I've been coming here for about 15 years. Whenever I'm in the mood for doughnuts! They always have a great selection, and are fresh....soft, sometimes warm!! Jax Donuts has been around for 15+ years and it's easy to see why! This place always delivers on quality and taste. I've been to many donut shops and nothing quite matches Jax! Getting there in the morning is the best time because the donuts will be most fresh. I purchased the donut holes and a strawberry glazed eclair (I think?). First off the donut holes are fluffy, light, and the perfect amount of sweet. Not too oily either which is good! The strawberry glazed eclair was delicious as well, just like the donut holes only bigger and with strawberry glaze on top. The only reason this place doesn't get 5/5 is because the price is a tad bit higher than usual donut shops, but that won't stop me from coming back! read more

I wasn't paying attention bc I had my baby and was pulling out my cash and thought she put the donut holes in the box. she didn't. she also charged me $9!!!!!! the menu is $5.50. Been coming here since 2010 when I was a kid. My dad would always bring me here after school and we would hang out on the outside seating for hours. First time stopping in for a coffee and donuts. Not many available in the display. The glass display needed cleaning as it was nasty looking. The tables were dirty and even the walls had food stuck on them. There were a lot of cobwebs near the ceiling on all the walls. The donuts were small but good. The coffee cups were filled half full, and there was no creamer. The gentleman was friendly and a few others came in while we sat and ate our donuts. No one else sat inside. The doughnuts used to be really good with lines out the door, now not so much. I'm not sure if it's under different management or not. The apple fritters went from awesome to just okay. My last visit kinda grossed me out. I observed the cashier handling food and money back and forth without ever washing or disinfecting her hands. They charged me $4.50 FOR THREE DONUTS! That comes to $1.50 each!!!! This is highway robbery, given that people are struggling in today's pandemic era. The service there is AWFUL! I walked in, a few days ago, and no one was at the counter. The older woman (who I'm assuming runs the shop) was putting a tray away. I waited until she was done. Then I said "Hi!" I wasn't rude at all. I kid you not, she ignored me for a good 2-3 minutes before she finally came over. I just walked out; she made me late for work. I chose to starve the first 4 hours of my work shift over giving someone with poor customer service skills my money. I'll never go there again. Not having a card reader is very lazy/greedy in my opinion, especially if your product is just so-so. Maybe it's just because I grew up in Glendora near Doughnut Man, but I didn't find the doughnuts here to be very fresh, interesting, or worth my time... especially because I had to run to an ATM machine just for a transaction total of 2.50. Even if they required a minimum, I would have rather bought more and paid it then ran to get out money. I know how much card reader transactions cost & I don't like supporting greedy, lazy business that don't care enough about their customers to provide the convenience of a card reader unless they have a stellar product! Every time I have visited this place, I felt that I have been racially driscriminated by the lady who works here. For example, this morning, there was an older Caucasian gentleman before me and two other Caucasian men behind me. She greeted and served the man in front of me nicely, with a smile and all. Then, the moment it was my turn, her tone of voice changed immediately. She didn't say 'hi' but rather, 'yeah' with a nod. She also kept looking me up and down with this look of disgust (?)...she wasn't even discreet about it. I waited to see how she served the two men behind me. Immediately, her tone of voice changed and she was nicer to them. This happens every time I visit the store. Perhaps their success has gotten to their head? I wonder what would happen when customers (even the regulars) actually begin to notice and take action against their bad customer service......... It is really this one lady there. There is another lady and a guy - there are more nicer. But it's just that one particular lady! As for their donuts, it's not bad. However, there are many donuts shops around or on my way to work. There is no reason to stop here for donuts and risk feeling horrible and influencing your whole day. ))) read more
