I receive my neighbors mail several times a week. I am getting tired of treating the staff here like children by doing their job for them. Too many times I have delivered my neighbors mail to them all the way down the street. When I received mail addressed to someone 20 minutes away, I just threw it in the trash. This issue has been happening for at least two years with no end in sight. I am 100% my mail has been delivered to random houses as well. There is no logical reason to hire dyslexic people to deliver mail. And it is NOT difficult to double check FOUR numbers. Literal children could do better than this if they were legally able to drive. The incompetence with the staff here is astounding. I suggest firing the whole staff and doing a full reset. HORRIBLE. I stood by the pickup door for 15 min, rang the bell THREE TIMES and no one would come to the door. Finally decided to ask the lady at the window (whom knew I've been standing there and ringing the bell), she went back and came back in a second and basically told me I need to keep ringing the freaking bell bc she needs to help the customer in line, who just got there. Great service great people. It's a post office... if you go during peak hours it's going to be slow. Not the employees, RATHER customers are not prepared for what they want or which service. Terrible customer service, you can since the low morale as soon as you walk in the woman in the pick up department refused to give me my package under my business name while also trying to get me to accept a package that wasn't even under my legal name. Provided ID verified addresses and tracking numbers and she's proceeds to act like I'm doing something wrong when she's not even thorough with her job to begin with. This post office is, without a doubt, the worst I have ever encountered. As a retired veteran who has moved frequently, that truly says a lot. The issues range from not receiving my mail, receiving my neighbor's mail, or even mail meant for someone else in the same community but with a completely different address. To make matters worse, the employees exhibit a nonchalant and uncaring attitude when approached for help with undelivered mail, making every interaction a nightmare. read more

Did you know that the phone number aligned to your local post office goes to a call center? That works well for efficiency and I can give credit for that. Did you know that the center closed at 7:30 Eastern time? Well, if you call during their working hours, then that data point isn't quite evident. However, when you've waited 35 minutes for an agent (when you were advised by the IVR that it would be 17 minutes) and the call is hung up on you at exactly 730 ET. You might call back in only find all of this out. Nice! So why the call? My local post office sat out "shoebox" size boxes in which you pay one fee for the contents. However once I went online to pay, that size was not listed. It was frustrating to have their box and no option to pay, therefore I made the call. As I really need to send off this package and no time to hang at the PO at 830CT (as I have professional obligations), I had to come up with another solution. I do like using Priority Mail online to prep my mail for drop off the next day. If I need self services at the location, it is easy to use. Adding a late night or later hours on Saturday would be customer-friendly. read more

This post office is terrible. They delivered two wrong packages to my house in 2 days. One from Shutterfly and one medical kit. I am also missing my package that they claim was delivered. The self proclaimed manager (she wouldn't give me her name) was very rude. The post office should be properly funded so they can hire professional help, not rude idiots who hate their job and their customers. Can we give zero stars. read more

It does the job. The sign on the door says must wear masks and that only 10 people in lobby at a time. At least 25 when I was here... some not wearing masks. Signage is definitely not enforced. I'll still keep coming here though. read more

So I have never sent a package internationally. I mean I have, but my usual method is just telling someone else to do it. This particular package was different, as it needed to get to my son's base literally across the planet in a timely manner. Normally I order from Amazon Prime and it takes 2 weeks, but this was a unique and expertly curated assortment of items such as fun stuff to do during deployment and special edition Oreo Cadbury eggs. FYI there is only one Easter Bunny in the family and spoiler alert, that's me. My day went long and I found myself at a UPS store being told it was gonna be at least 15 days and $140, but something just didn't seem right and I pictured the items I spent a month putting together lost in the ether and a sad empty handed kid. At that moment I remembered a conversation with other military moms about the post office offering a more affordable and trackable option. I arrived 30 minutes before close and there was a line out the door. I didn't know which forms to start with and I had nowhere to rest the giant 15 pound box in my arms. I was worried because there were only 2 guys working the front and assumed they'd just stop at closing and kick me out. I don't cry often but I was pretty close. I got to the front and humbly admitted I was clueless and asked for help - they couldn't have been nicer while explaining the customs forms and measuring and weighing and going over insurance options (it's not wise to send a basket full of plastic camo eggs stuffed with $20's but I did it). I was able to finish the forms and not wait in line again. The address I had been using was APO (he's Navy but on a small team stationed on an Air Force Base) and the system changed it to FPO. They assured me it was fine and I let them be the experts. BONUS it was only $40! After freaking out for 6 days I got a text that it arrived sooner than expected - yay!!! Thank you post office, for saving me $100 and giving me peace of mind for future shipments. I did notice one thing about the clerks at this place (and most places) - you get what you give. All day they deal with people angry about issues which have zero to do with them specifically. If you yell at them for something they have no control over it helps no one, so don't expect sympathy. If you review this location, please review that service, not the USPS in general, and despite your frustration try to check your attitude at the door. #benice #remembereveryonedeployed read more

Today's visit: 2:15 pm Only one person in front of me at will call window to pick up package. Waited approximately two minutes picked up package without incident or problem. Additionally, the person attending the window told me thank you. There was no smile or pleasant greeting but, this was a massive improvement. Increasing writing from one star to grudging three. (May be a stretch) Previous visit: Poor communication skills. Poor customer service skills. Witnessed incidents where customers were being verbally disrespected in the line waiting to post mail and purchase services. Line at the Will-call window was very long with the door closed and no acknowledgment. The employee that was supposed to be attending the window did not come to it but finally someone else did. Watched the two people in front of me treated badly. My package was damaged even though it was shipped in USPS Provided packaging directly at a USPS office. It left in pristine shape. Looks like it was run over by a truck. No customer service. Was told that there was nothing I could do about this except return the package. No mechanism to file a complaint with Management. Do not support the local United States Post Office in the future. Please choose some other carrier. read more

Believe all the negative reviews on here. These people are incompetent and slow. I ordered a package around Christmas and that was unable to get delivered (said it could not be left in a secure location) and had them schedule a redelivery for the next day - no big deal. Except when the next day came around I never got my package. No updates, messages, nothing. I ended up having to go down there and get it myself where I had to wait 2 HOURS for them to find it. I hoped this was just a fluke and I wouldn't have to do this again. WELL HERE WE ARE I just ordered some dog toys that were supposed to be here on Monday of last week (7 days ago) and the exact same thing happened again. "Package was unable to be left in a secure location". Which I don't understand because I've had no problems getting packages from any other carriers. I live in an apartment and they're supposed to drop it off at the package depot but somehow the drivers are too incompetent to understand what to do so they just give up and say it's undeliverable. When it didn't get delivered on Monday I set a reschedule for Tuesday. When Tuesday came around and I had no updates from USPS about my package, I called them and had THEM set the redelivery AGAIN for Friday. Friday came around and still didn't get any updates about my package and where it was or what was going on. So now I'm going to have to over there AGAIN after work and hopefully they can find it before they close. These people need to find jobs somewhere else. Give the jobs to monkeys, they could probably do it better. UPDATE: When I went to get my package, the Dutch door employee was super nice and found my package immediately, so that was helpful. The supervisor also called me to explain that this location apparently doesn't do re-deliveries (didn't say why) and tried to tell me it wasn't able to get delivered the first time because I didn't have a locker at the package depot. When I told him I did, his response was "I don't know then, I was on leave". No apology either, just a terrible explanation but at least I got some sort of closure. Today is 3/11 - Tracking info states package has been sitting in Plano post office since 3/8 (scheduled delivery date). No one ever answers the phone. Where is my mail!? Update - Glad you asked! Many occasions I receive other people's mail. I have informed our local mail man and have even handed him the mail back. Not all Arabic names are the same people. I get mail that has Arabic names but the names don't even Rhyme! It's bull crap! My sister sent me a $50 gift card! Obviously he put he mail in someone else's mailbox. That person stole my Christmas gift and put my mail up to be put back in my box. Or, the mailman stole my gift!! Not cool. How many more mistakes? If I'm getting the wrong mail! Walked in at 8:35 this morning to a line for the counter with 12 people in it, ONE clerk working. 5 people in line for the package door, no one would answer. It is amazing they are still in business with competition from UPS and FedEx. You would think they know enough that Monday morning will be busy, but apparently not. There are never enough people at the counter so either they need more people working or they need to deploy staff more effectively. This location is legendary for being undermanned with lines out the door. I am going to try again this afternoon to pick up my package, will post an update then. read more

Awful experience!!! I was signed up to receive notifications for a package that was supposed to come on 1/25 but then I got an update saying it was moved to 1/26, so I left my house to run errands and of course about 20 minutes later I get a notification saying they tried to deliver my package, but nobody was home to sign! I requested redelivery for 1/26 and they didn't do it. The following Monday (today) I came to the post office with my pink slip and my package is nowhere to be found! I asked the man at the dutch door if he could call the mail courier to see if they possibly took it out today for redelivery, and he couldn't get in touch. The man at the Dutch door just had me write down my contact info on a scrap piece of paper... not feeling too confident that they'll find my parcel. I'm probably out $60 since they can't find it. read more

Roll the dice. Pick a number. Flip a coin. Whatever you use to gauge your luck, do it before you come. The odds of getting 1. Good service 2. Having machines that work and 3. Things going according to plan once you leave are about as good as the lottery. It's a total crap shoot. Sometimes I walk in, use the machine and I'm out. Others like today, it's wait 6 people for a machine that doesn't work, then stand in another line to get told the machine could have helped me. Its easy. I cannot emphasize how unrealizable USPS is, I have had multiple packages since 1/30 and I have not received my package till today. They claim there wasn't a safe delivery location but we have a mailroom and mail lockers in my apartment. This was new to me as I had had packages delivered to my door before from usps. Absolutely rude employees, trying to blame me for my packages being delivered. I can't even type everything that happened, this is the first review I have ever written. The mail carrier that goes to Custer Rd and Ridgeview area is a baddie. I never...never....neeeeveeeerrrrr get my packages. They are always "undeliverable" or returned to the post office for pick up, which is BS! I have complained to the local and district office and nothing has changed. There is nothing wrong with my address and my packages are addressed correctly. I never get a delivery attempt notice either. They have no idea what they are doing there. I hope they don't get overpaid since they can do their job correctly the first time around. Once I was even home waiting for my package, which they should have knocked on my door.. they didn't.. they just sent it back to Hedgecoxe for me to waste my life at. Thanks USPS for sucking. So I put a B'day card (16th b'day) and a CONGRATULATIONS card to my wonderfully,handsome nephew....who was not only having his 16th b'day but also a celebration for achieving academic greatness ! I mailed a $25 gas card & in a separate envelope a $100 Pappadeux's gift card ( He loves that restaurant) and , well he received the $25 gift card but NOT the $100 gift card......Well DAMN! Worst. Post. Office. EVER! 1. My mailman ALI almost never gets out of his car to deliver my packages that won't fit in the box or need a signature. He just puts the packing slip in the mailbox so I have to go up there and pick it up. One time I waited for him to ring the bell and I saw him driving by, not even attempting to deliver the package. When I chased him down he yelled at me telling me to get back and wait. Exactly what I need as I go through chemo... NOT! 2. I talked to management several times. Sometimes things improve, but they eventually go back to normal. Like him not taking my letters or not delivering packages. 3. What is with the people in the pickup line. I was waiting ten minutes for her to locate a certified letter, then she comes out saying she can't find it. Um? Really? What does that have to do with me? 4. Stop returning my cards because they "don't have enough postage" because they do. It's a thank you card, it only needs one stamp. 5. I get other people's mail almost daily! When I write wrong address on there Ali never takes them!! I end up driving to my old post office and mailing from there. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Avoid at all costs! read more

So rude. They won't even help you 2 minutes before the opening time. "9 o'clock," they said to me. And now I've waited 4 minutes PAST the opening time, and they still won't open the doors. Also, I tried buying stamps through the machine. After 12 minutes of waiting for a woman to figure out how to print a label, the machine broke. It was the only machine here... My mail person never brings my packages to my door I always have to go pick them up. This is a big inconvenience! He or She always says no access but I'm home 24/7 especially during Covid lock down but he or she never attempts to deliver.
