We take our diesel truck to Toma Smog. He is always so quick on getting the smog done. His prices seem really reasonable as well.

I came here a couple of years ago and although the price went up a little it still was the best deal around. He is very quiet but quick and efficient. I would recommend this place if you live in the Orange area. read more

Excellent service. Following all Covid safety protocols. No need to make an appointment and just wait if someone is ahead of you. I've come here before and will continue to patronize this shop. read more

A great little place to get your smog on! I came here on 8/23/15 to get my 1994 Suburban smog certified. This place had me in and out in about 45 minutes. Call before you come down to see what their schedule is like and bring cash or a check they don't do ATM or credit cards. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

It's a STAR station! Quick and easy service. It's in the 2nd driveway on your right when u turn onto Angus (just north of the railroad tracks), and the 4th garage spot straight ahead and on your right. The guy is very nice and already sent my report to the DMV! So now I can pay my renewal online and save the hassle of finding an envelope, a check, and a postage stamp. Thank you! read more

Toma Smog - 4th garage on your right. See the blue Smog Check sign on the ground? Park there. :) - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Orange, California

This location is about 3 bay doors past Citywide Auto Care. I pulled up, probably looking lost & was helped right away. Car was hooked up & smog check was in progress within 5 minutes. Employee (owner?) was friendly. It's a 'car garage' so it looks like one. Masks were worn & hand sanitizer bottles are sitting out in a few spots. Price was fair for a smog. Quick, efficient, effective. read more

The best service. Simple, inexpensive and FAST! Toma is a prince. The shop is small and convenient and easy to find. The cost was $50 and I challenge you to find a place that has better service at a better price in the area. A must for city of Orange residents! read more

I just found out today that I actually need to get a smog test at a Star Certified Smog Test Station (it says so on the top of my DMV Renewal Registration letter)! I have a 1996 Honda Accord with almost 290,000 miles and I would be lying if I said I was not a bit nervous! Although, I've religiously changed my oil and been using super grade gasoline lately, which I feel helped on the test! Joon was very quick and very professional! It only took him about 15 minutes! I was referred to Joon by his fellow mechanic Andy who also has a shop just steps away, called Socal Motor Works, who I recommend for car repairs! read more

Joon has been great! I have a lot of cars and whether they are new or old, Joon always helps me get them smogged. My latest truck has been an ordeal that I didn't even know I was getting into until Joon told me about the reasons it wouldn't pass. I spent the next two months fixing all the issues and learned quite a bit about the process of OBD-II Monitors lol. Joon was always very patient even when I lost my own patience due to the frustration of finding out the previous owner of my truck was dishonest. I was referred to Joon by Andy at SoCal Motor Works who is my go to guy for all Japanese cars! read more

Good guy. No frills (at all), but quick and easy smog at a fair price. I knew where he was located and it still took a minute to identify which shop was his. read more

Super fast, super easy! No frills, but excellent service. Will be back. Very reasonably priced! Jun only charged $55.00.

I called and got a quote for $45 so decided to take my car. The garage is a bit hidden surrounded by lots of other car garages so I got lost for a sec. He was working on a car, moved it, parked my car in his garage, I watched a few Instagram videos and bam he was done, aaand my car passed! Total came out to $48 bucks. The guy's got a sense of humor too. read more

Good place for a smog check in Orange. Took no more than 35 minutes that was because he was already working on someone else's car. He is really nice, helpful and the prices are much better than other places. Total bill was $48.95. We will definitely be going back here in the future. It is a little hard to find though so you may want to ask for clear directions. read more

Great for smog, amazing price and STAR Certified! The owner is quiet and there's a small language barrier but this doesn't affect his ability to provide amazing customer service. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so! There's rarely more than a 30 minute wait and I refer him to all my friends! read more

I've been bringing my vehicle to Toma Smog for at least its last 5 smog checks. I have found Toma to be nothing but fair, honest, knowledgeable, and most of all reasonable. As well he gives you prompt and courteous service. I don't hesitate to highly recommend anyone to take their vehicle to Toma to get a smog check. You WON'T be disappointed. read more

I called & was told to stop by in an hour. As soon as I got there, the service was so prompt. I was out in less than 20 minutes. Price is average comparison to all local smog checks I called. Highly recommend! FYI It's in the corner next to two other car service providers so the lot is extremely tight. read more

Brought my mazda in for a smog check. Was quick and friendly. Excellent price. Overall not much to say except I'm a satisfied customer

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! I'm reading these reviews and I'm wondering if they're talking about another Toma smog in orange, or if they recently sold the place to the dishonest jerk who I had to deal with. First, this guy was such a pain to deal with, the guy mumbled all the time and was very short with me. My car couldn't be tested since I had just replaced the battery, he said he had to charge me $45 dollars and then charge me only $15 the second time once it was ready to be tested. Nope...he wanted $45 again, since he said I didn't pass the second time around. (He couldve just done a system check to see if it was ready to be tested.) not a whole smog check again! VERY DISHONEST BUSINESS OWNER! WONT COME BACK HERE EVER. read more

Fast service and great price. Highly recommend

I always go to Toma Smog to get a certified smog check for my car registration. I went yesterday and it took less than 15 minutes! I called ahead of time to make sure he was free to take me but think they take walk in's too. Super nice owner, def recommend coming here. read more

These loosers won't even answer the phone to make an appointment. I am going elsewhere!!

I waited until the last minute to get a smog check for my registration (womp womp womp). So I called a few places and this place was by far the best price. The guy was super quick and even though there was a language barrier he was nice and asked me to sit down then came over with paperwork then a few minutes later I was out the door. I definitely recommend this smog station! read more

For years the DMV has been singling me out "randomly" to take my vehicles to a "test only" smog certification location. I guess I have been too compliant, so they decided to add another hoop for me to jump through to get my truck certified. This year I am required to go to a "STAR Certified Check Station". HUGE "time wasted" eye roll!!! Having gone to the same smog cert place for years, I didn't know where to go for STAR certified that wouldn't financially ream me (to the tune of $75+ for smog, certificate, and extra fee for large vehicle) for the honor of their "special" certification; so I checked Yelp reviews for a little advice. Toma Smog consistently received high ratings for quick service and reasonable cost, so I decided to give it a go. Happily, Yelp reviews for Toma Smog are spot on! No appointment necessary, in and out in fifteen minutes or less, passing results are sent to DMV immediately, AND there are no extra charges for larger vehicles. Toma charges $48.95 out the door for the smog test and certification. Next time, when CA DMV decides I need to go to STAR certified AND "test only" smog cert location, I will have all the bases covered with Toma. Thank you Toma for making the frustrating DMV a little easier to tolerate, and for doing so without bankrupting my budget. read more

Used to use this smog station as a regular for myself and sent friends and family as well, not anymore. Lazy and impossible to work with, if your car is Pre-2000 model year stay away, he will charge you extra and then eventually just won't feel like smogging the car again because its too much work....that's your job guy!! Oh and he likes to show up whenever he feels like it, last time I went in called the day before to make sure he was open at 9:30 didn't show up until after 10, because he was hungry and needed to stop at subway to get breakfast, what a joke. read more

Joon is awesome. He took care of us and we were in and out in about 30 minutes. He also looked at some things on the jeep free of charge. He also told me a couple ways that can help the performance of my jeep. read more
