ZERO STARS -- Deceptive, Unprofessional, and Disrespectful. We found this smog check location on SmogTips.com, which prominently advertises that they will beat any competitor's coupon. Based on that promise, we brought in a verified offer from a nearby location for $29.99 plus $8.95 for the certificate. When we presented the coupon, the employee snapped: "I don't give a f** what it says, I'm not giving it to you for that price."* That response speaks volumes. Not only is this a complete bait-and-switch, but it also constitutes a clear violation of FTC Truth in Advertising laws. They lure customers in under false pretenses, then refuse to honor their own advertised policies. That is illegal, unethical, and a direct breach of consumer trust. The employee's conduct was aggressive, vulgar, and completely unprofessional. No customer should be subjected to that kind of treatment -- especially after being misled by a fraudulent price match guarantee. I've filed a formal complaint with the FTC and will also be reporting this incident to SmogTips.com for false advertising and abusive behavior. If a business can't back up its own promotions, it shouldn't be allowed to advertise them in the first place. Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of honest, law-abiding smog check stations out there -- this is not one of them. read more

Recommended! Went for a smog check during a hot day- the ambient temperature was 95 degree. Bich offered me a cold water bottle to cool off. Although I forgot my DMV renewal document, he did it anyway. The service was very good. The smog check was finished In 20 minutes. The price was right. read more

I brought my car in for a smog showed him the coupon I have. He told me that the smog's are $80 now. I said OK I got this coupon for $20 and he said that's fine. I'll take it after smog was complete car passed he charges me $80 on my card even with the $20 discount. He told me that the prices on the wall are wrong. It was $79 for the smog check plus $8.50 for the electronic transfer and with a $20 coupon he charges me $80 for the smog and told me to have a nice day He would not refund any of my charge. read more

Today 10/05/2021 if there is less than one star I will rate the little vietnamese smog tech at this smog station. I will Do that! I went there of course for a smog and asked him how much and he said $62 so I said ok. Fyi: this is not my first time going to smog station. I have 9 cars doing smog every 2 years. I have a regular smog station to go to but sometimes I go to different stations too so I know the charges and everything and when they say the price it's everything including the certificate. This smog tech so he said $62 and I said ok. When doing the smog I was like looks like he doesn't know what he is doing. Another thing was when the smog was done he said $70. So I said that he said it's only $62 and he said No because of the certificate and I showed him another smog station only charges $50 including certificate The tech rudely said " I don't care" I am the only one here that can do 1999 and below. And he was yelling at me too and don't want to listen to what I was saying. Very rude tech. He is so hungry for money. He will ripp you off. Maybe because he has no customers so when somebody comes he is like He has a victim again. He will show you henis so nice and very respectful but if you say something about his charges his natural behavior and attitude will come out. My first and last to that smog station. Not recommended. SHADY- BEWARE! Seemed nice at first. He let us know that smog test failed and then refused to honor the online coupon but let us know that we could come back for a free recheck. We got a tune-up like he suggested and my daughter went back for the free recheck. When he finished he charged her $80 again! She tried to remind him that when we took the car the first time, that he said to bring it back for the free retest after we got the tune-up. He said she must pay because the machine is automatic and charges that he can't do anything about that. I went back to reason with him and he told me the same thing, "that he needs to charge because of the machine." Because I was upset he said to bring it back when we get the car fixed and he will retest for free. I asked for him to put it in writing and he refused. I was very upset to have wasted my time and gas going to this location just to try and be duped on pricing. I found the location online because of the coupon offered, so I called to verify the TOTAL pricing with the coupon for my specific vehichle type and was told $47. I called other places to get pricing and chose to come here because it had the best pricing (so I thought). I called back to check the wait time and was told I would be seen right away, I said great I'll be right over. I get there and was told as soon as I handed him my paperwork it would be $57, I told him that wasn't the pricing he had given me 10 minutes before on the phone. He said it was the additional cost for the certificate, I told him he should of told me that on the phone when I called and asked for total pricing with the coupon. He told me I could shop around but his price was still better than places around and I told him he wasn't because I had called 5 other nearby places and he was now the most expensive and was charging $10 for a certificate when other places charge $8.25. I let him know I would be posting this review because he wasted my time and gas, his response was " you wasted my time!" (he had no other customers that I could see at the time) So now customer service just dropped another star. Don't waste your time coming here. The first thing I mentioned to the smog tech is I have an aftermarket air intake with an EO number and would it be a problem. The tech said, "Not a problem," and takes my car. Ten minutes later, the tech comes up to me and says that he will not smog the vehicle because he, "Doesn't like the look of the air intake," even though he says there are no emissions issues with my car." I think: "Ok, you have that power, but why in the HELL did it take you ten minutes to decide not to smog the car while wasting expensive fuel as my car idled in the garage during that time." What a stupid fool.... I take my car and drive away but notice the "check engine" light is now on and there is this acrid smell of sweat in the car. I found a $20.00 off coupon on smogtips.com for All Smog Test Only Center in the city of Orange, which is located at the Valero gas station on Chapman Ave and Prospect Street. I called the location, and asked the Asian gentleman who answered the phone how much the smog check was. He told me that the test would be $25.00 with the coupon. So I printed the coupon and I headed over. I get there then he tells me that it will be $56.00 with the coupon. I told him no, and he just kept stating that he tests all day and pointed to a sign with prices. I told him that he lied to me about the price over the phone. He also wanted CASH only. I left and found another location in Santa Ana. Definitely avoid this location since the person running it doesn't seem to want to honor the phone quoted prices. read more

Found a coupon for his smog center and I called this morning 03/20/18, the Asian man that answered was very rude when I told him about it and just told me to go somewhere else. He said his price is $60, I found a place in La Habra ( 521 W. Imperial Hwy, La Habra Ca. 90631) that will do it for $30 out the door with a coupon you can find online. Super fast, easy smog check. The owner, Mr. Duong, is super nice, polite and courteous (i.e., he's competing for World's Nicest Man Award). Gave me a coupon price, even if I didn't have a coupon. Plus he gave me a tip that I didn't know before: if you have AAA insurance, you can go to any AAA office, hand the paperwork (the smog cert) and get your renewal sticker instantly. The guy at this station makes up prices and does not honor coupons. I called ahead to find out how much the smog inspection would be. I was told it would be $45. I then obtained a $20 off coupon from http://www.smogtips.com/, which was specifically for this station. When I showed up 15 minutes later, I was told the cost would be $52. When I said he'd just told me over the phone that it would be $45, he said, "oh, why didn't you say so, I speak to so many people on the phone." So he then said it would be $45. When I presented the $20 off coupon, he refused to honor it, and told me I should go someplace else.
