I placed a relatively large order for a staff meeting I was conducting that was comprised of 4 dozen donuts and 20 muffins that I scheduled for pickup. The staff were incredibly helpful with the suggestions of donuts/muffin flavors that my employees loved! The food was ready for pickup on time and the employee was incredibly generous as they provided complimentary donut holes. This place seems to be a neighborhood favorite. A lot of locals come in regularly to meet up with friends, grab the paper, donuts and a coffee. My husband likes to bring the kids on his day off and they love picking out their own donuts. Everything we've tried has been good and fresh and we've been over 20 times. The prices are extremely good too! We live nearby and at night you see them in there prepping for the next morning. The staff is always friendly and prompt as well. We are fans! read more

I stopped by around 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and there was still a decent selection of donuts. I ended up getting a chocolate cake donut with chocolate frosting/chocolate sprinkles. The donut itself was light and moist. The frosting +sprinkles was a bit too sweet for me. But I'm that girl that usually scrapes the frosting off of everything anyway. (They told me I can walk to Vons and withdraw cash) -No free donut holes with purchase (even though most every other donut place in the area does this). Good little donut shop that offers sandwiches and other pastries. We got there about noon and the pickings were slim but that's pretty typical in a donut bakery so I wasn't too alarmed by it. We kept it simple with our flavors and got chocolate long John, glazed, maple, and sugar. All of them super soft and fresh. I didn't care for how sweet and sugary tasting the maple and chocolate were but the sugar and glazed were tasty. Now don't get me wrong I'm sure the other two were fine, I'm kind of a donut snob when it comes to a maple bar not every one cuts it. All in all if my kiddos want donuts I'll make a stop for sure. read more

I've been coming here for years. Their donuts are always big and fluffy. Most important for me is that it looks appetizing. Usually order a dozen or so every time and their prices are reasonable for a dozen mixed donuts. Their service is always quick and easily accessible because it's located right off the 210 freeway on Carnelian. This shop has been around for a long time and has always had a big local following. I used to stop in several times a week on the way to work about 10 years ago to pick up a dozen donuts for the office or to grab a hot coffee and apple fritter for the commute. The donuts were always big, fresh and perfect. I was never disappointed! I moved back to the east coast for about 8 years and recently returned only to find that the store has changed ownership. As soon as I walked in and looked at the display cases I could immediately see a major difference in ALL the donuts. Everything was way overcooked/fried and were dark and much smaller. I asked if the same bakers were still here and I was advised by the somber employee that the business changed owners over a year ago. I felt obligated to purchase a dozen for old times sake but honestly the quality and taste were very disappointing. The donuts were dry and not very good. They were nothing like the previous owner had proudly baked daily. I will have to find a new donut shop. It's Sad to realize that even terrific businesses don't stay in business forever. read more

I submitted my review yesterday and it somehow got deleted- probably due to the use of a race in my comment. I will refrain from using it again during this review. We just experienced the work customer service yesterday at this establishment. WE WERE SHOCKED! The one clerk working was exceptionally rude, unprofessional, and unsanitary. In the past, she was quite pleasant. However, during our visit yesterday we witnessed her lack of education. Again, she is from another country and quite honestly disappointed with the poor life she's obtained to openly disrespect another race. It reflects more on her than the customer. While working SO hard to pull donuts from a tray, she made some ridiculous attempt to insult this family by rudely coughing in their face. This woman was patient, kind, and courteous and didn't deserve it. Its so very obvious to others that this behavior has a lot to do with her insecurities or clearly jealous! Maybe the clerk should spend more time learning to read and write the OUR language instead of feeling so inferior to others. The customer remained classy and kept her composure. Not to mention, the donuts were a little stale as well. read more

My absolute favorite is their Old-Fashioned Glazed, and their maple bars are also delicious. The staff here is freindly and the donuts are always fresh and good tasting. The prices are fair to even on the cheap side. I frequent this place at least once every two weeks. My only issue comes from the fact that they don't accept credit cards. All they have is an ATM in the store. I don't want to have to pull 20 bucks out every time I want an apple fritter. Been going here since I was little! Love that it is family owned. All staff members are so nice and friendly. The only downside to this place is that they do not take cards. One time I went to buy donuts and I was not aware of this at the time, I felt so bad because I had no cash on me!!! I told them I would go get money from my bank, which is in the same parking area, and they told me not to worry about it and I told them I would go get the money anyways, but they insisted!!! It was the nicest thing and I really appreciated what they did. My friend also told me that they give out the "leftover" donuts to families. I don't know if they still do this, but it's also great!
