Really glad for their service on my car. This shell has a car repair shop, and I've taken it for brake repairs. Recently, my car was getting loud and found out my bearings on a tire needed to be replaced. Not an easy fix at home. They fixed my car same day, at a reasonable price. The repair shop as a whole is very professional, keep the car clean, and do a very good job with repairs. My car is quiet now again thanks to them! read more

Fairly standard gas stations with a mini-mart attached. They do have a service garage which is unusual these days, hence a true mini-mart. Prices are a little higher due to zero competition, but you pay for the convenience of the location. Other than that, the place is clean, fairly easy to get in and out of, and you can use the app to pay which is very nice. read more

The Indian man was very rude. Gave me a dirty look as I walked in. I asked for the men's restroom key and he just threw it on the counter without saying anything. I had to reach over to grab it. Went into the restroom and not 3 minutes in he banged really hard on the wall next to me. I thought maybe it was something else and he did it again and but and I heard a man's voice. I finished got out. Threw the keys on the counter and left. I got into my car and I was driving off he sorta chased me. I was gonna be nice and buy a drink for using the restroom but forget it. Never go there. Don't even take your kids there to use the restroom. read more

This Shell Station is not only the friendliest, most accommodating gas station I've ever been to, but it also has the best service department you will ever find. Headed by Shawn, and another excellent mechanic named Avelino, I'm impressed every time I have to have repairs on any of my four vehicles. It's an amazingly simple process. Handover the keys to Shawn, he calls you back in a very timely manner and lets you know your options and expense to have your vehicle repaired. I've been meaning to get on here to make a review... back in December I pulled up to get gas and was greeted soon after by one of the employees offering me a $25 gift card to use as either gas or store merchandise! I came by here today with a semi flat tire, the attendant was speaking to a friend I'm assuming he took one look at my car and totally judged me and told me to come back tomorrow and walked away and continued to speak to his fellow friend! Wow! Nah! I'll give my service to people who are helpful! I'll sleep in my car in the lot of a service station that would love to help me! Don't ever judge a book by its cover! I had a great experience here, unlike a lot of service centers. I rolled in with my engine light on and my vehicle misfiring. Shawn was on the phone so Avelino quickly came over to see how I could be assisted. I briefly explained and at that point Shawn was off the phone and listening in. He told me they could do diagnostics but I'd have to leave it for a couple hours. A couple hours sounds great compared to the dodge dealership that takes a whole week. I left it with him and sure enough in just a few hours he called me back with the code read and diagnostics on my work van. He gave me guidance to proceed. Since it's a new engine with only 7000 miles on it, He advised me to go back to where they installed it as I should be covered. They also didn't gouge me to run diagnostics like some places will. Obviously, days later I'm still waiting on dodge's diagnostics. However I am so grateful for rolling into this shop and being treated with honesty and respect by both of the gentlemen in this shop. read more

I needed a smog check on an older car - a 1998 Toyota Corolla, and most of the usual places I go to for my other cars turned me away as they only had the licensing and equipment to smog 2000 and newer cars only. Fortunately I was able to find this place to get my smog check in order which came out to $75 out the door. A little pricier compared to testing on newer cars but this is standard price after calling around. Friendly service staff with that small town family feel to it, and it's a AAA approved repair facility so that's a plus. read more

Do not come to this gas station in the morning (6-7am) if you need gas. This is now the second time in a short period of time that I have come here needing gas only to find every pump with a lock on it. Each time this happened there were other cars experiencing the same frustration. I've never experienced this before in my life and to have this happen two times in such a short timespan is ridiculous. First time here, I had a flat tire due to many construction going on around Anaheim Hills and nearby city. I called AAA and waited hour and half and could not reach anyone to talk to. I decided to take a chance to drive my car to the near east gas station. I got here at Shell to put air in my tire temporarily but I see that they can repair my tire so the guy says 15 mins and they fixed my tire right away. I was sooo happy that I came here. On the way home, I decided to top off my motorcycle since they had special price day with lower gas prices. The Indian man behind the counter never looked at me, spoke to me and just took my cash and never said a word. I stood there wondering what i was supposed to do. Finally I just left. There was no hello, thank you or anything. I really felt bad after I left. I thought that maybe he had a bad day, but this was the second time in the last couple months he did this. My tires have been causing me trouble lately and I clock out of work to see one of my tires had leaked air out, leaving it almost flat. I work nearby and was able to drive the half mile here hoping they'd have an air pump. It was 20 min to close and I didn't see one so I went in to ask and Lincoln let me know that the air pump was in their mechanic part of the station and the mechanic had closed up already. But Lincoln opened up the garage door just for me to bring out the air pump hose, which had amazing air flow too. My tire filled up quickly with no issues. I got gas after that and Lincoln came outside and made conversation with some of the other customers getting gas. I was checking out my tire while the gas was filling up and Lincoln noticed so he asked if everything was okay. I said yes and he then told me I should get it replaced if it keeps happening. I took my car to Anaheim Hills Shell service center for the last time. Not because I found a better service station, but because I'm moving out of state. For the last time they checked out my car for a long trip and completed work necessary to keep us safe on the road. I'm going to miss the owner, Mike Noble, and the service manager, Sean Maize, so much! I hope I'm lucky and can find a service station I can trust even half as much as these guys near my new home. They are the best! It gives you a wonderful sense of peace of mind to take your car into a service station and say, "do whatever needs to be done," and know that you won't be taken advantage of. So..... the last several times I visited this Shell station: 1. Disposable glove dispensers were empty. 2. I had issues with 2 different gas pump credit card reader & display screen: One screen was almost impossible to read (faded screen) and another one kept displaying "error messages", even though my credit card was approved and ultimately dispensed fuel. Some may have drove to another pump with the error message and potentially the next person could've fueled up for free. Owner needs to fix these issues. For now, this is just another gas station and doesn't deserve my initial 5 star rating. read more

First if all I come here for gas probably every week. Once time i need to use the restroom and at that time the cashier was away. He looked at me then i asked him for the key(he wasn't busy). Then he walked back to the ofc to get the key for me but he was shaking his head and looked so cranky. With his attitude, should you get the key from him? DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GAS STATION. I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GAS STATION. I came to this gas station and sat in my car for about five minutes looking for my credit card. I had barely swiped my card in the machine and entered my zip code when a stranger ran next to me to stop me from filling up my gas. He asked me if I had pumped gas into my car yet and when he saw the screen he saw that nothing had been drawn yet. The screen said $20 had been used. The owner came out with the receipts and the patron and owner started yelling. Apparently what had happened was that the patron was using the pump in front of mine and the owner had foolishly charged the credit card and credited it to the wrong machine, thus allowing another patron to draw $20 worth of gas to fuel their car. The owner began to yell at me and told me that I owed him $20! For what, exactly??? I told him I didn't even pull the nozzle out of the machine yet and the patron said I had nothing to do with this. another car had used his $20 to get gas. The owner then kept saying that he was not responsible for the money that was taken out of the patron's credit card and continued to yell about the $20 that was lost. The patron and I then tried to reason with him and said that the money was charged and another person had basically gotten free gas. The owner was older, around 60+ years old, but kept saying it wasn't his fault or his problem and that he was not responsible for the loss of money and kept demanding for some sort of payment. The patron told him to stop yelling at me because it was not my fault and I even tried to prove to him that I didn't draw any gas from the machine by pulling the nozzle and trying to pump gas into my car. Nothing came out. The owner have one last yell, "I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE!" and then walked back into his store. DO NOT BUY GAS FROM THIS STATION. If an owner can foolishly charge your card to another machine and then have the nerve to yell at two people who had nothin to do with HIS mistake, then this is not a place to frequent. He would not own up to his faults and instead tried to blame ME just because I was there at the time. He did not apologize to myself nor the patron who had now lost $20 thanks to the stupidity of this owner and just grunted away like he had been the one robbed. I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this gas station. It may be located in a convenient location but it is NOT worth the hassle of being charged and having that same problem happen to you. Have gone here for years but today something went pretty wrong. 8am appt for an oil change - the sort of thing they can do at Jiffy Lube in 20 minutes. 60 minutes later I ask "When is someone going to get my car?" Oh, yeah, right now. it's 48 degrees and I've been sitting outside in the cold because that's the only place to sit. If you're really lucky one of the chain smoking customers or employees will come over and sit by you and then you can suck in some 2nd hand smoke and ruin your clothes while you wait. It took $53 and 95 minutes for an oil change. I had an 8am appt and was there at 7:55am. Mike told me that I need an air filter and new wiper blades next time. Guess what? Next time I'll either be at the dealer's - a 20 minute drive but they at least have a decent waiting area and it doesn't take 95 minutes - OR I'll go to Jiffy Lube in Yorba Linda. Update as of 1/9/12: Got a message on the machine at home with an apology and a promise to do better next time. I don't know if the "do better" includes moving all the smokers away from the "waiting area" which are the 2 metal chairs by the side of the building. It's good to try new things, and I think I'm still heading to the dealer next time. I don't know why they put someone else's car in front of mine or ignored mine for 60+ minutes... read more

This past summer, I received a car for my birthday: a 2004 Ford Taurus. It was rather nice, worked great, and most importantly, relatively cheap. I was very excited and drive this car whenever I have an opportunity to go anywhere. Due to this constant usage however, my car gets a lot of miles on it pretty quickly. My dad taught me how to do little things to improve my car, such as checking the wiper fluid and how to check the oil and other items similar to that. When we checked my cars oil levels the other other day, however, I discovered that it was at an extremely low amount. When I told my dad this, he told me to go to this gas station. It was probably one of the closest to my house, and he is a good friend of one of the gentlemen who works there by the name of Frank. He said that Frank was very helpful and knowledgeable about the subject. When I got to the shell however, I learned that Frank was no longer employed there. I was caught off guard and a little disappointed, but the employee behind the counter helped me find where to go and who to talk to. A young man named Sean helped me with my oil, and he did a very good job. How, my experience was not perfect. The service was seemed to be a little slow, due to the fact that they only had two people working on the cars at any time. Also, everything was a little overpriced. Overall however, I had a pretty good experience there and the next time I need work done on my car, I will be sure to go to there. read more

DO NOT HAVE SERVICE DONE HERE! My car died on the road. My $8 OBD2 scanner told me P0303 (Cylinder 3 misfire). Called AAA for a tow. Free tow to AAA Approved Anaheim Hills Service Center, or $150 to the dealer. I chose the former. Talked to Sean. Told him error code and to change the spark plugs. Sean said mechanic can't find any OBD2 error codes! (This was my FIRST uh-oh moment). End of following day Sean says new plugs didn't fix problem. Says it's the PCV/Oil Separator assembly. I approve R&R. ONLY THEN did I think to Google Anaheim Hills Service Center. Couldn't find any Yelp for "Anaheim Hills Service Center". Search on address, 400 S Anaheim Hills Rd. Still nothing. Go to Google Maps street view... It's a Shell Station! A damn gas station hiding behind a prestigious name. (This was my SECOND uh-oh moment). Pick car up 4 days later after waiting for the part. The bill is $550 AFTER $50 AAA discount. Oh well, at least my car is fixed. That night I research the cost of the PCV/Separator and the HIGHEST price I found was at the dealer for $74. Sean charged me $130. More than Twice what 2 day from MOPAR OEM would cost. (This was my THIRD uh-oh moment) Next day, car dies on the road. Call AAA for another tow. I figured Sean should try to make this right after charging me $550 to NOT fix my car. He keeps it for 2 days and can't figure it out. I Google the problem and ask him for quote to change all 4 ignition coils. Sean comes back with ANOTHER $450, more than half for labor! (This was my LAST uh-oh moment) I pick up the car and got it home. NOW HERE'S THE KICKER... I order the 4 ignition coils and watch a 5 minute You-tube on what to do. IT TAKES ME EXACTLY 30 MINUTES to change out all 4 ignition coils AND put everything back together! For 30 minutes work and $150 parts, Sean was trying to charge me $450! IT GETS BETTER (I mean worse)... when I replaced the 4 ignition coils, I see the spark plugs are just a ratchet turn away under the coils, and I also see the PCV/Separator is sitting right there on the engine, 2 bolts to resolve! It would have taken me, at most, another 30 minutes to do ALL of the work that Sean said his mechanic did. So Sean charged me $402.50 for (I'll be generous here) 2 hours of labor! (I also noticed his mechanic broke 3 out of 4 of my coil connectors, and attached the PVC hose with a Zip Tie instead of a hose clamp! OMG! Summary, Sean charged me $400 in labor (+$180 in parts) for a 1 hour job, and then tried to burn me again for $250 in labor (+$200 in parts) for a 30 minute job! So not only did he rip me off, he also didn't seem to feel any remorse for NOT fixing my car, and was comfortable trying to rip me off a second time. Again DO NOT HAVE SERVICE DONE HERE! read more

Came here in June when I was visiting family in Anaheim Hills. They did a full service on my car. Fixed the suspension, oil change, all that. About $1200 for the whole job. Cool, fine, car's good as new, right? Nah. I drove it back up to San Jose. About a day after that, my car started making this horrific scraping noise every time I made a hard right or left (like when I was backing into a parking spot or something). Just loud, like metal being dragged on the concrete. And the entire left side of my car was going "kathunk kathunk kathunk" when I drove on the freeway. Oh it was horrible. So I took it to a repair shop up here in San Jose. The suspension was shot. Loose and going all over the place. It had become dislodged on my drive up here... because the people at Shell installed it way too damn tightly, and it popped out of place. That guy was able to fix most of the shocks but one of them had to be replaced completely. $760 to fix the damage from Shell. Don't go here to get your car fixed. read more

Never reviewed a gas station before... but this place is just strange. This place is close to my house but I usually drive right by because the gas is 15-20 cents more than other places. I even feel guilty filling up my company car here! But every once in a while I get over it. They installed new pumps a while back and they have these red flashing LED lights at the top of each pump that flash the entire time you are pumping gas. There is also a 'warning' message that tells you the lights will continue to flash until you return the nozzle back to the pump? WTH? I don't get it. What else am I going to do with the nozzle when I'm done?! Now I've noticed they have removed all the auto-on latches on each nozzle so you have to stand there the entire time holding the pump lever to fill your tank. That is so annoying! It's like going back in time 20 years when you had to hold it 'on' the entire time. The sign on the pump says the fire marshall made them remove all the latches!? So the one cool thing at this place.... they have hand sanitizer dispensers at each pump. So when you are done you can squirt some in your hand and eradicate all the cooties. Gotta love that. read more
