in and the place smelled great. At first glance there were no bagels but when I asked they said they did have bagels and wheeled them out as they had been freshly baked. There were a variety of choices: sesame, poppy, everything, jalapeno cheddar. I was told if you call a day in advance they can prepare the bagels that you want to pick up. Went with a few different varieties. I told the person who helped me that this was my first time coming out here and they were so happy and they gave me a free baguette! Prices are quite reasonable. $1.50/bagel. Overall super friendly service. Now on to the most important part! The bagels! The bagels are large, they are soft and when cut into there were lots of nice air pockets. The bagels were not dense but had a very nice chew to them. They also were seasoned well. I am so excited to have found this place and I absolutely can't wait to return. I love this mom and pop bakery shop. I wanted fresh french bread for my vietnamese curry I been making to dip. A friend suggested Queens Bakery to me. Let me say, this small shop is an understatement when it comes to their bread and getting it straight from the source. My family loved their soft yet crunchy french bread, it complemented my dish really well. Francesca is super sweet. It was delightful to hear the history and daily workshop of their company. Even though they ran out of their longer french bread by the time i got there, the ten inch ones were perfect per person (so I didn't really have to cut them in to 2 inch slices). Sal and Francesca are so lovely. Such a hole in the wall, family oriented establishment. I was recommended to Queens to get bagels by a New Yorker. Apparently no other bagel shop will do. My experience here had a rocky start due to a missed order but that was all made up for with an extra loaf and accommodation at a later date. The bagels are light, airy, and so big! They do not fit in a normal bagel slicer! Best jalapeño Cheese bagel I've had! Not too cheesy and plenty of jalapeños. The everything bagel was not super onion forward, which was so nice. There were also bigger salt flakes which I enjoyed. Nothing noteworthy about the poppyseed, other than it, the other bagels, and loaf were all made with love! This is the best bread ever! I love good bread and this is by far the best bread hands down in our area. I usually can't get home without eating a piece on the way. I've tried it all and everything is delicious. The cranberry walnut is my favorite it makes the best French toast. The Hawaiian rolls are to die for. The jalapeño makes a delicious grill cheese.
