Needed to get my DMV smog check and came across this spot. It's super small and tucked next to a gas station--easy to miss if you're not paying attention. It's basically a one-person operation, and when I went, it was busy enough that he was juggling two cars at once. You could tell he was a bit stressed, but still provided great customer service. There's no actual waiting area due to the size, but there's a small lot nearby where you can wait in your car, which worked perfectly for me. Just be prepared to wait a bit depending on the crowd, but overall, solid service. read more

Stop and Smog (Fullerton) offers a coupon for Smog check if you share your email. $31.25. However in small print is a fee +$8.75 = $40 plus tax!! I did not appreciate this. I also noticed that they require 2 types of other engine checks. Why? Only to try to get more $. Whether work is needed or not. Why else would it be a requirement and in small print?! This made me mad. THEN I REALIZED THAT NEW JUNK MAIL COMING TO MY EMAIL WAS CERTAINLY FROM THIS BUSINESS! I needed to pass the smog test to register my car. But my car failed the smog test the first time and he helped me figure out how to get it diagnosed and fixed. He only charged me after it passed and was very kind and patient with me. He also is extremely fast! Didn't spend more than 15 minutes here! He's the only smog testing location that didn't charge ridiculous prices and educated me about my car. Jacob helped me and he was very very nice! He even offered me a free air freshener, that was very sweet! I just love this place and they deserve to be known so I added them on yelp. Went here for a smog check a couple of months ago and was surprised for their awesome service. Today, I went for an oil change and this place is my go-to for any auto inquiry/repair. I get anxious with auto repair stores because I'm scared that they will charge more and rip me off. However, this place makes sure to only do whatever you asked them to. If you're there for an oil change, you will get it without any additional stuff that other places would tell you. Jacob, the mechanic is a great person to work with. He is professional, friendly and does amazing job. Also this place is not just focused for smog checks, they do other auto maintenance/repairs as well. He wasn't wearing a mask but that didn't bother me because he kept his distance and it's a mechanic shop. I was wearing a mask the whole time and kept my distance as well.
