My original review: Just tried this place for the first time. My stuff looks great, the staff was chill, and the whole process was simple. Afterthought: This was my first time using this dry cleaner and the experience felt pretty misleading. When I dropped off my items, I was told first-time customers get 20% off. When I came back to pick everything up a few days later, that discount was never applied and nobody mentioned it. At the counter I noticed a sign offering 25% off if you leave a Yelp review, so I did that instead. But the math didn't make sense. My total before the discount was $111.56 and after the "25% off" it came out to $96.02. When I asked about it, the employee simply pointed out that the promotion has fine print saying the discount is capped at $20. It wasn't explained when I was paying or when I asked about the promotion in the first place, and from the price I ended up paying it seems like some of my items probably didn't qualify for discounts? Otherwise the math did not add up at all. So basically the first-time customer discount I was originally told about disappeared, and the "25% Yelp discount" ended up being something very different once you actually look at the bill. If there are exclusions and caps, that should be explained clearly(verbally) instead of letting customers find out after the fact. Dry cleaning is expensive and I expected that. What I didn't expect was the confusing pricing and lack of transparency around the discounts. The whole situation just left me feeling like I got the short end of the deal. After this experience, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

This place is pretty expensive and like many expensive cleaners they done post a price list. One sort of gets the sense that they look you up and down and decide what to charge. They said the list price was $7.75 for most items (shirts, pants, etc.), or $29 or so for coats, and then offered a 20% "new customer discount" when I asked. They don't even give you a quote when you drop off unless you ask. I wasn't particularly impressed by the quality of the work either. Many stains didn't come out, which I can forgive because I think they were difficult stains, and they damaged a zipper pull. Everyone is quite friendly at least! Overall I think I'll try a different place next time. read more

Always liked this Dry Cleaners and recent visit took it to new heights for dry cleaning. I brought in two white work coats, stains were just not getting out in the wash. One jacket had gray blotches all over it and the other had green blotch bigger than silver dollar. Came in and the owner Jenny said will give it our best shot so I wasn't too optimistic but guess what? Picked them up to and they came out supreme so happy! I just dropped off a long wool coat requiring special dry cleaning because of the fox fur collar. Other places quoted 3 to 6 weeks and enormous prices. Univ Park Cleaners will have it back to me in one week at a small fraction of prices quoted elsewhere. And, they were really friendly and nice to me whereas others seemed very daunted by the task and not so nice. So glad to find this place! read more

I have been a customer here for 20 years. I dropped off a large order and asked if a few items could be ready in time for a vacation I was going on. They said sure and gave me a slip to pick up after 5pm on Saturday. I arrived at 5:11 and was shocked that they were closed after saying my order would be ready after 5. I was leaving the next morning and they were closed that day as well, so now all of the shirts I needed for my trip are locked inside. After I got home that evening, I had a text from Jenny offering to come back to the store at night for me, or apply a 25% discount. I said let me save us both the time and hassle of making a trip back so late at night. When I picked up my order, the person working was unable to apply a 25% discount. I texted Jenny and waited 10 minutes for a response. Then I decided to just pick up my order and hope she would refund me 25% of the order total the next day. I sent another text asking for the partial refund but it appears I've been ghosted. If saving $24 that she already offered me for such an inconvenience is really that big of a deal, they can keep the money, and this new Yelp review. They've silently raised prices and have nothing listed when you walk in. I heard from one of the employees that everyone pays a different rate and the owner has given long term customers (except me apparently) discounted rates in perpetuity, upon request, on a case-by-case basis. I think they are up to like $9-10 per shirt now, insanity. read more
