Fairly standard Shell station with a convenience store. Getting in and out can be pretty easy…read moredepending on which direction you're going. The pumps were clean and the one I used didn't have any graffiti on it. Shell tends to be a littler pricier for gas, and since there's no competition in the immediate area, it's not going to be the cheapest. The store didn't have any hot food but did have a good selection of cold beverages and coffee. It's clean and well organized. I have no complaints, but it's also nothing special that I would go out of my way to visit.

The car wash, monthly program initially sounded attractive due to the convenient location and…read moreaffordability. Even though the car wash didn't include any vacuum service. I stayed on as a loyal customer for nearly one year. I kept noticing that after bringing in my Mercedes for a wash. Streaks of white soapy residue on all sides of my vehicle, windows and sunroof. Which is completely unacceptable. Secondly, in my experience. I found the car the wash was Closed too often for repairs and blocked off with orange cones. One day, while finding the car wash was closed again. I decided to ask an employee when the car wash was going to reopen? He responded that he had no idea what the deal was. His demeanor was extremely slothful and he acted annoyed that I was speaking to him. This Shell car wash is completely inefficient. You'd be better off, going home, throwing a bucket of water on your car and letting it air dry. And good luck with a 50-50 chance that the car wash is going to actually be open when you need it. The cost to value is not there at all. The car wash is ideal for an older vehicle. If you really didn't care.

My regular Shell gas station isn't Shell anymore, it's now independent. Luckily, this Shell is only…read moreabout a mile farther away, on the corner of Orangethorpe and Kraemer. I've filled up here several times now, and I've had a good experience. This location has six covered pumps on one side, and two uncovered pumps on the other side. They also have propane, as well as an air and water machine. Their gas prices are on par with other major non-independent stations in the nearby area. The inside of this Shell has a very nice and modern looking food mart with several aisles of food items, and a cooler along the back wall with various beverages. There is also a Subway sandwich shop inside. This will probably be my regular gas station from now on. PRO TIP FOR ALL SHELL GAS STATIONS: Shell is partnered with Ralphs grocery stores through the Ralphs Rewards program. For every $100 spent at Ralphs, you earn a $0.10 cent per gallon discount at Shell, up to a maximum discount of $1.00 per gallon. Most Fridays, Ralphs has a coupon in their app to get 4x fuel points for Ralphs purchases made on that day. I don't grocery shop at Ralph's, but I do buy $100 gift cards there for places I already spend money at like Amazon, Target, Starbucks, DoorDash, etc. If you buy them on Friday with the 4x coupon, that's $0.40 off per gallon for every $100 spent. There's rarely a time I fill up at Shell without getting the maximum $1.00 per gallon discount.

Make it make sense. If you're unhappy, you shouldn't be working here. In the end, we still ended up paying for it. Poor customer service & if I could give this place 0 stars I would. The first time, I got my money back from the cashier without issue. This time, the person behind the counter first lied and said that the price was correct, and then when I pointed out the price on their sign, he refused to help and told me to call the manager the next day. When I got upset with him he laughed like he thought it was funny that he had stolen money from me. Their Techron is pretty widely regarded as a good and effective additive. I was surprised to see that my new BMW actually has a sticker by the gas tank cap stating that BMW recommends Shell fuels. Another big reason I always go to Shell is that I save a ton of money on gasoline thanks to their partnership with Ralphs. If you sign up for a Ralphs Club card and swipe it when you shop there, you'll get 10 cents off per gallon at Shell for every $100 spent at Ralphs. I usually don't even shop for groceries there but it also applies to gift card purchases. I spend a lot at Amazon, Target, DoorDash, Starbucks, etc so I buy $100 gift cards for those places from Ralphs. Ralphs also has coupons for 4x points on Fridays so you get 40c off per gallon per $100 spent up to $1 off per gallon. If I'm gonna spend that money anyway, I might as well save a bunch on gas while I'm at it. I save a minimum of $500 per year doing this.
