Not the best but not the worst. It will fulfill your donut cravings but I personally would go elsewhere. The apple fritter was more undercooked than I prefer and the cake donuts were more on the dry side. Maybe I picked a bad day to visit? But the staff was very kind so it wasn't all bad. Okay so I had to return to pick up 3 dz donuts fast as a surprise for some well deserving warehouse workers. Got the donuts including a couple of bonuses (it was the end of the day). While late in the day still a variety and well the charming and efficient cashier was a delight. I couldn't take a photo of how nicely the 3 boxes were packed as when I placed them down on the table and said Thanks I blinked and saw only smiling faces and the next thing I know it was silent. And the donuts were gone. I'd say it was a great Thursday end of day treat for all. read more

Located in a non-descript strip mall on Archibald, Ya Whoo makes an outstanding ham and cheese croissant; the version with jalapeños is even better! The donut selection is good, and the donuts are tasty. They never seem to have maple/bacon bars when I come in, but I hope to get lucky one day soon. Came here to feed my doughnut craving around 530am. There was a lone as people were getting their Don ought and coffee fix. What was impressive was the lady knew everyone's usual orders. Seems like they have a little following here. Good reason for that. Their doughnuts are baked fresh each morning. They have a great selection of them. And 75 cents for 1 doughnut?!?!? Unheard of these days. Wasn't too greasy. Had a nice crunch on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. Got the sprinkles one. If I'm craving doughnuts again, this will be my doughnut place. The best ive had in 20 years and they have an even better jalapeño, ham and cheese croissant for like $2.50. #drool I will try their sandwiches next. Their donuts are also delicious! I've been coming here since 2006, the owners are great people. I'm not much of a donut person so I'm not going to comment on that. Now, as for the sub sandwiches OMG!!! 10 times better than Subway, Jersey Mikes, etc. I don't know what it is, but the sandwiches are mouth watering. Customer service was good, price was good, however, the donuts themselves were just above average. Not phenomenal, but were fresh. Selection was okay when I went in (at about 915am), so if I was in the area, I would definitely go back. This is one majorly overlooked sandwich restaurant, and I mean people think it's all about doughnuts and coffee, and we would have never known either - but people love to come here for the sandwiches. However, to this day, the only sandwich we've tried here is the pastrami, and we put EVERYTHING on it! This is the best pastrami sandwich you will ever have, I promise. It's neat, fresh, delicious, and perfect. They have olives, pickles, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, avocado, lettuce, bellpeppers, and four different kinds of cheeses I believe. Your sandwich will taste amazing. Nowhere will you find a pastrami that tastes like this. If The Hat's customer's would move to this spot, the owners would become millionaires. Maybe one day I'll walk into a "The Hate" restaurant with some real pastrami sandwiches and let them know what they've been missing. The price is great for what they are dishing out, in all seriousness, every penny is worth it. The doughnuts are just as good as they are at your Yum Yum, they have snacks like chips and corn nuts, crackers, and cookies too. They also serve croissants which I love, but haven't had in a while. Still, I've tried them, and they are delicious, soft, and warm. Everything here is made fresh - that's why it's so damn good. No chewy cheese, thin lettuce sheets, brown avocados, just perfection for your stomach. Also, their iced drinks are ones worth the try. I do have to say they melt quick, but have great flavor. My favorite is the pina colada - it's the best! Please come here and give this small, but enormously deserving little cafe a chance, at least for the PASTRAMIs, you'll thank me, the clerk, the cook, and God you came. read more
