Went in to Med Center Mazda purchase a CX-5, new off the lot because of some advertised promotional pricing. When I got there, I showed them the advertised price. After negotiating and the addition of fees and warranties, I got the feeling that they were not honoring their advertisement. Went to Hilary Mazda to compare. The overall pricing was legitimately $10k lower than Med Center Mazda and the customer service was three notches above Med Center Mazda. I would advise shopping Hiley Mazda of Huntsville. I purchased a 2025 Mazda CX-90 Sport on 9/13/2025 from Med Center Mazda, in Pelham, AL. From day one, I've had vibrations in the rear of the vehicle. I informed Rubin, who is the salesman, about the situation. He stated maybe the wheels need to be balanced. I ended up taking the vehicle back on 9/16/2025, to try to correct this problem. They said that they balanced the tire, and did not correct the problem. On a planned visit back to the dealership on 09/25/2025, coordinated by the salesman Rubin to have the vehicle serviced again about the vibrations, they kept the vehicle and said that they would let me know when it would be ready. During this visit, I was given a courtesy vehicle to drive by Rubin, the salesman, However, Rubin gave me an older model courtesy vehicle that was filthy on the outside and inside. It had trash and dog hair on the inside. This was unacceptable, so I had to return back home to get my second vehicle to turn the new one in for servicing. On 09/26/2025, they called and said my vehicle was ready, Todd, the service manager said that it was fixed. After picking the vehicle up, the problem was still there, and I informed Todd that it was still doing the same thing. After the test drive I took it back to the dealership and spoke with Todd the Service manager. He stated, there was nothing else he could do for me. I sent Rubin a text on 9/16/25 and 9/30/25 about smelling gas near the rear tire on the driver's side. None of these issues have been resolved as of today 10/15/25. Just for the record, I have reached out to corporate, and was given a case manager, but did not get any results from that either. The case manager stated to me that they could not get in touch with anyone at Med Center Mazda. They stated that the case is in review. These are only a few of the issues that I'm having with this brand new Mazda that I purchased from MedCenter Mazda in Pelham, AL. I bought my daughter a used Mazda 3. Got a great price and the deal didn't take long. That was in 2015 though. The sales guy wasRon I think. Anyway, I serviced the Mazda 3 and my CX9 there for oil changes and repairs. Always had a fantastic service, honest and good. But, when the coolant somehow started to leak into the oil, my engine was doomed. To change the $50 part, they needed to take the whole engine out to the tune of $2500, or get a new/used engine for $5K. But, they lowballed me into buy the car from me at a ridiculous price of $3500, after I spent years servicing 2 cars there. Sleezy sales practice! read more

My Mazda had a misfire, and I took it to the Pelham dealership. The staff were polite, and the facility was clean, but I had to follow up multiple times over several days to get any updates. Took my brand new Mazda back with less than 18,000 miles on it was told that extreme uneven brake pad where was completely normal. On my rear right brake pads one was completely stripped down to the metal. The opposite side of the same brake had about 95% left. The mechanics told me this was absolutely acceptable and normal for one side of your break to wear out faster than the other they jeopardize safety, integrity loyalty The vehicle was still within warranty. I live in Calif. Had my 2006 "NC" MX5 serviced last year by a dealer here; got new front brake pads & resurfacing there for an exorbitant cost. Now need rear pads & resurfacing. Called two different Mazda dealers here to find out what kind of pads are the OEM's and how much they charge for the job. Both agreed rear OEM's are NFY7-26-48ZB; One they're organic, the other said semi-metallic, then both eventually admitted they were pretty much guessing and really didn't know. Blech. Also, both quoted 2 (TWO) hrs labor (at Calif ridiculous prices) plus $135 for the rear pads. I found Med Center Mazda surfing for my pads -- their Chat was super-friendly, they gave me the Parts Dept number, Barry (a really wonderful, patient, knowledgeable guy) knew For Sure these are Semi-Metallic (YAY) and quoted me under-$102 including shipping and everything (under-$60 for their "value" line but I like the real thing). So as soon as I know I can find a shop near me (California) who will install brake pads I buy from them (Alabama) and not rip me off for a 2-hour labor charge when the job takes just an hour, I'll order the pads. UGH! SERVICE DEPT. SUCKS. I called and made an appointment to have my CX-5 reviewed for engine knocking sounds, and it's under warranty. I sat for 2 hours, and no service consultant even bothered to advise what me as to what was going on. I then went to the service desk, asked about my vehicle and they told me they were performing the oil change, but didn't mention anything about my concern. An hour later, I went BACK to the service department and asked what the circumstances were since no one bothered to let me know. My car was done, I don't believe they actually performed a diagnostic check - they just told me that it was fine....meanwhile, it's worse. As I left to go home, I turned on my windshield wipers to clean my windshield, and they didn't even replenish my fluids. LAME! Tony did a great job of selling me a bunch of lies. I bought a car from this establishment while still in a loan on another vehicle. He told me that I needed to pay another payment on the previous car and that they would send me a refund with that amount. He lied. Then the manager Tracy told me there was nothing he could do to recover the money I was told I would have refunded. Also they sold me a car that the tire was leaking air, but since it had been freezing cold, I thought the temp change had affected the tire pressure. After a week of continuous leaking the tire store informed me it was a recent recent terrible patch work job. So I had a tire blow out in my new car . To top this off, my father asked for my spare key to go get me a new tire and have the wheel fixed.... THE SPARE KEY WAS DEAD. Either that or the spare for my vehicle belongs to another.Do yourself a favor and don't deal with this snake of a business!!!! read more

Arrived today for an oil change and waiting in the service but No representative came out to greet us after waiting for a few minutes so my daughter walked in to the office only to find 4 works just sitting around and told her to wait but then one rep asked her what she needed very rudely so she stated an oil change so he told her they where very busy with 15 cars ahead of her at 8:00 am in the morning so my daughter stater maybe 4hours he maybe so we left. Med Center Mazda has recently gone through a huge renovation. Gone is the garish orange and green. It's been replaced by a sleek black and white design. Inside, the space feels like a corporate event center with numerous glassed in conference rooms. It's a huge step forward for the most part but it feels like you've walked into the set of a Stanley Kubrick film. Add a milk bar or a chimp smashing bones and the look would be complete. As a returning customer in for service, I miss the more quiet and private customer waiting area. It's been replaced by an open seating area right inside the front door. You're on display for everyone coming into the store and it's very loud. The new seating area also lacks power jacks or usb charging ports so be sure to be fully charged before coming in. On the plus side, there is a cooler full of complementary beverages and a basket with chips. The service staff is friendly and efficient and if you like the Ludwig Von you'll be right at home. read more

This is the most honest and straightforward car buying experience that we have ever had. We located a hard to find model at Med-Center, which is 400 miles from our home. I negotiated the entire deal with Matt through email, including our trade and financing. Once the deal was agreed upon, Joey jumped in and made sure that all of the details were handled for our arrival a few days later. Matt and Joey were always available and quickly responded to all of our questions. Once we arrived we found that the deal was exactly as quoted, no games whatsoever. So my wife and I just replaced both of our cars with two CX-9s. This was a great experience for both of us. The process took a little time, but this was mostly due to both of us having a lot of questions about the vehicles, warranties, prepaid maintenance, etc.. We worked with a guy by the name of Will Lastrapes, and he really knew his stuff when it came to his product. The paperwork was the quickest part of the process which was a relief given the past experience I have had at other dealerships. I even had questions after the purchase and Will responded to my emails within 30 minutes. I have zero complaints about the process, product, or professionalism that I experienced with the buying process. Will and his team did such a great job that my in-laws bought a CX-9 as well. Loved my Mazda until this dealership became the only game in town. Service department rarely answers the phone, messages are not responded to, in person interaction is devoid of any semblance of customer service. When repairs are not made after paying for them management indicates that cost of repair dictates level of displeasure from client, not lack of repair! Visited Med Center Mazda to look at a used van I had seen online. Initial contact was with Anthony by phone. He was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival at the dealership I was treated kinda like royalty even though I was only interested in a $15,000 used vehicle. I could not buy the vehicle without my wife seeing it the next day cause she stayed home. Anthony said for me to take it home and bring it back the next day. He even took the van and filled it up with gas for my trip. We returned the next day and had decided to buy the van. We were guided through the process and they gave us more than a fair price for our trade in. The finance guy made suggestions to help us get the best possible finance rate available. The whole process was virtually painless and didn't take long at all. In addition, the facility itself was impressive, very clean and all the staff practiced proper COVID precautions. They even provided snacks and drinks during our brief stay in the waiting area. My one regret was that we didn't buy a Mazda as I'm sure we would have been very happy with their service department too! read more

Nice folks, but they have held my car hostage for 2+ months awaiting ONE part--and they still don't see it shipped or unable to provide an ETA. The Mazda is 10 years old which is not that old for a used car. I'd be ok with this if they offered me a loaner but they refuse to offer any alternative. Worse yet, my wife's brand new mazda is in a different shop held hostage for weeks waiting for a different part. That's two cars held hostage--all because Mazda can't get their act together. I've escalated to corporate and they have promised to expedite but have proven of no help. The good news is I've learned something: Don't buy Mazda vehicles ever. Ever. read more

This Mazda dealership has proven itself to be the absolute worst worst places I have ever taken a car. When I first arrived I parked in a customer parking spot and starting walking towards the doors two men came out and I stated I was there for a service appointment. The man holding the door said "Oh. Drive around", pointed, then shut the door. When I drove around there was nobody to tell me what to do or where to leave my car. After a few minutes I finally went back inside, the man at the service desk did not greet me whatsoever, then took my keys and said they'll run a diagnostic and I can just wait (without telling where to wait or anything). After three hours pass I decide to go back to the desk for an update given nobody has come to update or talk to me, though a worker had talked to the 2 other customers as soon as they arrived and left. After three hours pass and nobody had come to talk to me or update me over the status of my service I returned to the service desk only to be met with extreme attitude by one worker. I had stated I would like an update as it had been 3 hours and he snapped at me saying that because he didn't do my intake I needed to ask the other associate, who was on the phone (as to why I didn't ask him first). The other associate, who initially did my intake form, stated that they did update me through a text message. Not once was I informed at any point I would be getting texts along with those texts being the next process and that I needed to fill out everything. The communication was extremely poor and something you would never think to find at a dealership. The staff overall was just very rude and clearly was only interested in you if you were going to be spending thousands on a new car. I am highly disappointed by the professionalism, communication, and information this Mazda dealership put forth. Extremely disappointing and not the quality you expect when choosing a dealership over other service companies. read more

I shopped for an affordable SUV because I take my three dogs as many places as I can.....and they're hard on a vehicle. I looked at three other brands before going to see the Mazda CX-5. I was greatly impressed by the design, both inside and out. Mine has an amazing complement of safety and convenience features for it's price point. It performs smoothly, quietly, and comfortably, but is really fun to drive. It's an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus. It looks and feels like a much more expensive car. There was no other choice that came close. The folks at Med Center Mazda were very accommodating and assisted me without uncomfortable tactics. I received excellent customer service from Med Center Mazda. I was looking online for a vehicle that I had decided on. I corresponded with Matt, the Sale's Manger, who was extremely nice. He answered questions through a series of emails and gave me a price when I requested it. I set up an appointment and Dewayne was my Salesman as I test drove my vehicle and made my decision. I met Matt in person, also, and he was great. Dewayne was an outstanding tutor in all of the electronic enhancements and operation of the vehicle. After my purchase, he set up my vehicle specifically for me and told me to call any time with questions. His knowledge was amazing and he was very engaging and nice. The financial manger was very nice as well. One thing that I did not experience at Med Center Mazda was a high pressure sale. The people here provide you with all the information you need and and you make the decision. Great customer service when we bought our CX-5. They didn't pressure us or stalk us around the dealership as we looked at various vehicles. Our sales man was great took us on as many test drives as we needed without complaint. Came back to get our first oil change (free first oil change!) and the side window deflectors installed. It is a bit of a drive to come here, so if the customer service wasn't so nice, we wouldn't come here for our service needs. My experience here at med Mazda was a great one I had to bring my car in to get my breaks fixed and I didn't want to take it to just anywhere one of the guys at the front desk was very helpful and showed me where to take my car to get it serviced. The only nice thing about this place was the sales woman that greeted us and the bathrooms. We had a blow out on our way home from pcb, we stopped here to get the car back on the road. The service advisor Barry was very rude as we tried to explain to him what we needed. We had purchased the new tire outside of the dealership, so all we needed was for the old tire to be taking off and the new tire that we brought with us to be put on. We arrived at 12:58 pm and it's a little after 2 and still haven't gotten outta here. They also informed us that the tire sensor was broken, which happened while they were servicing the car. We live a little over 2 hours away , so waiting around all day for a simple tire change isn't what we wanted to do. I wouldn't recommend this service department to anyone. read more
