I moved into this apartment complex in June 2020, and stayed here for a year. To summarize everything before getting into a detailed breakdown: This place isn't worth it. The company running this facility will try to nickle and dime you for everything imaginable from paying for trash service you don't use to water through some magical estimate. The management will try their best to rip you off of your deposit and has 0 communication skills. The building itself is basically a run down shack with a new coat of paint and appliances installed, but you can't hide the structural issues like water pipes leaking all over the garage, and walls creaking and cracking constantly like the place is about to collapse. Long summary: When I initially moved in, my AC was broken. The management did not check if my unit had working AC and fix the issue before I signed. I moved in the middle of June and the apartment became a furnace. It took over a month and multiple visits from an AC company to fix the problem. In the end, a completely new unit was installed and a giant hole formed on my ceiling from water damage of the previous unit. In the end, when I moved out, I was charged for repainting the apartment, even though their AC unit had damaged the ceiling. I still had to pay rent this whole time that my AC was busted and the apartment was uninhabitable at 100+ degrees. Heavy noise and crazy homeless in immediate surrounding.The apartment is located next to a 24/7 gas station which attracts seedy individuals at odd hours of the night. There were several times I'd wake up at 3-4 AM to someone's LOUD, REPEATED screams from the street. The other side of the apartment is an abandoned lot where homeless will camp and squat as well. The walls are so thin I can hear neighbors walking, flushing the toilet, turning on showers, and listening to music or TV. The soundproofing is bad. I am a light sleeper so I would get only 2-3 hours sleep on a regular basis. Poor communication. Numerous times I have sent an email to the office which would go unanswered for over a week. I would stop by the front office during work hours and nobody would be in. I tried to reach out to the management several times about 3-4 months prior to my lease expiring to go over renewal terms and determine if I would be staying or moving out. The management denied my requests until exactly 30 days prior to the lease ending, this gave me little time to decide. In the end, my move was very rushed and stressed. Because I heard the terms 30 days before lease termination, I still needed about a week to decide on if I wanted to stay or move. I finally made my decision to leave 16 days before lease termination and then I was told I had to pay an additional 2 weeks of rent because I did not give a 30 day notice to move out. I was annoyed by this because nobody had mentioned this prior, I would have had to respond the same day I got the lease terms to avoid charges, and all my prior attempts to discuss the lease renewal terms had been denied. Sus deposit charges. I did a walk through on move-out and the management said there was no cleaning issues. I had cleaned very thoroughly and the place was spotless, but I still got charged $300 for "cleaning" with no explanation. If stuff needed to be cleaned, why wasn't it mentioned on the walk through? When I first moved in, I was told that I could make modifications to the apartment like painting walls. Due to this statement, I changed my kitchen where I painted the shelves to match the white paint and added some new shelves and pegs because I love to cook a lot. On moving out, the management did a 180 and told me that the shelves had to be removed and the area's paint restored back to the original. I probably spent close to 300 to make the shelves and given enough time and a clear estimate on the cost I'd have to pay if it wasn't fixed, I could have fixed it myself or hired someone but the management was not transparent nor did they make a serious effort to try to keep me in the loop. I constantly tried to get in touch but all I got was radio silence. I was given a 1 line bill for $1200 with no breakdown of cost, like materials or labor. In the end, there is no way I could ever recommend anyone to live at these apartments after the experience I had. My husband and I rent an apartment at the Thistle Apartments. We own a condo in Pasadena that we AirBnB and own a business in Monrovia. We need a place to stay when we are in town from Northern Cali. We started with a "micro apartment," due to the cost, but it was just too small to live in. We eventually upgraded to a one bedroom. The complex itself is amazing. The grounds and landscape are gorgeous and well maintained and I always feel safe. There is ample gated parking and a nice passcode locked mail area. The downside is that it is right next to a funky ARCO that has weirdos hang out there all night long and homeless people. It is also right next to the freeway so you always hear the hum of the cars. The walls in the units are really really thin so you can hear your neighbors pretty well. The units are overpriced for what you get but that being said you are within walking distance to the mall and Old Town Pasadena. The units themselves are nice. They are all the same with the same floor laminate and white walls with black trim. The walls are really soft from being painted over and over again making it impossible not to damage the walls when you hang stuff. I HATE that the hallway lights outside are so bright they shine right into your windows at night. If feels like daytime at night. But we hung some blackout curtains and that made all the difference. Overall the management is super attentive to your needs and quick to handle any problems you have. They are just super busy because of all the tenants in the building but they quickly resolved some plumbing issues we had. Overall we like our apartment. It is overpriced but so are all the apartments in Pasadena especially close to Old Town. So good luck finding something cheaper in the area. We tried. I do agree that the complex nickels and dimes you for everything. They seems to have a bunch of "because we can" fees. I wish they did not do that because there is no way they are not making money hand over fist with these rental prices. It would be nice if they offered some "complimentary" services. I moved in a few months ago and could not be happier!! Like others I was a little troubled by some of the reviews but decided I would schedule a viewing as the price was right. Manager Catherine Trujillo was so patient and professional, so my wife and I decided to apply. Now we have a hard time believing any of the negative reviews were true as we've concluded that these people have either tried to move in, somehow not approved or where to difficult or problem residents. 'Thistle team makes you feel part of a community, I've become close friends with my next door neighbors. Herbert, Thistle's maintenance technician, is really funny, professional and not your average handyman. My garbage disposal was recently broken, that's because my wife decided chicken bones can go down the garbage disposal, & you don't question the wife. She obviously broke it so the next day I sent an email out requesting Maintenance around 10am, Catherifixed by 12pm. Herbert did give my wife a lecture that hot-wings are not to be placed down the garbage disposal, a happy moment for me. Building is consistently clean by cleaning lady Victoria, also very kind. During the evenings my wife and I make it point to eat outside. It's also a pretty quiet building, I can hear my neighbors during the day but around 10 pm it starts to calm down. Thistle does have a strict quiet hours as we heard from Catherine when my neighbors complained about us while hanging a picture frame at 12AM. Again my wife's decision to use a hammer. The next morning we went downstairs to apologize to our neighbors, so they fed us muffins and the rest is history. Thistle team recently hosted an outdoor movie night. Really appreciated this! I'm so tired of being inside. I would highly recommend Thistle, most if not all residents couldn't be happier. Ask the people that live here! Side note: We pay $2095 for a 1bedroom/bathroom, which is reasonable in comparable to this area. There's also guest parking! We have been living here since the beginning of the year and have so far enjoyed being here. It's great walking distance to many things including old town, the paseo, and city hall. The building has underground parking. Trash services that comes by Sunday-Thursday. A nice little gym with all brand new equipment and laundry room on site. We also have a package room with locker service which is great. We have never had any issues with anything being stolen or missing. Catherine is very friendly and tries her hardest to always help out if ever we need something looked at or fixed. I have texted her early in the morning, or late at night and she has always been great at getting back to me. I have even knocked on her door (after office hours.) for assistance with the laundry room. And she has always been more than happy to help! Personally we have had nothing but good/positive experiences with her. Other staff like Vicky (cleaning lady.) are super sweet as well. & she does such a great job of cleaning up after all of us. I always see her working hard to keep the apartments nice and clean. Herbert (maintenance man.) always greets you with a smile on his face and you'll always see him working around the building. Other pros: pet friendly, can purchase extra car parking space, or storage on site. There is also a dog wash in our laundry room. & a built in bbq coming soon. The apartments also did a $500 raffle to help out with rent during the pandemic and we won that was really nice! Before all of this during Valentine's Day they had a residents party that was a cute idea. Now all of that makes the apartment nice to live in. Some cons because I have to be honest. The apartment has thin walls I can definitely hear my neighbors, doors closing, microwaves going off, and TVs. But I do think everyone is pretty respectful and I never hear any loud noises pass a certain time and the apartments are pretty quiet. The materials that were used to make the apartment are not the best we have definitely had issues with our windows not closing properly. Catherine did call someone to come fix right away but it's been hard to get people to come out with Covid and honestly I don't care to have people come in my place right now. Other cons: no guest parking so it makes it hard when people want to come visit. We are located next to a gas station so you will see homeless people out front almost everyday. That can be a little scary if you're walking back home at night. All in all we enjoy living here. & are realistic about what to expect with apartment living. read more

Please don't be fooled by these bribed reviews. Thistle sent an email blast to residents who hadn't had major issues with their units, bribing them with $100 to post a review. As you can see from the dates on all these reviews and the attached photo, all but ONE review from an actual resident was 1 or 2 stars prior to management offering this deal. Read the real reviews that weren't bought by property management. I came to Thistle planning to live here long-term and was gone within two months. I normally love apartment living and accept many of the challenges that come with it, but living at Thistle was truly beyond anything I was prepared for. My "brand new" appliances were either installed incorrectly or defective - the dishwasher (which didn't turn on), fridge (which frequently made a rattling noise that other residents have confirmed also experiencing) and the AC (which shut off one day about a month prior to me moving out and was not fixed prior to me leaving). My bathroom sink was installed incorrectly and flooded the bathroom the first morning I moved in. The hot water system is inefficient and many units, including mine, have a difficult time getting hot water at times. The walls are incredibly thin, like unbelievably so. You will hear everything from your neighboring units from the TV, to conversations, the microwave, the shower and possibly even them using the restroom (gross but true!). There's only one wifi option and it constantly acts up, kicking you off without notice and sometimes staying off for up to hours at a time. A real bummer in the work from home era! There are many unsealed cracks/crevices around that allow critters into your apartment. I was lucky enough not to have experienced rats but I did have some spiders and silverfish. The external maintenance vendors were routinely disrespectful of my time and privacy, and Thistle property management only seemed to encourage that type of behavior. For example, instead of coordinating with the HVAC vendor to reschedule my appointment after they failed to show up or notify me, the property manager gave the vendor my cell phone number for them to contact me directly without my consent. To be honest, there were also several red flags prior to me even arriving. For example, my first inquiry for availability went unanswered, the property manager agreed to call me back on my second inquiry for availability and never did, the leasing agent made several errors in calculating how much money I owed and how much rent would be, and I was given a lease to sign with information for another resident. I thought all of these might be simple mistakes but after living there, I see that it's part of an overall culture of unprofessionalism and disorganization. Virtually every written communication from them was riddled with typos, grammatical errors, etc. I was also consistently left off mass communications to residents. The level of professionalism and service you'd expect from a complex of this price range just wasn't there. I'd also caution people who use wheelchairs about the accessibility here. I'm not sure if it's ADA-compliant but the elevator can only be accessed by entering an elevator bay that has two traditional doors and no automatic opener. There is no way to access the elevator without physically opening the door first to let yourself in. Also, as of June 2020 when I left, the posted elevator permit had an expiration date of 2015. In the short time that I was here, the elevator was out of order for several days, and on several other occasions, the elevator was either slow to come or did not come at all. I have the privilege of not needing to rely on an elevator for accessibility, and I couldn't imagine the frustration of this elevator if I didn't have that privilege. Herbert in maintenance is awesome. He does his absolute best to try to quickly fix everything for everyone - not an easy feat in a complex with this many maintenance issues! This place has potential but the property manager is awful. That said, she seems to be the standard for Moss & Company, which has abysmal reviews across Southern California. I had to chase down my security deposit because as the deadline approached, Thistle had made no effort to return it. Christina from corporate said that she confirmed the deposit was sent but it's been almost a week (and past their legal deadline to return the deposit) and I haven't received anything. When approached about the fact that they were past due, Christina had no proof that it was ever sent. If you're thinking about leasing, don't. If you know you want to live in the area, drive around and get complex names/numbers. There's a ton of housing options in the area (including options that are way cheaper and rat-free ... seriously look at some of the other reviews) that will make for a more comfortable home. This apartment complex is disappointing to say the least. On the surface, it does look very nice. The grounds decently kept, bright and open floor plans, and nice aesthetics. Instagramable common places, if you're into that sort of thing. This is where the positives end. Close inspection of the units shows sloppy work, haphazardly put together with little to no oversight. There are gaps where the screens should meet the window frames that allow bugs in, and gaps along the doors so gaping that you can easily see the outside (picture attached). There are cracks along the caulking, which is odd since this place was just renovated. And my front door rattles so much when the wind blows that I honestly thought someone was trying to enter my apartment my first week here. Contractors left some sort of sticky residue on the floors that I am still trying to scrub off 4 months later, and the toilet paper holder was practically hanging off the wall when I first moved in. That same toilet paper holder was fixed, but fixed so poorly that cracks are starting to reappear around where it is anchored into the wall. The shoddy construction also left several gaping holes in the wall behind the washer/dryer, allowing RATS to get inside. When I first notified management about the rats, it took several days to get maintenance to come, and they just patched the holes with foam. The rats chewed through at least one patch, and they had to come patch it again. I still do not have sufficient information or follow up on if/when these rats will be eliminated from the complex, and as far as I know, the rats are still happily living in the walls. These large gaps also have allowed for spiders to come in. I've killed one every few days and gotten a couple nasty spider bites as a result of living with them. If that's not enough, I have just recently had ants, which I discovered by finding them crawling all over my bed. They ended up in the bed, kitchen, and bathroom. I had one crawling on my foot as I attempted to work just two days ago. In regards to management response, they did come by to seal openings (read add more foam) and an exterminator was scheduled for yesterday. I was told to expect him between 9-11 am, and I had to completely tear apart my apartment so that all my cabinets were empty and all my furniture was away from the wall. This is not an easy feat in a tiny studio. I rearranged my whole day to accommodate the exterminators, despite still having to attempt to work from home while all my belongings are piled up in the middle of my apartment. They did not show. When I reached out to management, I was told at 11:20 that there was a delay and that they would arrive before 5pm but possibly 1-2pm. Meanwhile I cannot access anything in my apartment due to the prep (this includes food and dishes) and I have to reschedule several appointments and am working sitting on my floor. The exterminator did not arrive until just after 2pm, meaning I could not return to the apartment until after 6pm. In addition to all these pest issues, I was told upon move in that WiFi would be available through two carriers by March and given a mobile hotspot to work off of in the interim. The hotspot was horrible and didn't hold signal which was especially problematic when many of us transitioned to work from home (well past March 1st). We finally got "enterprise" internet in May, which will disconnect from my work laptop every couple of hours and drop me from virtual meetings. I've called spectrum twice (the only provider that I am aware we have) who have been unable to resolve my problem. Lastly, the walls are INCREDIBLY thin. The whole place feels like it was built of cardboard. My apartment is right next to the stairs, and the whole apartment shakes when people allow the stairwell door to close too hard. I can hear everything in the apartment above me and the apartment next to me, including the sound of their microwave going off and footsteps next door. Sound carries through the walls so badly that the next door tv will echo throughout the whole apartment. Also, it sounds like you are underwater if you are lucky enough to be in the bathroom when the upstairs neighbor takes a shower. Overall, living here is not only not worth the price point but it is also exhausting. Chasing around management for updates on when vendors or technicians will arrive or calling vendors yourself for an issue feels like a full time job. And when you're not doing that, you get to feel like you are living WITH your neighbors because the walls are just that thin. I've never lived anywhere so disorganized and unprofessional. They overpromise and underdeliver time after time, and I can't wait to leave. read more

We were so excited to visit this complex. So excited that we were even willing to apply on the spot if it was as great as it looked. Their website looked amazing, the photos looked great. However, upon arriving it was very different. The complex outside looked great and love that they have underground parking. We eventually found our way to the leasing office which was very compact and untidy. You could barely open the door without hitting the person in the chair. The keys were everywhere and just felt very disorganized. The person that helped us however was very friendly. The pricing options were amazing ... IF the units looked like the floor plan. The photos on their site looked great and the floor plans made the unit look spacious. When we viewed the units, it was completely opposite. The floors were very uneven and had cheap linoleum flooring. I could also reach the ceiling? I'm under 6ft so that's a very low ceiling. The units with a "yard" was also just mud instead of grass as their floor plans made it out to be. Some units also had shared balconies. These units are definitely not worth what they are currently going for (1x1 large $2,200 and 2x1 $2,550). Overall, sad that it didn't turn out to be what we expected. read more

I've been living here for few months now. Overall, a pretty quiet building and really nice neighbors. You can expect noise, it's not noise proof. If you don't want to be disturb live on the top floor or rent a home. It's almost impossible to live anywhere with no noise traveling. I email all my maintenance request. It's addressed the same day. Herbert maintenance guy is the nicest person you'll ever meet. I couldn't be happier here! Maintenance turnaround time: 1-3days All my Utilities cost around: $150 (water, power, trash, trash service, internet/cable and sewer) When you come check this place out, I would say make your own judgment. Based on my experience and neighbors Thistle is great! I did run into issues with my AC but they had someone out the same day and fixed within a 2 days. Zero stars. Horrible management, unresponsive when needed and at the end of your lease term they will try everything to steal money from you. I lived in 5 different apartment buildings. No other apartment buildings charges you for wall painting fee that management themselves are suppose to cover. Not here, they will just take it out of your security deposit at the end without telling you how much. On top of that a cleaning fee. They tried to take $445 from me when NOTHING was damaged. I had to call Moss Management to get it resolved because Catherine the manager of the building is a snake. Tell you one thing, but behind your back does the complete opposite of agreement. DISHONEST PEOPLE WHTHIN MANAGEMENT. Absolute worse apartment I have ever lived in. Cheap interiors, thin walls, thin floors, I can hear neighbors sneezing, flushing the toilet, and no I am not exaggerating. Save your energy and time. read more

Currently living in Thistle, also have my friends moving to Thistle. The community is nice and dog-friendly, and the interior of each unit is brand new. I like the minimalist style of the interior. There is certain drawbacks, as others said the management team is usually not accessible through phone call. Me and my friend also found that at the time we moved in. But when we actually live here, the manager is very responsive and accessible on text. The maintenance team is very fast in response. Overall we are having a good time in thistle and I recommend people reach to the manager by email/text or walk by her office. She is a little bit busy but very kind and nice. read more

I'm saddened by all these positive reviews. I'm writing again so that prospective residents know the truth. As a human being, it would be irresponsible of me to not notify others of the scheming going on behind the scenes. If you're considering where to live, know that everyone writing good reviews was likely bribed to write a good review. All of them popped up after we wrote poor reviews so Thistle's rating would go up. It used to be 2.5 stars, now it's 4. That's how immature and childish Catherine is in her manager role. She clearly asked people to write reviews, go look at the timestamps. Want additional proof that this place is horrible? Click at the top of my review "see # photos" if you want to see the truth about this place. This complex is being curated by Catherine. I'm convinced at this point that service requests are made in the order Catherine likes the residents, which is extremely classist, and if so, very illegal. I'm going to make sure even after I leave that this place gets what it deserves as right now living here is in violation of any tenants' lease. I almost feel sorry for all the people leaving positive reviews because once we leave, the issues are just going to shift and congregate to those who remain. After all, there are only like 15 units occupied and the rats and ants have to go somewhere. It's not just about this place being new with some "hiccups" it's that 6 months in we still have these "hiccups". Catherine hasn't been proactive although she loves to say she has even though it was my partner and I who truly eradicated the rats and ants in our own unit. And if other residents don't have issues, this may further prove my point that some are getting maintenance requests quicker than others. I hope all the people who live here writing such nice reviews never have to go through what we did, but honestly, Thistle seems to be like a horror movie where everyone thinks they're fine until it's too late. I personally don't want some poor child or dog to get bit by a rat in the future but it seems like they're headed that way. By the way, the rats are here because Thistle was built in place of a homeless encampment, which is confirmed by Moss and Company, you can call them and they won't deny it. They "relocated" all the homeless so I feel gross having given this company any sort of money for such a horrible decision. I am in the progress of scheduling someone from the Code of Compliance office to come inspect this complex to look at how broken everything is, and for the sake of the residents still here. I truly have nothing against anyone writing positive reviews I just feel super bad because I can guarantee you'll understand one day. Some apartments clearly were built incorrectly and too quickly, and that makes it not only inhabitable but a complete violation of our lease in which case my partner and I deserve a lot more money than we're getting. Moss and Company need to know that despite what I feel towards Catherine, in her role as a manager, she still sold us this unit and said what she did in her messages. I feel angry, cheated, and disgusted at the level of unprofessionalism. She blames residents for her memory that actually isn't that good, and prioritizes the residents she and her fiancé are friends with. It's like living with people who peaked in high school here, and no one has time for that. My boyfriend fell in love with Thistle after seeing a Craigslist add. We immediately called and were told that we would be, "perfect tenants." On the phone, we were told that the 2 bedroom units were around 1000 square feet. However when we arrived to look at the property we found out the 2 bedroom units were closer to 800 square feet. At this point I was understanding and it seemed like a simple mistake. However, what followed was clearly a pattern of sharing inaccurate facts, and VERY slow communication. To the point that we pulled out of moving into Thistle and found housing elsewhere. There were multiple instances where I left a voicemail and it took them 3ish days to call me back, or I was told one thing by an employee and told the exact opposite by the next employee. Also, when we were sent our lease it was riddled with errors: the wrong apartment number was listed throughout, wrong move-in date, necessary parts were left blank, etc. I was hesitant to post, hoping that was just a one off experience with them, but after seeing a majority of the reviews it seems that we all experienced the same type of treatment. If I could give -250,000 stars I would. CATHERINE IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I contacted her prior to moving in to my new place and asked her to delete my information and not to take the application fee out of my account as we were no longer interested in becoming residents of thistle apartments in Pasadena. She then proceeded to tell me that she needs me to text her my forwarding address for my refund for my application fee and said she would send me an email with a confirmation. It's now been four days and I haven't received that email or refund. This company is completely unprofessional and it's disgusting. When I spoke to her again she said "oh that's ridiculous why would we need $80." She continued to ask me why I'm so upset. I've never heard of a company asking you to text your forwarding address. There's something not right going on here. Since I have a lot of time on my hands, I will be looking into it. That's not a property manager and that's not someone that anybody should want running their property. I feel sorry for all the reviews I've seen about rats and ants because that's just disgusting and no one should have to live in filth like that!!! I FOUND A BETTER PLACE. It has amazing amenities and its next door to the Americana in Glendale. It's 1925 right now and NO RATS LIKE THIS CRAPHOLE. I'm Concerned about someone like Catherine having access to my personal information. Catherine is terrible. However, I did get an email saying my rent is due and I don't even live In the building. I have repeatedly told them to delete my information. I'm very concerned now. Who knows what they're doing with it. Update #2: They're now saying they sent my refund check to an address I never confirmed with them. This company is sleazy and willing to exploit ANYONE JUST TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK. How sad. read more

Moved into a micro studio here at Thistle and it has so far been smooth sailing. From applying to getting my keys Catherine was most helpful and professional. The other person I've had the pleasure of interacting with is Herbert, who is in charge with the building's maintenance. He's been very welcoming in offering his assistance in any way possible and helped me with moving in. Made it that much easier and time to efficient. Plan to have a great year here, if not longer. This property did not leave a good first impression. We contacted them online for more information. A few days passed without a response so we went ahead and booked a tour. They finally followed up with us about our initial request for information. The tour confirmation didn't provide any information about parking so we couldn't find the leasing office when we got there. We called the office and no one answered. When we were about to leave, we received a call back from a woman who didn't sound all too interested in assisting us. She told us where to park and told us she would open the gate to the garage because she could see us in the camera. Well, we went down the little ramp she told us to go to and waited for the gate to open for a few minutes and the gate didn't open. We called her back but it went to voicemail so we left. The poor customer service leaves us wondering how we'd be treated if we were tenants here. read more

I called so many times to inquire about an apartment unit that was listed as available on your website, left messages, emails, and got nothing. Waste of my time and energy. This proves that you guys have a really bad management to start off with which I 100% would avoid living here. read more

Good luck getting a call back or anyone to respond to you about the leasing process. I emailed, called several times and heck even showed to get information and no one ever responded so I gave up. Even after hours there's no information or call back about how to see what's available or how to secure an apartment. Units seem nice from photos online but location is right next to freeway and gas station which isn't ideal. read more

Herbert, the maintenance man, is amazing! He helps me with any issues that I have, and is also extremely friendly. He also loves my cat Chester and is always excited to see him! He is an asset to this apartment complex and everyone here loves him. Catherine is also very sweet and has helped me with any questions or issues I've experienced. I have been living at Thistle since Feb 2020 and it has been a great experience. The community has been very quiet, clean and safe. Catherine, the site manager is awesome and very accommodating. If we ran into some issue, Catherine deals with it right away. Our unit has small backyard that we can hangout and have a little garden. The landscape is very well maintained and the units are modern and well equipped. read more

My boyfriend and I have had nothing but great experiences here at Thistle! Catherine has been nothing but caring and on top of everything and very communicative. As moving to a new apartment, there are always little things that get in the way or little inconveniences, but nothing that management and Catherine were not on top of right away. Dog Friendly and People friendly! We have made friends with our neighbors and our dog who is fairly submissive, has made a few pup pals as well! What a great experience at this apartment complex. They were nice and the neighbors were super friendly. Love that it is so dog friendly. We needed modifications for a disability in the apartment and the manager and facilities manager handled it was grace and speed. I can't recommend this place enough!!!! read more

The complex is in a surprisingly quiet section of Los Robles and all of the updates amenities make it a great place to call home. read more

The challenges of Thistle apartments are unrelenting, from rodents to insects to plumbing problems to broken appliances. But the lack of responsive management is what takes these structural problems to a truly intolerable level. read more

Catherine (manager) and Herbert (maintenance) have been so helpful during the time I have lived in this apartment complex. I will be moving out soon but I can say that I will truly miss this place. I love how close it is to downtown as well because Im able to walk my dog every morning. I really also love how the apartment complex is always kept up. I can truly say I read reviews before renting here and people commented about having rats and other things in their apartment but that is not true. I have never seen anything like that in my apartment and I am glad I went against the reviews. The reviews are not exactly true on here the negative ones because this place is one of the best apartments I have lived in. Ignore the reviews and try renting here because it is nothing but great. Herbert is also so very helpful with anything you need and I really appreciate how pleasant he is. If your looking for a dog friendly community that is clean, located in great area of downtown- this is it. I can't say enough great things about this apartment complex. This review is honest and this is just me wanting to say thank you to making my stay here at the apartments great as it as been. I would be remaining- if I was not moving out of state. read more

The property management team at Thistle was extremely professional and kind. Sadly I could not stay the lease because of the COVID outbreak, but Catherine Trujillo was extremely professional and understanding with accommodating me. I feel she really has the tenants best interests at heart. The apartments and amenities are also beautiful, and I'm sad I couldn't go through with the lease.
