Unocal 76 - Gas Stations Near Me - Placentia, California

Fairly typical gas station/convenience store (Circle K)/car wash. The car wash is owned by another company. The pumps are fairly easy to get in and out of unless it's busy then turning around to head out. Service inside is hit or miss, depending on who's working. Although it's small and feels cluttered, it's pretty clean. Gas-wise, it's more expensive as there is no competition nearby, but not extraordinarily so. In the end, if you're in a pinch. this station does the trick. read more

I stopped by to get gas, but the card reader at the pump clamped down on my card so tightly that I nearly broke it trying to pull it out--and it still failed to read. I tried two more times with no luck. The screen told me to "see cashier," but I had my dog in the car and it was hot outside. There was no way I was going to leave her locked in the car. So I gave up on gas and figured I'd at least get a car wash since I have a Bliss membership. I got in line and ended up waiting a long time because the person in front of me was arguing with the car wash attendant. Then the manager came out of the convenience store and joined the argument. There was a lot of arm flailing and shouting back and forth. This dragged on for about ten minutes, and I needed to be somewhere. I waved to get the manager's attention and asked if they could let me out of the line (there was a car behind me, so all they had to do was move a few cones). Instead, the manager turned to me and loudly and rudely said, "No! I'm dealing with a customer! You'll have to wait!" I muttered, mostly to myself, "I'm a customer too..." Several more minutes went by, and eventually that person in front of me was allowed to leave , apparently not even buying a car wash after all that. The kicker? They motioned for me to back up so they could get out, even though I was the one stuck and they just needed to turn their beat-up car. Completely absurd. At that point, I decided I'd had enough. I'll be canceling my membership. This place clearly doesn't value its customers or their time. read more

Do not use the air in this gas station. It is a rip-off. The machine charge you $2.00 for each tire to put air in it. read more

ERIC- Nurul does not work there anymore, due to health issues, so I think it's safe to go back there. The best employee is Joseph. Always nice, with a happy attitude. And if you want happy car wash people, go there, 'cause they are always stoned! read more

I don't care for this gas station on a whole. The extra star is for the car wash which is actually a pretty decent wash for the price. Inflated gas prices, inflated cigarette prices. Meh. read more

I hope you never need to buy cigarettes here; because if you do prepare to be harassed by Nurul. This guy is a complete prick and REALLY takes the job of gas station attendant too seriously. First I ask for my stuff, he asks for ID. I show it. He says it's not me. How is it not me? "It's not you, not your hair, where hair in your face?", He Says. "I grew a beard, so what?" "It's not you" "Hey, I'm 25 years old, I don't look 17 AT ALL, what's the big deal?" "Your a fake id" Yea. After 10 minutes of arguing with him he decides I'm telling the truth and allows me to pay for my goods. I hand him my card, and it CONTINUES!!! "This is not your card." "How is it not my card?" "You could not have credit card in 1995." "No, I had a savings account in 1995." "You are lying." Yes, it kept going like this, until I guess he got tired and decided that it was possible for someone to have a bank account in 1995, and I finally got to leave. I still wonder what the people behind me in line were thinking the whole time? Hmmm.... read more

My neighborhood gas station. It's conveniently located on the corner of Alta Vista and Rose. It's surrounded by Chase Bank, many shops, salons, and Ralphs. The gas prices are reasonable, it has an accompanying car wash, and circle k, for snacks and drinks. read more

My go to gas station because I live across the street. Positives: They have a car wash manned with people, location is safe at night, extremely clean and have a good convenience store. The staff here is always very friendly and helpful. Cons: The gas prices can be a bit high. Overall one of the better gas stations. I only wish they had more competitive gas prices. read more

I love this 76 gas station and the fact that it usually has the best prices around, I've been going here for years. The circle K is nice when I need ice or a cold drink and the employees are always friendly. I especially love the on-site Placentia Express car wash, when I get gas at the station I pay for a car wash at the same time then have my car run through the wash after the tank is full. It's so convenient and the station is always clean. The car wash employees are the best, always so helpful and friendly. read more

What makes this gas station stand out from all the other gas stations? The car wash. It's not a mind-blowingly phenomenal car wash, but it's decent. You buy the wash and then pull your car up to the wash area until your wheels get caught by the conveyor mechanism. Put the car in neutral and sit back while you get a hand wash. Then you drive the car out and get out and wait while the attendant waxes and dries the car. The prices are in line with any other car wash. As far as the gas, I've heard that 76 gas is poor quality compared to Chevron or Mobil, but that's why it's cheaper. I only go here if I'm filling up my old car or my bike. The new car gets the good stuff. read more

Great service and prices are very competitive. The service I usually fast. They have a huge variety of drink and snacks as well as coffees. The restrooms are clean. Also beer at this location is ok Ive seen or other people complain about the car wash area but since I never wash my car there I can't complain. The staff is very helpful but there Is one older Asian man that is a little slow and sometimes doesnt know how to process the transaction. I will continue to come here for drinks and gas. read more

Best coffee in all of placentia and lovely customer service. Cleanest circle k i have ever been to

The people who work here are incompetent. I go in to put $30 in my tank and they cant figure out how to work the computer. There are 3 people in there staring at the screen with 10 people waiting behind me, and no reassurance that theyre working on the problem. I grab my shit and go and they still dont even realize that Ive left. Do not go here. read more

They have new ownership and it is not the same!! The guy who usually would write up the ticket was a total sweetheart, the new guy was in no hurry to help me and even thou there was only 1 other car in front of me it took him 10 minutes to start working on it! The guys cleaning the car are the same ones who are Nice and good! Hopefully they get someone who cares for the front read more

Poor customer service. Rude. Don't go for the car wash. They have to remove antennas. They scratched my dashboard when they stuck my antenna inside the car. I'd drive down another mile to get gas just to avoid these people. They're better than you even though they only work at the gas station. read more

I completely feel bait and switched with the car wash. The gas is hella expensive too. I'll never go to this 76 again. The guy who washed my car was cool though. The management sucks. The only reason I went to the wash is for the protective wax. Feel like I got screwed. I won't be back. read more

They cracked my car windshield and then when I asked for a refund the manager called me a liar! The workers were nice but the manager is an asshole! read more

The woman working here at 5:30 pm August 11, 2012 turned a simple request for a duplicate receipt into a personal attack on me. She called me a liar in front of a line of 6 people. All I wanted was a duplicate receipt so I could bring my car back tomorrow if it rains tonight. Thank god the nice guys who washed my car said they would remember me and wash my car again without the receipt. This has never happened to me with any other employee here when I have asked for a duplicate receipt. I had no clue this would cause such a fiasco. read more

I pull into this car wash like normal. The attendant working there tries to sell me the most expensive package. I had to tell him now about 10 times NO! As I am waiting for my car to be dried, this same man ( I think he was the assistant manager, who had a name that began with Q) come over to me and starts talking with me. I obliged at first, being he was interested in what I thought about India (he could tell I was of Indian descent.) He then began a conversation, no, more of a preaching and harrassment, about religion. I listend for a few minutes, but when he began to tell me that the Christianity I believe was a lie and not the truth, I was done. This man was a Muslim, and I knew there was no chance of having an intelligent discourse in which we both share our views. He wouldn't let me get any words in! I politely got up to end HIS pontificating. It did not stop there, he follwed me to the car telling me to go seek the truth and find the "god religion". I don't mind intelligent, TWO sided conversations about religion. But, I do mind being being preached/harrassed at while I was just trying to mind my own business. I just wanted to get my car washed! I will never go to this car wash again (it is a pity too, it is near my home) for fear of running into this same man and getting dragged into a conversation I do not want to have. read more

I'm very disappointed. I walked in to the shop on August 12th, 2017 at about 10:20pm to put gas in my dads car and buy a lighter. I got the gas, but not the lighter. The guy working tonight, Han; or something like that, I'm very bad at names, wouldn't sell me a lighter. He's excuse was that I wasn't old enough. I'm 20 years old. He claimed that it was a new company policy; didn't tell me the policy, and just kept pointing at the sign that said that you would be carded if you looked under 30 if you were buying cigarettes, alcohol, or lottery tickets. I just wanted a crappy $1.49 lighter. So I walked out, put gas in my dads car, and went to another gas station, that just happened to be a 76 as well; and tried my luck at buying a lighter there; in and out in 2 minutes. I asked he guy working at that 76 if there was any new company policy about selling lighters to people under 21, the guy said no and told me something I've known. He told me that in the state of California you have to be 18 for lighters, which I am. It was bullshit and management should really fill the workers in on laws. I'm never coming here again. I will be putting gas in my car at a shell gas station. read more
