Had a horrible experience at a shop down the street. This is with an entirely factory car with NO modifications mind you. Took it here, explained why the previous shop had failed me (because I knew they'd see those failures on the report) and he said that the other shop doesn't know what they're talking about. They couldn't fail for those reasons. He was quick, got me in and out, and I'm on my way with a certificate! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I even asked him about another one of my cars that I've had getting a shop to smog (it's older, but entirely factory), and he told me to run it around a bit since it's been sitting and put a half tank of gas and he'd take care of it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I trust them to BE HONEST, which is all I can ask from a smog shop. read more

I ended up coming here after going to Grand Smog(Jamboree Smog), where they told me they couldn't perform the smog check since I had a Cat Shield on my car. I drive a Prius and put a Cat Shield on my vehicle a number of years ago to deter catalytic converter thieves, since Prius's are a primary target. I politely declined and advised him that I would just go somewhere else. I ended up coming to Orange Smog on Glassell and the kind gentleman here got me in and out in less than 15 minutes with no issues. Highly recommend. read more

Came here this morning around 9:15a & I just dropped by because I remember I needed to do a smog test for my car & this was the first place I seen on the way home. I get out the car, one customer is leaving as I'm entering. I enter & I see an older Asian guy with glasses (could be the owner or just a worker). I asked him how much was a smog test and he answered according to my car make and model. I was shocked at the prices because it was higher than it usually is- so I was "ooh ok", but he mentioned if my car "pass" the test or not, so then I became intrigued because I didn't know what that meant so I asked "what you mean if it pass?" then he says "well I'm just telling you, if you don't like it, u can go somewhere else or leave" ... I was so confused because WHAT? Over me asking him "what he meant by if it pass?" Yeah you damn sure ain't getting my money with that attitude. If you can't answer simple questions without an attitude and all the aggression then you in the wrong business sir. I was so shocked, I instantly backed out of the store and left. Idk what happened but it was definitely too early for the BS & rather than dish it back, I took my money elsewhere. But I highly DONT Recommend this place. That guy was rude and unprofessional! & I know exactly where the aggression came from but that's another conversation for another day... read more

Needed a STAR smog. Found this place on-line. Drove in, talked to Tim (owner/operator), and my smog check was completed in about 15 minutes. It's a bit more expensive that most other places and no coupons are offered, but the quick and friendly service are worth it. Easy and convenient for smog checks. Drove in and was done 20 minutes later. Only gets 4 stars and not the full 5 for the waiting area. It's not comfortable sitting in a little box on metal chairs. Don't waste your time here. (1) It's overpriced. I got a cert at a different station a few blocks away for less than half the price. (2) Not sure Tim knows what he's doing. The guy failed me only because my catalyst monitor wasn't ready. Emissions was good and CEL was off. In California, you can have one monitor not ready and still pass. I drove 500 miles in 2 weeks, came back and Tim told me I had to wait 25 minutes for a retest. Needless to say, I drove off and got it rechecked at a different station. read more

Best smog shop. Tim always does an accurate job and is honest. Prices are good and comparable to other smog shops in the area. Been coming here for years when I lived in OC and I still go there now and I trust Tim to take care of our vehicles' smog every time. I've referred my family members to come here as well.
