The donuts are the perfect balance of dough and glaze, not overly sweet or heavy, just perfectly portioned and so fresh. But the croissants are seriously a must-try. They're made fresh that morning and are always warm, flaky, and fluffy. And the cheese in them is soooo good! The owner is also incredibly sweet and hardworking. I honestly feel like he deserves all the credit because every time I come in, especially that early in the morning, I see him there working hard. You can really tell how much care goes into the shop and the food. I'm always happy to support a small business that consistently delivers great food and great service. They're actually closed from 1 pm to 5 pm and open the rest of the hours of the day/night. I selected 2 dozen donuts and they were stocked, but the cake donuts were down to the last few. I didn't think the nursing staff would be impressed with donuts, especially since it was at 9 pm, but they actually were very appreciative and started opening the boxes and showing each other. I dropped them off at the station, said goodnight to my dad and walked out and was stopped by the nurse again who then asked if I was going home for the night and I said yes and my sister would be in later to stay over with my dad. I forgot to save her a donut and told her to ask our nurse for one. He went back and checked and they were all gone before midnight so I'm assuming they were great (I didn't eat one).

Like, Starbucks who?? Service was super quick and friendly. The location inside was clean, tables to sit and enjoy your donuts or breakfast. The ham cheese egg croissant sandwich was $7.95 and it was worth every penny compared to Starbucks when it comes to pricing and portions. Will be returning!

During my recent visit, a customer came into the shop with a very large dog completely UNLEASHED. The dog was visibly DIRTY from being outdoors, with grass, leaves and debris throughout its coat, and was allowed to freely roam around the dining area and tables. I was sitting at a table eating when, without warning, this large dog came underneath my table, pressed against my leg and startled me enough that I literally jumped out of my seat. The owner did not apologize or even acknowledge what had happened. He attempted to call the dog back using a clicker, but the dog repeatedly did not respond and continued wandering around the shop. What bothered me even more was the complete lack of response from the staff. There were approximately four employees working at the time. Based on the way employees greeted the owner by name and made no attempt to intervene, this did not appear to be an unusual or unexpected occurrence. Not one employee asked the owner to leash or control the dog, even after it was roaming around the dining area, approaching customers and making physical contact with me while I was trying to eat. We ultimately took our food and went outside because we were uncomfortable continuing to eat under those conditions. The employees did not acknowledge why we were leaving or address the situation at all. The customer was simply allowed to remain inside with his unleashed dog. I have absolutely no issue with legitimate service animals. What I have an issue with is a large, visibly dirty and uncontrolled animal being allowed to wander freely through a food establishment and approach customers at their tables while multiple employees stand by and do nothing. This wasn't simply an inconsiderate customer's behavior. The staff saw what was happening and allowed it, and their familiarity with the customer made the situation even more concerning to me. I really did love this place, but cleanliness and the ability to sit down and eat without an uncontrolled animal coming underneath your table are pretty basic expectations for a restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't justify my original five-star rating after this experience.
