PROPANE rip off. Their propane has a tiered pricing $5.19 for about 2 gallons then $5.99 for 3 to 7 gallons etc. I filled up about 8 gallons and ended up paying $64. When I asked why it was about $15 more the clerk informed me that after a certain number of gallons you just get charged the exchange rate which is $30. I found an actual propane service site in Yorba Linda that charges about $3 a gallon no matter how many gallons you get. Buyer beware read more

These are criminals pretending to be mechanics. My car broke down on the freeway right next to this repair shop and they are called a tow truck to charge me 150 to tow my vehicle their even tho their is a free service to tow your car. The mechanic charges me diagnostic fee saying my transmission lines need to be replaced because they came off the cooler charges me over a 1000 dollars plus diagnostic fee. Let's me drive off saying it's fixed. Next day notice car is losing power and struggling. Thought it might the computer adjusting but it wasn't. Brought it back, now tells me the cooler that the transmission lines he replaced is leaking. And wants me to pay for it and new labor service. You can notice the cooler is completely leaking and he said he didn't notice it was leaking. He said he was a certified mechanic shop that can fix any car. He got angry at me and told me to get out and talk to the owner. Gave me a card, called the number and no one picks up, voice mail disconnected. My car isn't driveable, but he let me drive it off in that condition. This is more than negligence, it's criminal and I had to borrow money to get the repair done and it's not fixed. The most offensive part is a cooler replacement is relatively cheap, but refused to fix the problem without me paying for it again. He said talk to the owner of the gas station,whi has his Mercedes Benz and corvette parked on display in front of the mechanic shop. The owner I actually had a conversation with while I was waiting for the mechanic to tell me what's wrong with my car. Was saying you should work hard and thats how he got those cars. I thought about this and it makes me furious after being robbed and forced to leave a car that shouldnt be driven. Don't ever go here I want justice and I will be calling BBB, department of Justice, filing every lawsuit I can. I don't have money for the repairs, I can't work now because I can't drive. This ain't right and they won't help me. Don't support them by getting gas, they are low life committing fraud intentionally. I started going here only because my cleaners are in the strip mall next to them. From there, it's a super easy in and out, although turning left can be a bit of a pain. For me, the ease of getting into a pump is huge! The prices are a little higher than average, but I joined the fuel rewards club. Checking Gas Buddy while at the pump, they were only 5 cents more than Valero on Tustin which is usually the least expensive in the area. While I've never been inside the store or garage, the pumps and surrounding area is very clean. It looks like the pumps are new which helps. Still it's nice to see some with graffiti etched into the screens. All in all, I'll pay a little more to feel safe, not have cars dodging in and around me, and clean surroundings. read more

I own a gourmet food truck, went there for an emergency fill up for my propane! It was around 6:30pm on 12/27/14 and I called the gas station to make sure that they had propane available. I usually fill up at the 76 Shell off Dyer and the 55 freeway, cost us $1.99 a gallon plus tax. I asked the attendant/maybe owner how much per gallon and he gave me a run around that he would tell me after we fill up. I asked again and he then told me $4.99 a gallon. Very steep but on an emergency situation like mine, it's acceptable. Once we are done filling up, he asked me if I was going to pay with cash or card. I answered that we would be paying cash and he right away told me it was $60.00 I walked inside the store maybe thinking he was overcharging me my 10 gallons of propane. Once again he told me $60 and gave me a look like yeah, that's what it is. I confronted him about the price as written below: 10 gallons @ $4.99 = $49.90 $49.90 + 8% tax ($3.99) = $53.89 He was overcharging me $6.10 over what he should have. He made it very clear that was the new price because he had to go outside and fill up my propane, making him miss all his customers at the empty gas station. He even gave me the receipt just reading $60 propane, not clarifying the amount purchased or price per gallon. I told him it wasn't right that he was stealing from us and walked away. He still had the balls to ask for me to come back again some other time! Wtf???? Was this guy kidding???? And if you are buying on price, this is not your stop. But they do offer many other automotive services and they seem to take care of their personal vehicles quite well, they are mostly older toyotas. As someone who understands cars but isn't really skilled to fix them (not to mention lacking a garage), I have a big problem with the big shops... always way more than it should be and way slower than makes sense. Found this place for Yelp and I'm sold. Now to be clear, the shop will not impress you with it's customer lounge. There is not a sales greeting team to welcome you. You will not find wifi. Instead you'll be talking to guy who is in all likelihood about to work on your car. In my experience, they jam to do the work, call out what you don't need (find a dealer that does that) and do it for a price that's on the low side of that big shop option and car closer to DIY. You pay less for a guy who gets cars and will explain them to you. Rare find for OC car service. read more

Located right off the 55 Freeway. Looks like a normal gas station, but if you drive behind there's a full service station; they do oil changes, brakes, smog check/repairs, the works. Came in for a smog check (29.99+ 8.25 for certificate) at my dad's recommendation and ended up getting quite a bit more done. The mechanic who took my car in noted that my engine was squealing, so he did a free inspection on the spot. I ended up changing my serpentine belt and replacing my transmission fluid, which had managed to become almost pitch black. Finished in about an hour and a half, and had a nice chat with the head mechanic in the meantime. As a courtesy, they topped off all my fluids. I drove away with my car feeling quite a bit more responsive, the telltale whine that had plagued me for the past few months completely gone. Total came out to about 200 bucks (including the smog check), which after retrospectively shopping around, is pretty competitive. Compare this to nearby Toyota of Orange, which would've charged me 150 for just the belt or transmission drain alone. Highly recommend this place read more

STAY AWAY from this mechanic shop. The owner and the mechanic cheated me about $500.00. I first brought my car in for a coolant leak problem. the mechanic requesedt that I bought the part and brought it to him. He said he replaced the part and charged me $250 cash for labor. He provided me with no receipt. Since I was referred to him by a friend I trusted that everything was ok. 4 weeks later, I had the same problem.. This time the mechanic told me that I needed a fan clutch. I went in and bought a Fan Clutch per his request and brought to him. 6 hours later he told me that he could not fix the car. I request that he gave the parts to return to BMW. He did not. I called the owner to complain..He actually refused to give me my car until I paid them $80.00. I stayed without a car for 2 days. I ended up trading the car for which I received a low end value. All the new parts and false labor that I paid due to the mechanic incompetence and gross negligence went down the drain..!!! read more

After getting a bolt in my tire while getting my car washed at Nohl Ranch carwash, I went to this Shell station, drove around to the back & told them how distraught I was that the manager at the carwash wouldn't cover my costs, and they removed the bolt, patched the tire & filled the air up in about 10 minutes. I was really impressed so when I drove home & a neighbor told me my headlight was out, I went back there the next day. Again, I drove around back, someone walked up immediately & the same mechanic, Juan, fixed my light in about 10 minutes. I love that they don't waste any time here & are very reasonably priced. Initially, I came to this place not expecting much... Pennysaver coupon in hand. I was tired of driving clear down to Tustin Auto Ctr every time I needed service! Discovered it was much more than I'd thought it might be... indeed, it is a full service station, like the old days! I didn't think such a thing even existed anymore! I mean, I remember back in the day, going with my Dad when he'd take our old Chevy to his favorite mechanic in Lynwood... but I had no IDEA that I'd find such a place, decades later! I have had nearly all my service done at Villa Park Shell, since discovering this place. Their prices are fair, and for lots of the regular services, they almost always have good coupons in the Pennysaver! (that's how I found them in the 1st place!) And I must add, for any major service work that these guys have completed for me, when I've called to check prices with the Toyota or Chevy dealers, Villa Park Shell was ALWAYS more reasonable! I would recommend this place highly, you won't be sorry. Roberto, my regular mechanic, has been really helpful too. Doesn't recommend service I don't need, lets me know what can wait (or at least, what isn't urgent) - BUT, does tell me what my car NEEDS, and I really appreciate that!
