Great vibe here. Can only talk about the drinks, but the cocktails were good and fairly priced and a couple local beers on tap. Great service. I understand the place is relatively new but I'm sure it's a great addition to Olean.

Nice place to chill. Great beer selection on draft, cans and bottles. Great cocktails. Happy to see some nice vegan food options.

About time Olean had a hip place to grab some drinks with friends! Foods not bad either!

Ordered 7 drinks. 3 were "mixed drinks" and 4 were canned/draft beers. Have been waiting for 30-45 minutes. Terribly slow.

The Empty Bottle - Cider House Mule - made with any spirit of choice!

I love Southern Tier Brewing Company's beer, especially their Pumking (though their limited Rumking…read moreis even better...) but I've also fallen in love with their Bourbon Smash cocktail-in-a-can they sell. The Empty Bottle is STBC's distillery and, to be honest, I think was more fun to go to compared to their bar/restaurant, The Empty Pint! Some family and I were visiting Jamestown for a weekend and after we had a few drinks and some food at The Empty Pint, we stumbled over to The Empty Bottle to sample some of their harder spirits and maybe some cocktails. Plus, we needed to escape the incredibly loud live music playing at The Empty Pint... Right from the start, it's a more intimate setting and was much more relaxed. We grabbed a table inside with no trouble at all and ordered a flight of their "Draught Cocktails". The ladies working behind the bar were incredibly fun, friendly, and enthusiastic and really brightened up our night! We enjoyed all of these drinks but we really loved one called "Transfusion", which was their vodka, Welch's Grape Juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and ginger ale. We all wanted to buy a few bottles of this, if they made it, it was absolutely delicious! The price for the flight was very reasonable too and they gave you a nice pour for each. If you want food though, you'll need to take a short walk over to The Empty Pint, though I'd recommend just grabbing some appetizers, do a bigger meal elsewhere. My advice to anyone visiting Southern Tier Brewing Company would be to first come to The Empty Bottle and enjoy cocktails and the harder spirits then round out the evening, once it gets a little later, with a Pumking (while it's on draft) at The Empty Pint, up the road a few steps. I'm really looking forward to coming back to The Empty Bottle the next time I'm in the area!

Server said yes, you can substitute a salad for fries, but, charged me for a salad. It was lunch, so we only had soda. They charged us for every refill and didn't say anything. For two of us our soda bill was almost $20. We should have had beer at those prices. I still left a decent tip, but I was pissed when I left $75 for a two person hamburger lunch.

But, we were starving. They have scaled back on their menu bc of covid, so if you had something in mind, call first. BUT, the abbreviated menu was all we needed! We had the capris pizza. Please don't kill me, but I don't care for the Buffalo style thick, sweet sauce pizza (but don't get me wrong--I eat it). This was wood fired and maybe a combo of Neapolitan/New York? It was crispy but just thicker than Neapolitan. This was a white pizza with pesto. This tasted like everything but the cheese was made in house. The slight drizzle of balsamic was delicate but meaningful. All in all, this was not at all the pizza we expected when we walked into a bar called Whiskey Hill in Lilydale. It was some of the best pizza we've had. We will be back, but also when we just need a drink. The place was adorable, the crowd was friendly, the bar tender was helpful and made an excellent old fashioned.

Enjoyed a lovely martini on a cozy room by a fireplace…read more The bartender was detail-oriented and was very dedicated to making sure my drink was to my liking-- how much vermouth, particular brand of vermouth, how would I care for my lime garnish, etc. Nice! We came as a larger group and they were nice enough for us to order from the breakfast menu as they switched over the lunch menu at 11:30am. Our table enjoyed the food but all agreed it wasn't worth the price point. I tried the chocolate croissant with homemade butter and maple bacon jam along with the Canadian bacon Benedict. The chocolate croissant was nice with the maple bacon jam but definitely not worth the price point of $12. The croissant was quite smaller, like the chocolate croissants you can get from Costco or Starbucks. The Canadian bacon eggs Benedict however was delicious and I really enjoyed it! I just am not sure again it was worth the high price point. However I definitely felt the service was missing. As we were the only ones in the dining area, I felt the service was missing the mark. The server saw we were carrying a baby in the restaurant but didn't ask if we wanted a high chair. My mother-in-law spied it in the corner and then we had to ask for it and we proceeded to set it up at the table. As I was with 2 young kids, I ordered some simple items before the main course like their chocolate croissant and fruit cup. I assumed the server would ask if we wanted those ahead of time but that didn't happen. He also had forgotten my son's drink order and which my son actually had to ask him after some time "where's my juice?" My older son had ordered the s'mores waffles and it looked good when it was delivered but as I cut some of it for me to try later on, I soon realized the batter was uncooked in the middle of most of them. I was thoroughly disappointed he had eaten some of it before I discovered it was uncooked. The server throughly apologized and they remade the order which in the end, we ended up taking home with us. They also didn't take the order off the check for us which normally that would happen. For such a classy restaurant, we would think they would know how to make waffles and for more top-notch service. I think next time we will just enjoy the nice views and choose to eat somewhere else when we are in the area.
