SCAM ARTIST, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! TECH EVEN THREATENED ME! Looked online for a smog place open on a Sunday and printed the online coupon. Went in to use online coupon, Tech said it was only valid for cash paying customers. Coupon doesn't say that anywhere. I used a credit card to pay. Thus i am not using the coupon or getting the coupon rate. The tech charged me above the coupon rate, then he said my vehicle needed a retest. Tech wouldn't even explain to me why vehicle failed the test. Asked tech about retest and he said that it would be at full cost--there is no free retest on the coupon. I told him it doesn't say that anywhere on the coupon and i didn't use the coupon because i didn't have cash on me like he said-- "i had to pay cash to use the coupon". Tech then said it was the coupon rate with a credit card charge. Very misleading as tech added prices and fees to the coupon as things happened. There was no full disclosure, and i didn't think i was using the coupon because i didn't pay cash like he said i had to in order to use the coupon as it was only good for cash paying customers. I told the tech that i did not agree to his fees and or like the fact that he was misleading. I turned around and started walking out of the building/business. The Tech who was Hispanic and had various tattoos yelled at me and said "COME ON" as to challenge me to a fight with his chest all puffed up. When i turned around and told him to do his best, he then picked up the phone and said are you threatening me? I said "no i am not" but i can defend myself and I will write a review on yelp and contest the charges. He then said "go ahead and ill sue you, you will never get your money back!". THE OWNER NEEDS TO REPLACE THIS TECH! HE IS COSTING THIS BUSINESS MONEY AND POTENTIALLY INCUR A LAWSUIT BY THREATENING TO FIGHT CUSTOMERS --ILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. You have been warned! read more

Came into get my car smog checked thinking the price would be around $20-30 after seeing an online ad. I get to the garage and the owner is visibly irritated about something, I can't really say. The man takes my information and informs me the price is $60 with taxes. I ask him about the deal I saw online and he got mad again demanding I show him the coupon and that he has no knowledge of the existence of such coupon (Even though he's the one who created the deal lol) After looking for it online for a while, the owner gets frustrated and caves and decides to give me the deal for $28. Great, so he knew all along. After that he pulls out paperwork and I asked for a minute to look over the fine print. He is visibly triggered by my simple request. He is mad that I'm taking too long reading the fine print. Kind of a sketchy sign if you're ever going to a new business for the first time btw, I want to know what I'm getting into before I sign. That is my right and I clearly communicated this to the owner. After that, the man is completely done, he decides to throw away the paperwork and kicks me out and says he doesnt want to do the smog check anymore. This story doesn't include the many insults the owner made towards me which doesn't really matter but it was surprising to see how this man held himself in front of customers. I would not recommend this business to any of my friends/relatives. I pray the owner is okay because I can tell there is something that is clearly making him upset. Thoughts and prayers go to him and his mental well-being. Update: I was looking through the other reviews of this store and sure enough other people ran into the same problem! The gentleman that was mad was a Vietnamese gentleman. Wasn't able to catch his name. You might see him if you go to the shop, not sure. read more

Ez Auto Test Only is currently under new ownership! And are now open on Sundays! Unfortunately the previous owners customer service was not up to par with the new owners, Amir. Hence the not so great Yelp reviews. But at the bottom of the page under "reviews not recommended" you'll find the most current views of this place. Most, or all, of them being 5 stars! Kind of strange they aren't posted to the main page, but hopefully people will take a look because this place is the best! You'll be treated respectably & courteously while offered something to drink while you wait. Also, Amir will kindly answer all of your questions, as the smog process can be a little confusing. There are also coupons available, which is always great. But the best part is the process is very quick. If your car does happen to fail, the owner & technician, Hahk, will be more than happy to explain things to you. You won't be leaving here being dissatisfied, trust me. If you're looking for a new regular smog location, this is it! I've referred all my friends & coworkers to this location. Well, after looking around Tustin and Santa Ana, I found this place. Called in to make sure their not busy and mentioned the coupon that they have online so there would not be any confusion when I got there. When I arrived the technician came up to me and said hello, how are you? :) I told him the day can not be much better and can you smog my car? He said gladly and asked for my DMV notice. I handed him the notice from DMV and he mentioned that this test will take around 15 min. I said fine and I will wait. He then directed me to the waiting area and offered me something to drink. Well, i declined and thanked him. He then went on and gave me an initial invoice.I asked him if in case the test fails due I get a free retest? He politely said no but at half the cost as they do not have free retest policy on coupons or on full price smog and the state does not require us to do so. I said that is acceptable. After 15 min, as he promised the test was done and I paid the technician. I thanked him and went home happy. I will recommend everyone here for their best customer service. read more

This place will fail your smog, charge full price and not offer any free retest. The same diagnosis was given by O'Reillys for FREE. Nassir is unprofessional, makes rude remarks and does not care to help in any way. Beware! This mechanic will rob you! I have always been offered a free retest due to uncontrollable circumstances. This location was closer to home so I wanted to test it. I have over 7 cars and would have enjoyed doing business with this shop, but their employees are terrible and lost a customer. EZ Smog deserves 0 stars for poor customer service and rude attitude from the worker. Especially no free retest and additional charges for a basic smog test. If they did free retest more customers would be happy. Instead I felt robbed. read more

Went to the shop on 10/18/2015, asked for a test on my car. While I was there on Sunday, I walked around to see what he was doing with my car and he politely asked me to come in if he wants to see what and how he was testing my car. So I went in and he offered me to seat next to the car. Well, I could not hesitate to ask more questions and he answered all to his best knowledge. The price is great 37 dollars cash or 3 dollar charge if you pay card. Still great price. Also asked him before the test if they offer free retest while I was there. But unfortunately they do not on coupon prices and is not the law. I totally agreed. Well great job and I will be back next time. Thank you:) read more

Was referred here by a friend. While there are smog stations closer to my home, I came here and it was worth the trip. Mike was great and got me in and out quickly. He explained everything he was doing clearly, and answered my questions for me. I felt like I could trust him with what he was doing on my car. I have never gotten this good service from a smog check station or any other automotive place he gave me some car tips, and I am definitely recommending it to my other friends. I recently had my car's smog test done at EZ AUTO TEST and I had a positive experience overall. The staff member Quach was friendly and efficient, and the test was completed in a timely manner. The results were accurate, and the technician explained everything clearly. The facility was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable waiting area. I would definitely recommend EZ AUTO TEST ONLY to others. My only suggestion for improvement would be to offer online appointment scheduling for added convenience. Set an appointment for 9:30am on a Saturday. I passed right by the entrance the first time without realizing it, but a quick U-Turn later, and I was back where I needed to be. I got there early, and they had just finished up with a customer, so they took me in straight away! In and out in about 10 minutes. The car passed, which was no surprise to me. The coupon was a nice help, keeping it all under $40. The staff was real friendly, and happy to help. Overall, a good experience. Would definitely recommend. read more

The friendliest staff ever i can't believe i even got a free soda while i was getting a smog check done, i listened to the guy that left a review about how he got a soda for free! apparently thats what they do for everyone. GREAT EXPERIENCE !! recently i took my Honda accord to EZ auto test for a smog check, and i'm really glad I did. Excellent service, the new owner was very friendly and helpful, he even offered me something drink while i was waiting for my car.prices are reasonable with a coupon.Service was pretty fast, I was in & out in about 20 minutes.
