I finally had to get a smog check for the first time ever....not because I always buy new cars or drive electric, but because I've had such bad luck with cars that they usually never make it to the DMV smog-check stage. My boyfriend has been bringing his 2003 truck to this shop for years and recommended I come here. I pulled up right after opening on a Saturday morning, and the whole process was incredibly quick and efficient. Even with about three cars ahead of me, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. It took around 35 minutes. The actual smog test took 10 minutes but there were maybe 3 people before me. It can get busy but the service is fast. I'd come back again. Love this place. I always go there to get my Toyota smogged. The gentleman who has always worked on my vehicle told me that my windshield wipers were extremely old and damaged and that the line on my window was not dirt, but a deep scratch. I do not notice these things myself. Discrimination against older cars. I arrived at 8:30 AM on 10/06/2025. Parking lot was almost empty, (2 cars as I recall). I go into office and I'm told it would be an hour's wait. They finish the cars in the parking lot and then 3 other cars come in & they are serviced. I ask the office, "What's going on, I got here way before these other 3 cars that you just smog checked. They tell me that older cars take much longer to smog check and to keep their parking lot clear they will continue to do the newer cars first ignoring the order in which the cars came in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tech, (probably owner), tells me to come back later.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I come back at 0ne PM, same day. This time woman talks to me. "It's going to be at least an hour wait". I told her I was willing to pay more if my car took longer I just wanted to be treated equally to newer car owners. She says "We Don't do that", & would not schedule me in the order I drove up in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked, "Can I make an appointment? She says "We don't make appointments", and quite rudely too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She says, "I'm not changing my business because of you".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She says come back Sunday, that's when we are the least busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm 83 years old and not in great health, COPD and extreme abdominal pain due to "Scar tissue from a bad hernia operation" I can't sit for long periods. Never ever ever again. This place is absolutely horrible. I called them to see if they would be able to smog my 1995 Jeep Wrangler and they said they had the equipment to do it. Perfect, drove all the way from Corona to Yorba Linda since they had a decent price and there machine was working, also had family in the area and the Jeep had been taken there before by another family member. Anyways. Arrive around 11 AM on a Tuesday, they took the paperwork and they said it would probably be around an hour/hour and a half as they were busy. Okay no problem. Went to lunch with some family, hung around for a bit waiting for a phone call saying the Jeep was done. Nothing. No phone call. Arrive back at 1 PM asking if the Jeep was done and some gentleman comes out (with attitude) and says they haven't even gotten to it yet and to just leave it and he will get it done. I ask how much longer? and he proceeds to just keep telling me to leave it and he will get it done. I don't have all day, you told me it would be an hour/hour and a half and it's now been two hours and you still aren't done? I then ask if he goes in order of arrival and he says it takes awhile for the older vehicles. That didn't answer my question at all. He states he's already done 40 vehicles in the time that I had my Jeep there, but my Jeep still isn't done?? And there definitely wasn't 40 vehicles in the parking lot/line to be smogged so he obviously didn't want to do my Jeep. Sounds to me like if you have an older vehicle it takes more effort to smog it and he just quickly does the newer vehicles as it takes less time. That's no way to run a business if you ask me. Will definitely take my business else where and will never recommend this shop to anyone. Ever. Gentleman was super rude. read more
