After receiving an obscene list of "immediate" repairs from the dealer for my 2016 BMW car, i reached out to Ronin for a second opinion. I chose them because they are well rated, specialize in BMW and are close by. I dropped off my car for an inspection and shared with Noel what occurred at the dealer. The inspection was performed in less than 2 hours and the list of recommendations was similar but came in at a fraction of the dealer "urgent" repair work. Discussed all with Noel and based on our situation (keep or sell?) he helped us make our choice. Appreciate their transparency and advice. They are professional and straight forward. read more

I used to go to the dealership for 90% of my repairs, but I was tired of "simple" oil changes turning into thousands of dollars in "urgent" recommendations. Finding Ronin Autowerks was the exact opposite experience. Noel Carbajal has been my service advisor twice now, and his transparency is incredible. He takes the time to walk through every recommendation, clearly distinguishing between immediate repair versus those that are safe to hold off within a certain time frame. No pressure, no hidden agendas--just straightforward, professional advice! Just recently, I went to the dealership because I have the 3-year pre-paid plan. However, they refused to help with an "oil top-off" warning and tried to charge me a $319 diagnostic fee for a potential leak. I drove straight to Ronin Autowerks and even without an appointment, Noel took care of it immediately. Ronin Autowerks is a small shop. Don't expect a lounge with selection of free beverages and spread of snacks while you wait for your car, but here is the bottom line: I would rather have a straightforward, honest advisor like Noel who saves me hundreds of dollars over some fancy amenities. If you want a shop that prioritizes your car and your wallet - this is the place! read more

One year later. Brought my car back for an oil change and a new battery. Found them last year when I had to do a repair on my R8. Now, they're my trusted source for anything maintenance and service requirement. Thank you Noel and Team for always providing quality work. read more

Ronin Autowerks - 2009 Audi R8. - Auto Repair Near Me - Fullerton, California

Disappointing experience with Ronin Automotive. I brought my 2014 BMW 328i in on August 6. The vehicle was not inspected until August 11. When I attempted to pick it up on August 13, I was told it was not ready, although I had previously been told it was ready. It was ready the following morning. I was charged $198 for reconnecting a wiring harness. Another shop later found wires still hanging/disconnected, and I also found leaking fluids and a mileage discrepancy. When I called to discuss these concerns and requested to speak with the owner, I was unable to do so. Overall, I was not satisfied with the service or communication. read more

Ronin Autowerks is hands down the best local place I've found to service my Audi Q7! They are honest, knowledgeable and provide an excellent service. This is the only place I will bring my car for service! read more

Shoutout to my man Kevin at Ronin Autowerks bro! Yesterday I had a scare of stripping my oil drain pan threads by over tightening and was freaking out, thought I needed a new pan from the dealer with 2 vile of Vaseline ready to take it up lol. Called up Ronin, they got my car in there and Kevin confidently worked on my F80 M3 and got that new threads installed professionally with a new oil change. Man, anytime someone need some quality work, I am telling you man Kevin is the most honest and skillful technician I've seen, and he's just calm and knows his stuff whenever there's some issues. This place is clean, easy parking and good quality work for the price etc. Keep it up fellas and thank you again. read more

This is for service done for a 2014 Mercedes Benz ML 350 - needed 6 spark plugs and coils replaced. I had requested a quote on work to be done through Yelp! Project and Noel from Ronin Autowerks was one of the first to reply with a quote. Quote was good and I liked that Ronin Autowerks specializes in German Vehicles. Noel did a great job. He had the car for a day. I ended up picking it up the next morning, which was completely fine. Overall it was nice to be connected as it turned out to be a really nice value from a time and cost standpoint point. read more

Awesome service and help by Noel. He quoted me on yelp and was able to schedule me for the same day and no upsells. I like how honest they are and free coffee and water is always a plus when you wait. read more

I brought my Mercedes to Ronin because I was told by another shop my turbo was leaking and might need to be replaced. I wanted a second opinion and Noel from Ronin helped me by taking a look at it. They assessed the "problem" and it did not need a turbo replacement like the other shop said. They said everything looks fine under there. They didn't even charge me for the second opinion! I think we have found our new shop. Honesty and reliability is hard to find and I think we found it. Thanks Noel! read more

After being rejected by 8 other automotive shops, they managed to help me fix my wheel stud issue on the same day. I have been stressing for weeks. Today they managed to take my stress away. Also extremely reasonable pricing for the services that they have done. I will 100% come back to this business with any more concerns. I give them seven out of five stars. read more

Was my 2015 mini cooper's primary car shop prior to last spring for 2 1/2 years before I moved out from OC since graduating college. I can definitely say this place is young lady approved as we women know that car shops love to upcharge/ scam + be intimidating towards women car owners. Luckily I've never had that experience here: I've gotten speedy help 6+ times from the team even for replacing minuscule details/missing parts on my car: My favorite worker was definitely the previous receptionist Harley who aided in my decision to be a regular here; I was sad when I heard she moved on to prioritize her personal life, but the new receptionist was awesome as well and the quality never faltered! Miss Ronin's Autowerks for sure now that I've moved and struggled to find reliable shops in the Coachella Valley. read more

Highly recommend Ronin Automotive. After being overcharged 10 times elsewhere for a VANOS solenoid repair that didn't even fix the issue, I brought my car here for a second opinion. They were honest, knowledgeable, and transparent. They properly diagnosed the problem, fixed it at a fair price, and even helped me document everything so I can pursue a refund. Professional, ethical, and truly customer-focused. read more

Experienced, knowledgeable and affordable. Highly recommend this place over a dealership for Mercedes. read more

It gives me peace of mind to have locals guys who understand my VW TDI! They specialize in European cars and have a lot of racing-type cars in their garage. I took my 2011 E350 sedan in and it was fixed with the B3 service required and I knew it smelled of gasoline every time I filled it up. Sure enough it had a leaking fuel pump. Been coming here for the past 3 years or so doing my routine oil change/service for my Mercedes. Staff is always super friendly and professional. Service prices are great compared to other European auto shops and you always leave feeling like your car got taken care of. As a woman, I feel very comfortable here since they're always transparent with the service details of your car. I will def recommend this place to anyone else looking for a reliable shop :) read more

Had some work done on my car recently, when I got home, I noticed my front dashcam was disconnected on purpose from this shop. After reviewing footage, they purposely unplugged it right when they pulled it up to the service bay. I wouldn't trust this place for service if the first thing they do is unplug a dashcam. Talk about shady service. How can they call themselves a German/luxury specialty shop if the mechanics they employ have something to hide. Do not trust this place for work on your vehicles. read more

Matt and his crew take great care of our classic BMWs. Definitely a good place to get your European car serviced.

Took in my VW Golf on the recommendation of my sis-in-law, who had her Mini serviced there. I was used to paying $1200 a shot at the dealership. Doing the regular service for my car at Ronin was not even 1/4 of that price. The reception area is ultra clean, staff very polite and accommodating. He ordered me a ride share so I didn't have to wait there. Appreciate that the approach was honest - my car didn't need anything extra done, he didn't try to oversell me anything I didn't need. Highly recommend Ronin; will definitely go back when it's time for my next service. read more

just had my older M Coupe serviced & rear subframe bushings replaced -- Matt & his crew continue to impress. Noel the service manager explained everything needed & the work was top notch, down to paint marks for re-torquing the bolts! I went to Ronin after my dealership quoted me an astronomical number to fix my car. It was either fix my Mini or opt to get a new vehicle. I decided to to get a second opinion and I am glad I did! Noel at Ronin not only made time to diagnose my car but walked me through the process. He also kept me updated as the repairs were made. With all said in done I got to kept my Mini, paid a fraction of what the dealership quoted and had a lovely experience. They went above and beyond to accommodate me. My 2011 Audi A5 2.0T started to stutter and misfire under acceleration. Ronin, compared to other German automotive independent shops I called and vetted instantly got me in, was very responsive, had a seamless point of sale system to view the diagnosis and repairs needed, and most importantly provided great customer service and value to my experience. My car needed a few things done to get it up and running again smoothly and now I can say it's running better than it has the last 2-3 years of ownership, all at a great price and with an accurate diagnosis. I'll be using Ronin for all of my needs moving forward. Thank you, Noel and the team at Ronin! -Tristan read more
