My family has been bringing all our cars here for several years with consistent dependable service and very fair pricing. We have always been pleased with their their care of our cars. The other night, my car's battery died in a nearby plaza. I called AAA but the service truck was an hour and half way. I called Troy and graciously offered to come by after he closed shop to give me a jump. He certainly didn't need to do that, and I'm sure I delayed him getting home to his family. My car wouldn't start after the recent rainstorms and I was stranded at a 7-Eleven at 3:30 in the afternoon. I called USAC for a tow and chose Main Auto Care from their list. While the tow driver was on the way, I asked if Main Auto Care was any good -- he said they were one of the best shops in Orange and a long-time family business.  I checked Yelp also and saw the were 4.7 Stars with 298 reviews. That immediately put me at ease. I spoke with Troy when the car arrived and explained what was going on. He told me they would look at it first thing the next morning. Around noon he called and clearly explained everything they found: a bad water temperature sensor, worn spark plugs and wires, and an intake hose with a large hole in it. I approved the repairs and he said it would be ready by noon the following day -- and it was. They called to let me know everything was finished and running perfectly. I picked it up and haven't had a single issue since. Main Auto Care is a keeper. Honest, professional, great communication, and they do exactly what they say they will do. Women beware! They will try to scam you out of thousands of dollars! I used to take my car here for regular oil changes. I naively approved a $900 job to fix some rattling in my engine.. I'm not convinced that was ever needed. Car was running fine, but it is what it is. Then I took my car back for a check engine light. Code was coming back as a misfire. Assumed it'd be an easy ignition coil fix... they quoted me for a $1,400 job! I took it somewhere else and got it fixed for $330. Car has no issues months later. Pretty sure I got scammed for the last job too. Glad I got the 2nd opinion. Never coming back. read more

I've been here a couple times before for the same issue. A few months ago, my front passenger wheel had a small hole. How and from what you may ask? No clue lol. I noticed one night while driving home that my air pressure was dramatically low. I knew about this place bc my bf gets his car services done here. Parking: This spot is located in a small corner with very limited parking. Careful while pulling in n out of this corner. Ambiance/Environment: They have a really small indoor space with some comfortable seating. I visited on a Friday morning, and they weren't too busy. I didn't have an appointment, but they were able to accommodate. Service: I was greeted by Troy (I think that's his name)? They had my profile in their system since I've been there once before. He usually quotes an overestimated wait time, but they're quick & efficient. I came in at 10:08, and they finished servicing my car at 10:26. Pricing: Thankfully I didn't have to replace my wheel. They patched it up and placed the wheel back on and put back the spare tire in my trunk. Total was $20. read more

Chill, easy oil change. They were a bit busy on a Monday evening. I called around 4:30 pm looking for a full synthetic oil change. The front desk person was nice and quick. My car stopped working on a highway nearby and when the tow truck dropped off my car at Main Auto, they were professional, accommodating, and communicative. We were greeted by Troy and it was very respectful and helpful. It was almost closing time and they took my car into the shop and allowed my family to stay in the lobby area until they were closed. They explained what was going on and they would be able to tell me the necessary next steps.
