The worst donut shop I have ever been too. The donuts were so shameful. I was just in awe. The donuts were extremely dry no glaze whatsoever the lemon or even worse. They had basically less than a dime of lemon filled. I will send you pictures so you can see for yourself. I got to talk to the owner Kim at Express donuts she mentioned that her donut machine for the glaze was not working right so we mentioned to her then why would you sell these then. My husband and I recently stopped into Express Donuts while in the area when a sudden craving for a donut took over us. Good selection and friendly, efficient service. The donuts we selected were tasty as well. They have different tiered donuts which determine the price. Of course the special flavored ones cost more. The speciality ones were a little bit of a hefty cost to justify for a donut, so we stuck to some of the more traditional flavors: glazed, Boston creme, and a crumble. All were good and tasted as expected. Express Donuts is located in a small shopping strip with other fast food eateries. There are several free parking spots for customers to use that are shared among the other businesses. This is definitely a solid option for donuts in Fontana. We would return in the future the next time we're in the area. read more

When I'm craving a donut, I come to this local spot. The staff is always friendly and quick to help you. They have plenty of options, offering the classics and the new trendy cute looking donuts perfect for a pic on the gram. I love a good chocolate bar or maple bar. Can never go wrong with either. The tiger tail is soooo good, you have to try it! It's similar to a cinnamon bun flavor wise. And it actually looks like a tiger tail. The only bagel I've tried here is the jalapeño bagel. I ask for extra cream cheese because I feel like they don't add enough for my liking. The picture attached is what the normal order is like, I forgot to ask for extra cream cheese this time oops! The croissants are ok, you can get better ones elsewhere but this IS a donut shop so it's fine. I've tried the plain croissants before. A lot of people like the stuffed croissants ie ham and cheese or turkey and cheese. I got the turkey and cheese today, it was ok. Everyday, after the gym, I see this place and am always tempted to drop in. I've dropped in twice in the last month post-workout lol. The first time I got their ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissant and small cup of coffee. Their coffee is good enough to drink black! The croissant was also really fresh (I was there at 7AM). I burned my mouth scarfing it down. The second time, I ordered a dozen Variety donuts for $14. I honestly believe small mom & pop donut shops, like this one, taste a lot better than the chain donut shops. The ladies here are always friendly and from what I can tell, they have a bunch of regulars! I'll definitely be dropping by again when I get the craving. read more

I went in the door seeking a great apple fritter, and here's how it went: The fritters looked delicious - they had that beautiful lumpy, irregular shape fritters must have, and they glistened enticingly in the display case. When you bite into a fritter, especially along the edge, you need to get a bracing pop of sugary crunch. This crunch was good but not great. Great fritters must be loaded with cinnamon, and packed with numerous succulent apple bits. We didn't reach either of these goals here today. The last criticism involves a taste which lingered in the mouth after a bite - it was unmistakable - the fryer oil had seen too many previous batches and really needed to be changed. All in all, not a terrible fritter - it was enjoyable enough. I'd give it three stars, but I've thrown another star on this review because of the helpful, friendly service we received. read more

The strawberry cheese croissant was really good but the coffee needs work. The coffee is made weak and the milk has been reduced with water. So if you add the milk to your coffee... you are watering down your coffee even further. Just a heads up that's all. Oh... and by the way, this is my first time going to this donut shop. This is a small, cozy donut shop located on the North East corner of Baseline and Cherry next to 31 flavors. They carry an assortment of delicious treats from donut holes, to regular glaze and chocolate donuts, gourmet donuts with cereal toppings, strawberry and cream cheese croissants, and my favorite a ham and cheese croissant with jalapeños warmed up. They also carry bear claws, apple fritters and cinnamon rolls. The goodies here are always fresh. You can taste it in their product. Wether you come in the morning or evening, the donuts always taste great. The coffee is always brewing and if your not into coffee they have delicious hot cocoa for this cold weather. Please make sure and bring CASH as anything under a total of $3 gets a .50 cent fee with plastic charge. If your total is more than $3 there is no fee. read more

Their donuts are always fresh and fluffy. I don't often come here on the weekdays, but today was an exception. There was a steady flow of customers on this Wednesday morning and lots of fresh donuts in the case. On the weekends, it's best to get here early because they sell out of donuts quickly. In addition to donuts, they serve croissants (some plain, some filled with ham, cheese, and jalapeno, just to name a few). Just got back from the donut shop. Ordered two ham and cheese croissants and a doughnut. Both ham and cheese croissant where completely raw on the inside, and it was not cheese. It's completely raw dough. And the donut they gave me was a day old. It was hard and all the sugar is off. I've had croissants several other places I've never had raw dough inside. There's a difference between raw dough and melted cheese. I hope I don't get sick from the first few bites. Completely disgusting. I will never go there again! Was going to go return them but I'm to busy and was just looking for a quick breakfast. There goes $17 down the drain. read more

Came to this place and bought some donuts and a chocolate milk. Milk was expired so I came back to let them know. The guy that helped me was rude and didn't want to admit milk was bad. He yelled at me and gave me the money back and told me to leave. Poor customer service and will never do business here. So beware for the dates on food. read more

The service is good and the owners are very nice! I've lived in this area for over 30 years and have been coming to this local shop for quite a number of years. It's family owned! Now this isn't a negative review of the donut shop at all, maybe just my personal preference! Like I said, service is good and they are very nice. Now I'm a glazed donut kind of person...round, twists and donut holes! So, what I've noticed since the new owners have taken over is that there is hardly any glaze on the donuts! It tastes like I am eating just plain bread. The glaze is so thin, you can barely see it! Like I said, I know this is my personal taste, but I do like a thicker layer of glaze on my donuts. The donuts are average and they have the same selection that just about independently operated donut shop has. They aren't bad donuts, just average. The service is friendly and the shop seems clean although I've never dined in to take a close look. Quick hint putting even MORE tape on posters falling off the wall won't help the tape that failed the first time. That said this review is for the ham and cheese croissant I ordered. It was raw. THEY DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS! I saw the lady behind the counter hand sanitize her gloves! That is disgusting and is still considered cross contamination. I observed then help multiple customers, take money, give change and never change their gloves not even once. Gross. Won't be coming back here. read more

I will NEVER return. I've been coming here for years and recommended them to friends and co-workers every time I talked about donuts. But no more. Today, after having lunch with a friend nearby, we stopped in for a donut. My friend's first time there. A man comes out to serve us. My friend asked if they had donut holes, the man said no. We ordered one donut each and sat down to eat there. My first time dining in since I usually take dozens to go. We were the only customers in the establishment. After eating our donuts and conversing for a few minutes, I rang the service bell to ask for the restroom key (restroom sign says for paying customers only, which I was). Upon exiting the restroom two minutes later the man tells me and my friend we need to leave. That there is a 15 minute time limit for or people to dine-in. He then points to their posted sign that read, "We have the right to refuse service to anyone." I don't know if he was upset that we only bought one donut each or what but that's no way to treat customers. Ironically, I was about to order a box of a dozen to take home for the family. Very rude man. No way to treat a longtime, loyal customer. I will make sure everyone I speak to knows how horrible this guy is there. I will take my business elsewhere where paying customers are appreciated. read more
