Having to get your car smog tested isn't the most fun thing to do but this place makes it quick, painless and easy. They're open on weekdays and some Saturdays. You can make an appointment on their website but they also take walk-ins. We just showed up and there were a couple cars ahead of us, so we checked in on the tablet inside and didn't have to wait too long. This place is woman-owned which explains why it's nice and clean. Don't hesitate to come here when you need a smog check. Pro tip: If you show the coupon on their website, you can get the smog special for $46.75 plus the $8.25 certificate fee. read more

I had to get a smog check, and my husband told me about this place that's woman-owned, and the owner teaches people how to change their own oil. That's the kind of business I want to support. Making an appointment online was super easy, and when I went in, a cute sign pointed to the check in tablet. The waiting area is right in the garage, which is decorated with vintage photos and some very happy-looking plants. There's a fridge with complimentary beverages, which is always nice. The smog check was very fast. While checking the car over, Angie and I chatted a little bit. Go to Soco Smog Test! Oh btw they're located at the end of the drive. read more

10/10 experience! I always really dread doing any auto maintenance, but this was by far the most painless and pleasant experience! Customer service was wonderful, pricing was very fair, and the whole thing only took 15 minutes! Will definitely recommend to all my friends! read more

Great place to get a smog check. no-nonsense, and friendly. The only place I've been going for all 3 of our cars in the last few years.

Great experience. They were friendly and very efficient. I highly recommend them. Booking online was simple.

Another year of registration came and went, and we didn't realize we needed a smog test! My wife mentioned a spot near our house that she'd used before, so I took the car there this morning and was greeted by Angie Hernandez. She was super friendly, got me in right away without an appointment, and had the smog check done in about 15 minutes. Great recommendation by my wife! I'll be bringing all our cars here from now on. Most places make you feel like you're bothering them just by showing up, but here I was met with positive energy and a great conversation. Highly recommend this place for all your smog test needs! read more

Best smog place around! Let's face it, no one really looks forward to getting their car smogged but Angie makes it so easy and seamless. I've honestly looked forward to coming back and getting to support and chat with her. She's so kind and thoughtful making sure I'm comfortable while I'm waiting offering drinks and asking about my day. Wonderful service and the coupons make the price very fair. Shop is clean and the decor clearly has a woman's touch. I will only come here for my smog checks! Support women owned businesses when you can! I recommend this place to any and everyone! Thank you Angie! I'll see you in 2 years for my next smog haha read more

I needed to smog my 2013 Audi Q5. The check engine light was on which means automatic fail. So I took my car to my mechanic, Strom German Auto and got it fixed but now needed to smog it. My mechanic is in the same parking lot as Soco Smog Test and was HIGHLY recommended by my mechanic, so I rolled on over to check it out. The owner, Angie is so polite and courteous. She is friendly but also gets right down to business. It was finished before I could even finish the complimentary drink she offered me. When I checked out I couldn't believe the price! The whole service, DMV Certificate included was lower than the cash price that I haggled down to with the lowest smog shop I could find. She even beats Groupon. My car was in and out, (I watched the whole time. She has an open bay - see photo) and passed, paid, and was out the door in a flash. After my experience I can definitely say that she was highly recommended for good reason. I highly recommend her as well! read more

She taught basic DIY car maintenance like checking fluids, changing a tire, changing air filters, etc. I also had my smog test done here and was done in 15 minutes! SOCO Smog Test is honestly one of those rare little gems you want everyone to know about. Angela the owner is incredible. She's warm, kind, and instantly makes you feel taken care of. I love that it's women-owned, and you can genuinely feel the pride and care she puts into her business. I've never had an issue getting an appointment, and every time I go I'm in and out in about 15 minutes. No long waits, no hassle, just super straightforward and affordable- such a great deal, especially for how professional and friendly the service is. I recommend Angela to absolutely everyone. She was incredibly friendly, fast, and quick. It was one of the best places I've ever been. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

We had a scheduled appointment and when we arrived the power was down. She let us know it had been down roughly 20 minutes but she could let us know as soon as it was back up. Keep in mind we were excited to go here based on the fact it is woman owned and operated! So we just hung out at Mitsuwa next door and thankfully we were able to go back shortly after. She had us in and out within 15-20 minutes max. She's very professional and kind! I definitely recommend this shop for your smog test needs!! She also has drinks while you wait and cute benches inside. Come check it out! read more

I've been here 2 years ago and wow time flies. Today I stopped by to get my smog done again. After looking around all the other smog check stations in OC, I realized just how special Soco Smog Test really is. This place is owned by an owner who truly cares for her clients and their cars. I've never seen such clean and neat smog test station which I like. Angie knows how to operate my V10 BMW M6 coupe without needing me to explain. M6 needs driver to activate handbrake because it is manual car with automated clutch. Most people have no idea how to operate the car. I trust Angie with my car for life and I highly recommend Soco Smog Test to everyone! Prime location in OC and I am grateful for the help I got today again. Thank you read more
