Randomly found this place one day and decided to try it for lunch. I got the beef fried hand pulled noodles. The noodles were cooked well and at first really good. However as I ate more they seemed to lose any kind of flavor. Overall still pretty good and might go back to try more

One of my favorite authentic Chinese spots that I keep coming back to. Their hand pulled noodles are the perfect texture. This time we tried the spicy salt & pepper shrimp which was seasoned to perfection. The most surprising dish was the spicy garlic eggplant. It just melted in your mouth. This spot is always a hit when I take my friends here.

Wonderful wonderful service! Uncle Zhou is a great spot for tasty and authentic Chinese food without spending a lot. The prices are really reasonable and perfect for casual meals. The hand pulled noodles are fresh and chewy and go great with the beef broth. The crispy dumplings are also really good and packed with juicy filling. Try the eggplant too! We loved the crispy chicken!!!!! If you want real Chinese flavors that won't break the bank, Uncle Zhou is definitely worth checking out.

Tucked away to the side of a busy plaza, Yncle Zhou's is a gem. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the dishes are great. I tried one of the hand pulled beef noodle soups and while it was good, I wasn't a fan of the broth and the meat they used. They really should just use regular beef instead of the fatty, tendony cut that comes with it. I much preferred the blackbean and pork noodle dish--amazing! The fresh made noodles here really shines and the flavors are in every dish they make. Plus the friendly service really just makes Uncle Zhous outstanding. Can't wait for my next fix!

Went back to have lunch here. We ordered fish fillet with sweet and sour sauce and shrimp fried rice. They're delicious. Service is great. Ambiance is outstanding.

Uncle Zhou is a very solid neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The food is solid, the service is friendly, and the portions are good. We ordered the Oil Splashed noodles and some of their more traditional family style dishes. Their oil splashed noodles stood out to me in particular because the bounciness and cook of the noodles was perfect while the garlic and other seasonings are super fragrant. While none of the dishes here are the best versions I have had, everything I tried was solid and I would not complain or be mad at any of the other dishes I tried. I would recommend going with a few friends or your family so that you can try multiple dishes and noodles. After all, the restaurant features a number of bigger tables so go enjoy some hand pulled noodles!

This meal was unfortunately disappointing. We got the lamb hand pulled noodles and general tso chicken. I felt like the noodles were overcooked rather than chewy, probably because of the steaming hot broth, and the broth itself tasted salty but had no depth of flavor. It seemed like what made it "lamb" noodles was them placing a few pieces of meat on top but the lamb flavor didnt translate to the broth at all. The general tso chicken was nothing great either. I felt like the chicken wasn't very high quality. The service was good and they have a great interior. I just didn't love the food.

Amazing taste! The broth in our noodle was so fresh and savory. The noodles are so tender and good. It did not feel heavy at all. Everything was great and the atmosphere was great as well.

I've been seeing this spot pop up all over my instagram and tiktok and I finally got to try it today! The restaurant is pretty big and has alot of seating available and the decor is also cute on the inside. My friends and I family styled the food and tried several dishes. We got the green beans, the cucumber salad, the oil hand draw noodles, lamb dumplings, shrimp fried rice and the pepper steak. All of the food was so good and delicious and was more than enough for the 4 of us. We finished it all! My favorites were the steak and noodles. The dumplings were my least favorite but they were still pretty good. Also the chili oil they provide has a lot of flavor as well and adds a good kick to the food. I recommend coming here and I will definitely be back to try more things!

My family had a quick pre-Christmas dinner here and we were really impress with how tasty everything was. The stand outs were the flat noodles, dial oil noodles, dragon eggplant and the pork belly. I would definitely order the flat noodles again. Perfectly quick fried in the wok that it was still able to have a slight chewy texture. This is definitely a place I would only eat dine-in and not take out so you can eat the noodles as soon as it comes out and it doesn't get bloated or soggy.

Came across this place on yelp and it was delicious! We ordered the beef hand pulled noodles, lamb cheese burger and lamb dumplings. Did not disappoint! If you are only getting one thing I highly recommend getting the noodles. The ambiance and service was great too!

We tried Uncle Zhou for the first time on a Saturday night. The wait was about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad. They have a simple system where you write your name in a notebook at the front, and they call you when your table is ready. The food came out pretty quickly, which was nice. We ordered the beef wide noodle and the pork kouwan. Both dishes were packed with strong, heavily spiced flavors--definitely a distinct Chinese spice profile. The beef wide noodle had a good texture, and the broth was flavorful. My only real complaint was the tiny rice portion considering how cheap rice is should give us a bigger bowl of rice. So the pork kouwan it came with a tiny bowl of rice, which wasn't nearly enough, so I had to ask for an extra rice serving. We also got the fried dumplings, which were okay--not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the food was good. If it were closer to us, we might go again, but given the long drive, it's not something we'd go out of our way for. It's a decent spot if you're in the area and craving some bold Chinese flavors, but probably not worth a special trip.

Still really good. My favorite item is still the dial oil noodles but the bean sauce and pork one is also delicious I might have to alternate!

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!!…read more My husband and I found this place by chance and thought we'd give it a shot. I'm so glad we did! We ordered the Spicy Rice Cakes (Tteok-bokki) which was soo good! If you like mochi you will like this! It's slightly firmer in texture but it's deliciously bouncy and the sauce is mildly spicy and full of flavor. We also ordered the Stir-fried Glass Noodles and Vegetables w/Beef (Japchae) these are savory noodles with no spice with various sautéed veggies. They claim both of these are appetizers but they are huge portions! We also ordered the Grilled Pork Belly. They said this is their specialty and OH BOY IS IT!! They bring a grill/hot plate thing to your table and cook the pork belly right there next to you! They also bring out all sorts of sides such as kimchi, fresh lettuce, picked cucumber, cooked mushrooms, fish cakes, garlic, bean sprouts, lettuce with what I believe was gochujang sauce on top, flakey sea salt and possibly more if I'm remembering incorrectly. They even give you suggestions on how to eat it and it was the MOST DELICIOUS DISH! I am not a fan of fatty meat (and I ordered pork belly, I know!) but they crisp it up so nicely in the pan that I did not notice the fat. The plain meat by itself with a little sea salt on top was Divine but when you add it with some sautéd onion, garlic, bean sprouts, and kimchi on fresh lettuce..... there are no words for how delicious that is! And that is just the food! The customer service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was chill and cozy. Moral of my story is, EAT HERE! Give this place a try and I'm sure they won't disappoint you. 20/10 would recommend! I will be back because this place is GOLD!

I really enjoyed the American cuisine here--great food and a nice atmosphere overall…read more I ordered the French onion soup and the Reuben eggrolls. The French onion soup seems to be popular here, and as soon as I saw that buttery-looking pastry puff baked on top, I knew I had to order it! It was definitely hearty, with plenty of onions (which I love). However, it was a bit saltier than I prefer. I do wish there were an option to substitute the onion soup with a chowder, like clam or corn chowder. The Reuben eggrolls were surprisingly good! I'm used to traditional Asian eggrolls, so I really liked this creative twist. The house-smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, and melted Gruyère cheese worked so well together. They tasted amazing with the spicy Russian dipping sauce (which I appreciated wasn't too spicy). It was such a flavorful and memorable dish! I'm glad I gave it a try.

I'm so happy they built a Cho Dang in Plano!…read more This place is one of my favorite go-tos for Korean tofu soup & short ribs (galbi). I love ordering the combos so I get a little bit of everything that I want. The portions are decent if you're hungry & want to finish everything OR if you're not too hungry, eat half, and take the other half to-go for lunch the next day. The service is aligned with what you'd expect from a Korean place. Some of the older ladies working there are so sweet and helpful, especially if you tell them it's your first time, and some of them seem more intimidating and aggressive. Typically there isn't a wait for tables. Only times I've waited for a table are peak weekend dinner hours. The most I waited was maybe 15 minutes, as their service is quite fast for a sit down restaurant. This location has seats where you can store your personal belongings in them!

They have a variety of tofu soup options, along with other traditional Korean dishes. My table of four ordered a seafood pancake, various tofu soups, and kalbi. The seafood pancake was disappointing-- there was very little seafood and the center was mushy, not crispy. I got the intestine tofu soup in medium spicy, which had large chunks of intestine and generous helpings of tofu. The soup portions are so large, I didn't even finish my rice. As for the side dishes/banchan, nothing really stood out. As for the service, we were seated and helped really quickly, but pretty much left alone for the remainder of the meal. The prices here are decent, especially if you share a combo meat and soup with a friend.
