The store will tell you it is REQUIRED. IT IS NOT! The AI bot on the website says the permaplate protection is OPTIONAL and you can remove it before check out. Test drive it and then go home and buy it online where you can take your time with the paperwork. I appreciated how they kept me in the loop with texts during the process, which took a little less than an hour. I had made an appointment prior online which was a very easy process and definitely how I'll make all my future appointments. FYI, for anyone who's new to this dealership or unfamiliar with Birmingham: there are 2 bays/doors on the left on 13th Street North, which is a one way street. For Subaru service, enter the 2nd bay. Pull forward and someone will come out to assist. They'll move your vehicle to the service garage and when complete, they'll move your car to a parking space on 13th Avenue North. You receive a text when everything is complete and you just go to your service advisor and sign a document, pay, and you're done. I don't see how any part of this process could be any easier! Great dealership.

My Corvette sometimes wouldn't start, and I had just had an engine replaced in August. It turned out to be something as simple as the car being a manual transmission with a neutral lock--something no one at Edwards Chevrolet could tell me. This leads me to believe not only are the service clerks (Luci was a great clerk) unexperienced, but the technicians must not be very knowledgeable either. The service clerk Brooks literally told me over the phone, before he acted like a grown man, that no one wants to work on my car. I immediately replied, "Well then let me speak to a manager so I can figure out why." He then changed his attitude and started being professional all of a sudden. That made me suspicious. I told two managers at Edwards Chevrolet that their employee spoke to a customer in that way, and they didn't seem the slightest bit surprised. (Marty Phillips and a Mr. Short.) Manager Mr. Short at Edwards Chevrolet said there were cameras positioned at every bay and he would follow up with me to ensure there was no foul play with my vehicle on 10/16. Since then he's ignored my calls and texts. Marty Phillips didn't even care to investigate. He started mentioning how long everyone had worked there, as if that would prove I'm lying. After reviewing their work on October 16, I found three faults: Drained oil A hose that was detached and not placed back A connector disconnected from my starter I am a 27-year-old United States Army veteran, and I think this business is TRASH. No communication. No accountability. No integrity. I'm ashamed that an American business like Chevrolet is attached to Edwards. Very emotionally charged staff. Very unprofessional. Don't trust this dealership.

ONE STAR -- Extremely Disappointing Experience... possibly deceptive practices…read more My experience with Birmingham Luxury Motors was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. A mistake was made on their end, but instead of simply acknowledging it and working toward a fair solution, they tried to make it sound like there was an issue with the vehicle history report. I personally followed up with three other car dealers, and all three confirmed that the Carfax was perfectly clear. Even after that, Birmingham Luxury Motors would not concede to what I felt was a very reasonable $1,500 adjustment. Instead, I felt like I was being lowballed while the explanation for the situation continued to change. The communication was just as frustrating. I repeatedly had to chase them for updates instead of being kept informed. Andy was particularly difficult to deal with, and while Mary is apparently brand new, the overall handling of the transaction made an already frustrating situation even worse. When you're dealing with a luxury vehicle purchase, transparency, communication, and accountability should be the bare minimum. I did not feel I received any of those here. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend doing your homework and considering other dealerships before doing business with Birmingham Luxury Motors.

**AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Sold Me a Damaged Tesla, Stole My Tax Money, Then Ghosted**…read more Bought a 2022 Tesla Model S from Birmingham Luxury Motors in March 2025. Currently out thousands of dollars with a car that's STILL broken. Here's my experience: **THE BAIT & SWITCH** Salesman Jimmy guaranteed the car was "mint" with the tilt-screen feature I specifically wanted (have it in writing). After my deposit, took days to send videos - which conveniently avoided showing any damage. Should've walked then. **WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DELIVERED** After keeping my money for days of "final inspections" before shipping to SC: * Front suspension clanking loudly (major mechanical failure) * Steering wheel looked like a dog's chew toy * Water inside the taillight (yes, really) * Center console broken * Hood paint damage * Rear fender collision damage * Missing the tilt-screen Jimmy swore was there Manager Andy's solution? "Call Tesla, they'll fix it." Not kidding. **THE REPAIR NIGHTMARE** Spent 5 days over multiple trips to Tesla Savannah. They had to: - Remove the ENTIRE front end - Tear out the whole center console - Major suspension work Tesla tech said he'd never seen a dealer sell a car in this condition. It's still not right. **THE LIES & BROKEN PROMISES** Andy promised (all documented): Paint repair reimbursement Compensation for missing features Travel expense reimbursement Would "call right back after checking with management" Plot twist: Andy IS management. That was May. Still waiting. **REGISTRATION DISASTER** - Took them a MONTH to even start paperwork - Gave me fake temp tags printed on copy paper - Got pulled over (cop was not happy) - 62 days and 3 DMV trips to get registered - Andy's response: "Don't worry about it!" while I'm driving illegally **THE ACTUAL THEFT** Paid BLM $859 for "state taxes." Had to pay $884 AGAIN at DMV because they never sent it to the state. They returned $300 and kept $584 of MY money. That's not a mistake - that's theft. **CURRENT STATUS** Haven't responded since June. Complete radio silence. Owe me thousands in documented damages. **PRO TIP:** When you leave your review, expect a generic response about how "management takes this seriously." They don't. It's a bot. I fell for it. **BOTTOM LINE:** This isn't just bad service - it's fraud. They knowingly sold a damaged car, stole tax money, and disappeared. Currently pursuing their dealer bond and legal action. Find ANY other dealer. Even Craigslist would be safer. --- *Documentation available. Ask me anything about this nightmare.*
