Women are treated very well, they listen to you, maybe ask a few questions about the problem and then say we will take care of it for you. It was time for the Mid-Service on my 2016 Honda Accord with about 165,000 miles. I was in & out of there in about 2 hours. Karco is the ONLY place that I take my car to. They are as honest as the day is long. They don't "sell you service" that isn't needed, and if multiple non-routine items are needed they prioritize them for you so you can budget for new tire, brakes, alignment, etc. When the time comes to replace my Accord, I will only consider a Honda, Toyota, Lexus, or Acura because those are the only vehicles that Karco services. Ive been taking my Toyotas to Karco since about 1995 or so. They were referred to me by my coworker. I was severely traumatized by prior automechanics who would take all my money and never fix my cars. I walked in the door that first time and told Jay basically if he screwed me over like all the rest I would be very angry. I have been going there for 40 years, and always we could feel comfortable taking the cars on a drive vacation after Karco has check them out and tended to whatever was needed. We found out about this shop by accident while researching good mechanics since our dealers were asking for outrageous amounts of money to just perform the diagnostics. This place is a true gem and going forward we will trust our Lexuses to KarCo only. Jim is professional and worked with our schedules to take us in as soon as possible. They fixed my long-standing problem with tire sensors that no mechanic or tire place could fix. I was told that only dealers can reset those but decided to give one more try after reading KarCo reviews and before spending more than $1,000 for diagnostics only. I waited for an hour on the spot and got great news from Jim: the sensors were all in good shape just on the wrong tires and my bill came to $180! When my husband heard about this he decided to take his Lexus SUV for checkup because he could feel something was not right with the sound of the engine but, just like me, he was told to get the car to the dealer for diagnostics first. KarCo found the problem with the alternator, the belt and brakes. The previous multi-point checkups by multiple tire places and mechanics showed no issues. His car is now running like brand new! Month or two ago, I was at the O'Reilly's. And the people there, good natured folk, just couldn't help me at all. Basically, I couldn't get my oil changed over Christmas or the New Year and Genesis was running low. Baumin, forgot his first name, came out of nowhere and was the only one who knew how to lift the engine cover and lend me a helping hand in putting in an emergency supply of oil into my car in front of that O'Reilly's. It's been a rough time for me since then. That's why I hadn't left a review. But if this kid was was willing to help a complete stranger for something as dirtying (he got oil all over his hands cause of that) as that, then the establishment he works at knows to hire quality people. Every one of my friends I've referred to Karco has raved about their service. Several years ago I had a seat belt issue that occurred on a Saturday when Karco was closed, so I went to a Toyota dealership (Tustin Toyota). They said I needed to replace the entire seat belt mechanism at a cost of $500. I waited until Monday, and Karco fixed the problem (a simple twist in the belt) for $50 without changing out the unit. Save your money and time. I was told by terry that they didn't want my business unless I scheduled more with them than an oil change. What ? I was referred to them by a client. I went once before for an oil change. I do need brakes done but was going to discuss pricing during this upcoming oil change appointment. I'm a small business owner. My mechanic is gone for 4 months and it's possible I may need a new mechanic. And referral 101 - I am a referral and would probably refer you another customer! What are you doing ! This sounds like a MONEY GRAB. My overall experience with this place was not the greatest. Only reason why i came because i was referred by another mechanic. I will start with the positive. 1. Love how they have a Drop-off/ Pick-up transportation service. Only 1 positive. The lack of customer service from manager Tery Beaver was disappointing. i dropped my vehicle off to get inspected due to having issues with the lights coming on. He informed me his technicians weren't able to identify the issues and to do a further inspection would be costly, which i declined due to the year of my car. Moving forward when i went to pick-up my vehicle he informed me " While they were wrapping up they triggered my Engine light to come on" (HIS WORDS NOT MINE) 1st he stated when i start driving the light should come off, Then turned around and said well maybe in a couple of days. When i proceeded to ask him questions he started to get upset and talking over me. Then i asked if he could write down the issue of the situation so i can have what happened in writing which he refused. Then proceeded to continue to talk over me and ask why i need it in writing etc etc. Please be careful when dealing with any mechanic especially the ones who only have GOOD REVIEWS and no negatives should've been a RED FLAG for me from the beg.
