Uniroom was founded in Los Angeles in 2014 and has spent more than a decade operating furnished rentals across the Los Angeles area. What began as a hands-on furnished housing operation has grown into an experienced rental management platform built around the realities of extended-stay living — pricing, occupancy, leasing, resident support, maintenance, and day-to-day operations.
Years of managing furnished residences have shaped the way we think about multifamily properties today. Meet the Business Owner: Xiaofeng X.
Xiaofeng “Nick” Xu founded Uniroom after moving to Los Angeles in 2014. Before starting the company, Nick worked in strategy, operations, and financial systems at Lenovo — experience that shaped his systems-oriented approach to rental management.
Since founding Uniroom, Nick has remained closely involved in the operating details of furnished rentals, from pricing and occupancy to resident experience, maintenance, and technology. More than a decade of hands-on experience has led to Uniroom’s current focus: helping multifamily owners operate entire apartment buildings as professionally managed furnished rental communities.
Nick’s approach is built around a simple idea: successful furnished rental management is not just about filling units — it requires a disciplined operating system that brings together the property, residents, pricing, service, and day-to-day execution.
